Nehemia 3
1 Na rĩrĩ, Eliashibu mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũrĩa mũnene na athĩnjĩri-Ngai arĩa angĩ a thiritũ yake, magĩthiĩ kũruta wĩra, na magĩcookereria Kĩhingo kĩa Ngʼondu. Magĩkĩamũra na magĩgĩĩkĩra mĩrango. Magĩaka o nginya Mũthiringo ũrĩa mũraihu na igũrũ wa Igana, ũrĩa maamũrire, na magĩaka o nginya Mũthiringo ũrĩa mũraihu na igũrũ wa Hananeli.
Then arose Eliashib the high priest and his brethren the priests, and built the sheep-gate, they, hallowed it, and set up the doors thereof, —even unto the tower of Hammeah, hallowed they it, unto the tower of Hananel;
2 Andũ a Jeriko magĩaka gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩariganĩtie na ho, nake Zakuri mũrũ wa Imuri agĩaka kũrigania nao.
and, at his hand, built, the men of Jericho, —and at his [other] hand built Zaccur, son of Imri.
3 Kĩhingo gĩa Thamaki gĩakirwo rĩngĩ nĩ ariũ a Hasenaa. Nĩmarire mĩgogo yakĩo, na magĩĩkĩra mĩrango na igera cia kũmĩhinga na icuuma ciakĩo.
And, the fish-gate, did the sons of Hassenaah build, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
4 Meremothu mũrũ wa Uria mũrũ wa Hakozu, nĩwe wacookereirie gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩarũmĩrĩire. Nake Meshulamu mũrũ wa Berekia mũrũ wa Meshezabeli agĩcookereria rũthingo gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩariganĩtie na hau. Ningĩ Zadoku mũrũ wa Baana agĩthiĩ na mbere gũcookereria gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩarũmĩrĩire.
and, at their hand, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, and, at their hand, repaired, Meshullum son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel, —and, at their hand, repaired, Zadok son of Baana;
5 Gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩarũmĩrĩire gĩacookereirio nĩ andũ a Tekoa, no andũ ao arĩa maarĩ igweta nĩmaregire kũruta wĩra ũrĩa maaheetwo nĩ arũgamĩrĩri ao.
and, at their hand, repaired, the Tekoites, —but, their chiefs, put not their neck into the service of their lords.
6 Joiada mũrũ wa Pasea marĩ na Meshulamu mũrũ wa Besodeia nĩo macookereirie Kĩhingo kĩa Jeshanahi. Nĩmarire mĩgogo yakĩo, na magĩĩkĩra mĩrango na igera cia kũmĩhinga na icuuma ciakĩo.
And, the old gate, did Joiada son of Paseah, and Meshullam, son of Besodeiah, repair, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
7 Kũrigania nao, wĩra wa gũcookereria rũthingo warutirwo nĩ andũ a kuuma Gibeoni na Mizipa, nĩo Melatia wa Gibeoni, na Jadoni wa Meronothu, matũũra marĩa maathagwo nĩ barũthi wa Mũrĩmo-wa-Farati.
and, at their hand, repaired, Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, —who pertained to the throne of the pasha Beyond the River;
8 Uzieli mũrũ wa Harihaia, ũmwe wa aturi a thahabu, nĩacookereirie kũrĩa kwarũmĩrĩire; nake Hanania, ũmwe wa athondeki a maguta manungi wega, agĩcookereria rũthingo harĩa haariganĩtie na hau. Magĩcookereria rũthingo rwa Jerusalemu o nginya Rũthingo rũrĩa Rwariĩ.
at his hand, repaired, Uzziel son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, and, at his hand, repaired Hananiah son of the perfumers, —and they fortified Jerusalem, as far as the broad wall;
9 Gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩarũmĩrĩire gĩacookereirio nĩ Refaia mũrũ wa Huri ũrĩa warĩ mwathi wa nuthu ya gĩcigo kĩmwe kĩa Jerusalemu.
and, at their hand, repaired, Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem;
10 Kũhakana na hau, Jedaia mũrũ wa Harumafu agĩcookereria rũthingo rũrĩa rwangʼetheire nyũmba yake, nake Hatushu mũrũ wa Hashabineia agĩcookereria rũthingo rũrĩa rwariganĩtie nake.
and, at their hand, repaired, Jedaiah son of Harumaph, even over against his own house, —and, at his hand, repaired, Hattush, son of Hashabneiah;
11 Malikija mũrũ wa Harimu, na Hashubu mũrũ wa Pahathu-Moabi nao nĩmacookereirie gĩcunjĩ kĩngĩ, hamwe na Mũthiringo ũrĩa mũraihu na igũrũ wa Mariiko ma Mwaki.
a second length, did Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-moab, repair, —also the tower of the ovens;
12 Gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩarũmĩrĩire gĩacookereirio nĩ Shalumu mũrũ wa Haloheshu, mwathi wa nuthu ya gĩcigo kĩa Jerusalemu, ateithĩrĩirio nĩ airĩtu ake.
and, at his hand, repaired, Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem, —he and his daughters.
13 Kĩhingo gĩa Kĩanda gĩacookereirio nĩ Hanuni hamwe na andũ arĩa maatũũraga Zanoa. Magĩgĩaka rĩngĩ na magĩĩkĩra mĩrango, na igera cia kũmĩhinga na icuuma ciakĩo, ningĩ magĩcookereria rũthingo ũraihu wa mĩkono 1,000 o nginya Kĩhingo gĩa Kĩara-inĩ.
The valley-gate, did Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah, repair, —they, built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also a thousand cubits in the wall, as far as the dung-gate.
14 Kĩhingo gĩa Kĩara-inĩ gĩacookereirio nĩ Malikija mũrũ wa Rekabu, mwathi wa gĩcigo kĩa Bethi-Hakeremu. Agĩgĩaka rĩngĩ na agĩĩkĩra mĩrango, na igera cia kũmĩhinga na icuuma ciakĩo.
And, the dung-gate, did Malchijah son of Rechab, ruler of the circuit of Beth-haccherem, repair, —he, built it, and set up the doors thereof, he locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
15 Kĩhingo gĩa Gĩthima gĩacookereirio nĩ Shalumu mũrũ wa Koli-Hoze, mwathi wa gĩcigo kĩa Mizipa. Agĩgĩaka rĩngĩ, agĩkĩgita, na agĩĩkĩra mĩrango na igera cia kũmĩhinga na icuuma ciakĩo. Ningĩ nĩacookereirie rũthingo rwa Karia ga Siloamu kũrigania na Mũgũnda wa Mũthamaki, o nginya ngathĩ-inĩ ya gũikũrũka kuuma Itũũra Inene rĩa Daudi.
And, the fountain-gate, did Shallun son of Col-hozeh ruler of the circuit of Mizpah, repair, he, built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also the wall of the pool of Shelah, by the garden of the king, even as far as the stairs that go down from the city of David;
16 Kuuma harĩ we, Nehemia mũrũ wa Azibuku, mwathi wa nuthu ya gĩcigo kĩmwe kĩa Bethi-Zuru, agĩcookereria rũthingo nginya kũngʼethera mbĩrĩra cia Daudi, o nginya karia-inĩ ga kwĩyenjera, na o nginya Nyũmba ya Njamba cia Ita.
after him, repaired, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of the half-circuit of Beth-zur, —as far as over against the sepulchres of David, even unto the pool which had been made, and unto the house of heroes;
17 Kũrigania nake, wĩra wa gũcookereria rũthingo warutirwo nĩ Alawii arĩa maarũgamĩrĩirwo nĩ Rehumu mũrũ wa Bani. Kũrigania nake, Hashabia, mwathi wa nuthu ya gĩcigo gĩa Keila, agĩcookereria rũthingo handũ-inĩ ha andũ a gĩcigo gĩake.
after him, repaired, the Levites, Rehum son of Bani, —at his hand, repaired, Hashabiah, ruler of the half-circuit of Keilah, for his circuit;
18 Kũrigania nake, andũ ao a bũrũri nĩo maacookereirie rũthingo matongoretio nĩ Binui mũrũ wa Henadadi, mwathi wa nuthu ĩyo ĩngĩ ya Keila.
after him, repaired, their brethren, Bavvai son of Henadad, —ruler of the [other] half-circuit of Keilah;
19 Kũrigania nake, Ezeri mũrũ wa Jeshua, mwathi wa Mizipa, nĩacookereirie gĩcunjĩ kĩngĩ kuuma harĩa haangʼetheire mwambato nginya harĩa haigagwo indo cia mbaara, o nginyagia koine-inĩ.
and there repaired at his hand, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, a second length, —over against the ascent of the armoury, at the corner;
20 Kũrigania nake, Baruku mũrũ wa Zabai agĩcookereria gĩcunjĩ kĩngĩ arĩ na kĩyo, kuuma koine-inĩ nginya itoonyero rĩa nyũmba ya Eliashibu mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũrĩa mũnene.
after him, zealously repaired Baruch son of Zabbai, a second length, —from the corner, unto the opening of the house of Eliashib, the high priest;
21 Kũrigania nake, Meremothu mũrũ wa Uria, mũrũ wa Hakozu, nĩacookereirie gĩcunjĩ kĩu kĩngĩ kuuma itoonyero rĩa nyũmba ya Eliashibu nginya mũthia-inĩ wayo.
after him, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, a second length, —from the opening of the house of Eliashib, even unto the end of the house of Eliashib;
22 Kũrigania nake, rũthingo rwacookereirio nĩ athĩnjĩri-Ngai a kuuma rũgongo rũrĩa rwathiũrũrũkĩirie kũu.
and, after him, repaired, the priests, the men of the Circuit;
23 Kuuma harĩo, Benjamini na Hashubu magĩcookereria rũthingo gĩcunjĩ kĩrĩa kĩarĩ mbere ya nyũmba yao; na kũrigania nao, Azaria mũrũ wa Maaseia, mũrũ wa Anania, agĩcookereria rũthingo hakuhĩ na nyũmba yake.
after him, repaired, Benjamin and Hasshub, over against their own house, —after him, repaired, Azariah son of Maaseiah son of Ananiah, beside his own house;
24 Kũrigania nake, Binui mũrũ wa Henadadi nĩacookereirie gĩcunjĩ kĩngĩ kuuma nyũmba-inĩ ya Azaria o nginya koine-inĩ harĩa thingo ciacemanĩirie,
after him, repaired, Binnui son of Henadad, a second length, —from the house of Azariah, unto the corner, even unto the pinnacle:
25 nake Palali mũrũ wa Uzai agĩcookereria rũthingo kũngʼethera harĩa thingo ciacemanĩirie na mũthiringo ũrĩa wacomokete nyũmba-inĩ ya igũrũ ya mũthamaki hakuhĩ na nja ya arangĩri. Kũrigania nake, Pedaia mũrũ wa Paroshu
Palal, son of Uzai, from over against the corner, and the tower that projecteth from the upper house of the king, which belongeth to the court of custody, —after him, Pedaiah son of Parosh.
26 hamwe na atungati a hekarũ arĩa maatũũraga kĩrĩma-igũrũ kĩa Ofeli magĩcookereria rũthingo o nginya kũngʼethera Kĩhingo kĩa Maaĩ kwerekera mwena wa irathĩro na kũngʼethera mũthiringo ũrĩa wacomokete na igũrũ.
Now, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —as far as over against the water-gate, on the east, and the tower that projecteth;
27 Kũrigania nao, andũ a Tekoa magĩcookereria gĩcunjĩ kĩngĩ kuuma mũthiringo mũnene ũrĩa wacomokete na igũrũ nginya rũthingo rwa Ofeli.
after him, repaired, the Tekoites, a second length, —from over against the great tower that projecteth, even unto the wall of Ophel:
28 Igũrũ wa Kĩhingo kĩa Mbarathi, athĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩmacookereirie rũthingo, o mũndũ mbere ya nyũmba yake.
from beside the horse-gate, repaired the priests, every one over against his own house;
29 Kũrigania nao, Zadoku mũrũ wa Imeri agĩcookereria rũthingo kũngʼethera nyũmba yake. Kũrigania nake, Shemaia mũrũ wa Shekania, mũikaria wa Kĩhingo kĩa Irathĩro, nĩwe wacookereirie rũthingo rũrĩa rwarũmĩrĩire.
after him, repaired, Zadok son of Immer, over against his own house, —and, after him, repaired, Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the east-gate;
30 Kũrigania nake, Hanania mũrũ wa Shelemia, na Hanuni mũriũ wa gatandatũ wa Zalafu, nĩo maacookereirie gĩcunjĩ kĩu kĩngĩ. Kũrigania nao, Meshulamu mũrũ wa Berekia agĩcookereria rũthingo kũngʼethera harĩa aikaraga.
after him, repaired, Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun sixth son of Zalaph, a second length, —after him, repaired, Meshullam son of Berechiah, over against his chamber;
31 Kũrigania nake, Malikija, ũmwe wa aturi a thahabu, agĩcookereria rũthingo nginya nyũmba-inĩ ya ndungata cia hekarũ na cia onjorithia, kũngʼethera Kĩhingo gĩa Gũtuĩria, na o nginya kanyũmba karĩa kaarĩ igũrũ rĩa koine;
after him, repaired, Malchijah son of Zorphi, as far as the house of the Nethinim, and the traders, —over against the muster-gate, even unto the ascent of the pinnacle;
32 na gatagatĩ ga kanyũmba karĩa kaarĩ igũrũ rĩa koine na Kĩhingo kĩa Ngʼondu haacookereirio nĩ aturi a thahabu na onjorithia.
and, between the ascent of the pinnacle and the sheep-gate, repaired, the goldsmiths, and the traders.
