If [there is] any therefore encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of [the] Spirit, if (any *N(k)O*) affections and compassions,
do fulfill my joy so that the same you may be minded, the same love having, united in soul, the same thing minding,
3 Mũtikaneke ũndũ mũkĩenda kwĩguna inyuĩ ene, o na kana nĩ ũndũ wa kwĩgaatha, no ikaragai mwĩnyiihĩtie, o mũndũ agatuaga mũndũ ũrĩa ũngĩ nĩ mwega makĩria yake mwene.
nothing according to self-interest (nor *N(k)O*) (according to *no*) vain conceit but in humility one another be esteeming surpassing themselves;
4 O mũndũ wanyu ndakarũmbũyagie maũndũ o marĩa mamũkoniĩ, no nĩarũmbũyagie maũndũ ma andũ arĩa angĩ o namo.
not the [things] their own (each one *NK(o)*) (considering *N(k)O*) but also the [things] of others (everyone. *N(k)O*)
5 Mwĩciirĩrie wanyu wagĩrĩirwo ũtuĩke o ta ũrĩa warĩ na Kristũ Jesũ:
This (for *k*) (do be thinking *N(k)O*) in you which also in Christ Jesus [was]:
6 We-rĩ, o na gũtuĩka aarĩ Ngai, ndonire kũiganana na Ngai taarĩ ũndũ wa gũkumbatĩrio,
Who in [the] form of God existing not something to be grasped considered to be equal with God,
7 nowe nĩgũtiganĩria aatiganĩirie ũnene wake wothe, agĩtuĩka ta ngombo, agĩciarwo ta andũ a gũkũ thĩ.
but Himself emptied [the] form of a servant having taken, in [the] likeness of men having been made,
8 Nake ahaana ta mũndũ-rĩ, akĩĩnyiihia, na agĩathĩka o nginya akĩũragwo, o kũũragwo kũrĩa kwa mũtharaba!
And in appearance having been found as a man He humbled Himself having become obedient unto death, [the] death even of [the] cross;
9 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, Ngai nĩamũtũũgĩririe o nginya igũrũ mũno, na akĩmũhe rĩĩtwa rĩrĩa rĩkĩrĩte marĩa mangĩ mothe,
Therefore also God Him highly exalted and granted to Him (the *no*) name above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee may bow in the heavens and on earth and under the earth,
11 na ningĩ atĩ nĩmĩ ciothe ciumbũrage atĩ Jesũ Kristũ nĩ Mwathani, nĩguo Ngai Ithe witũ agoocagwo.
and every tongue may confess that [is] Lord Jesus Christ to [the] glory of God [the] Father.
12 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, arata akwa endwa-rĩ, o ta ũrĩa mũtũire mwathĩkaga, na to rĩrĩa ndaarĩ hamwe na inyuĩ, no makĩria rĩu itarĩ hamwe na inyuĩ-rĩ, thiĩi na mbere kũrutĩra ũhonokio wanyu wĩra, mũgĩĩtigagĩra na mũkĩinainaga,
Therefore, beloved of mine, even as always you have obeyed, not as in the presence of me only but now much more in the absence of me, with fear and trembling your own salvation do work out;
13 nĩgũkorwo nĩ Ngai ũrutaga wĩra thĩinĩ wanyu agatũma mwende gwĩkaga maũndũ make kũringana na wendi wake mwega.
(*k*) God for is the [One] working in you both to will and to work according to [His] good pleasure.
14 Ĩkagai maũndũ mothe mũtekũnuguna na mũtegũkararania,
All things do perform without murmurings and disputings,
so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God (blameless *N(k)O*) (in *k*) ([the] midst *N(k)O*) of a generation crooked and perverted among whom you shine as lights in [the] world,
16 o mũrũmĩtie kiugo kĩa muoyo, nĩguo ngaagĩa na ũndũ wa kwĩrahĩra mũthenya ũrĩa wa Kristũ atĩ ndiahanyũkire tũhũ kana ngĩruta wĩra ngĩnoga tũhũ.
[the] word of life holding forth, unto a boast to me myself in [the] day of Christ that not in vain I did run nor in vain toil.
17 No rĩrĩ, o na ingĩtuĩka ndĩraitwo thakame igũrũ rĩa igongona ta ndĩ iruta rĩa kũnyuuo, nĩ ũndũ wa ũtungata ũrĩa mũtungatagĩra Ngai uumanĩte na wĩtĩkio wanyu-rĩ, nĩ ngenaga na ngacanjamũka hamwe na inyuĩ inyuothe.
but if even I am being poured out on the sacrifice and on [the] service of the faith of you, I am glad and I rejoice with all you;
18 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, o na inyuĩ nĩmwagĩrĩirwo nĩgũkena na mũcanjamũke hamwe na niĩ.
And likewise also you yourselves do be glad and do rejoice with me.
19 Nĩngwĩhoka ndĩ thĩinĩ wa Mwathani Jesũ atĩ nĩngũmũtũmĩra Timotheo o narua, nĩgeetha o na niĩ ngaakena hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ngaaheo ũhoro wanyu.
I hope however in [the] Lord Jesus Timothy soon to send to you, that I myself also I myself also may be encouraged having known the [things] concerning you;
20 Nĩgũkorwo ndirĩ mũndũ ũngĩ ũhaana take, ũrĩa ũngĩrũmbũiya maũndũ manyu na ma.
No [one] for I have like-minded, who genuinely the [things] relative to you will care for;
21 Nĩgũkorwo andũ arĩa angĩ othe marũmbũyagia maũndũ mao ene, no ti maũndũ ma Jesũ Kristũ.
Those all for the [things] their own are seeking, not the [things] (*k*) Jesus of Christ;
22 No inyuĩ nĩmũũĩ atĩ Timotheo nĩeyonanĩtie atĩ nĩ mũndũ mwega, tondũ o ta ũrĩa mwana atungataga hamwe na ithe-rĩ, noguo akoretwo agĩtungata hamwe na niĩ wĩra-inĩ wa kũhunjia Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega.
But the proven worth of him you know, that as a father [with] a child with me myself he has served in the gospel.
23 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, nĩndĩrehoka kũmũtũma kũrĩ inyuĩ o ndaarĩkia kũmenya ũrĩa maũndũ makwa megũikara.
Him indeed therefore I hope to send when maybe (I may have seen *N(k)O*) the [things] concerning me myself immediately;
I have been persuaded however in [the] Lord that also I myself soon I will come.
25 No rĩrĩ, nĩnguona kwagĩrĩire ndĩmũtũmĩre mũrũ wa Ithe witũ Epafarodito, ũrĩa tũrutaga wĩra na tũkarũĩrĩra ũhoro wa Ngai nake, na nĩwe mũtũmwo wanyu ũrĩa mwandũmĩire nĩguo arũmbũyagie mabata makwa.
Necessary now I esteemed [it] Epaphroditus the brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier of mine, of you now messenger and minister of the need of mine, to send to you;
26 Nĩgũkorwo nĩamwĩriragĩria inyuothe, na nĩaratangĩka tondũ nĩmwaiguĩte atĩ aarĩ mũrũaru.
since longing after he was all you (to see *O*) and being deeply distressed because you heard that he was ill.
27 Ti-itherũ aarĩ mũrũaru, o na aarĩ hakuhĩ gũkua. No Ngai nĩamũiguĩrĩire tha, na to we wiki waiguĩrĩirwo tha, no o na niĩ nĩanjiguĩrĩire tha nĩguo ndikae kũingĩhĩrwo nĩ kĩeha mũno.
And indeed he was sick nearly (unto death; *NK(o)*) but God had mercy on him not on him now alone but also on me myself, that not sorrow upon sorrow I may have.
28 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, kĩu nĩkĩo kĩratũma ndĩmũtũme na kwĩyendera kũnene, nĩgeetha mwamuona rĩngĩ mũkene, na niĩ nyihanyiihĩrwo nĩ gũtangĩka.
All the more speedily therefore I have sent him, that having seen him again you may rejoice, and I myself and I myself less anxious may be.
do receive therefore him in [the] Lord with all joy and such in honor do hold;
30 tondũ aarĩ hakuhĩ gũkua nĩ ũndũ wa wĩra wa Kristũ, ategũcaaĩra muoyo wake, nĩgeetha andeithĩrĩrie na ũteithio ũrĩa inyuĩ mũtangĩahotire kũũhe.
because for the sake of the work (*k*) (of Christ *NK(O)*) unto death he came near having disregarded [his] life so that he may fill up the of you deficit of toward me service.
