Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra;

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush;
3 na Shekania, na Rehumu, na Meremothu,
Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth;
4 na Ido, na Ginethoni, na Abija,
Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah;
5 na Mijamini, na Maadia, na Biliga,
Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah;
6 na Shemaia, na Joiaribu, na Jedaia,
Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah;
7 na Salu, na Amoku, na Hilikia, na Jedaia. Acio nĩo maarĩ atongoria a athĩnjĩri-Ngai na athiritũ ao, matukũ-inĩ macio ma Jeshua.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
8 Nao Alawii maarĩ Jeshua, na Binui, na Kadimieli, na Sherebia, na Juda, o na Matania, ũrĩa, marĩ hamwe na athiritũ ake, nĩwe warũgamĩrĩire arĩa maainaga nyĩmbo cia gũcookia ngaatho.
Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in wards.

And Jeshua begot Joiakim, and Joiakim begot Eliashib, and Eliashib begot Joiada,

and Joiada begot Jonathan and Jonathan begot Jaddua.
12 Matukũ-inĩ ma Joiakimu, aya nĩo maarĩ atongoria a nyũmba cia athĩnjĩri-Ngai: ya Seraia, aarĩ Meraia; ya Jeremia, aarĩ Hanania;
And in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers' houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
13 ya Ezara, aarĩ Meshulamu; ya Amaria, aarĩ Jehohanani;
of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14 ya Maluki, aarĩ Jonathani; ya Shebania, aarĩ Jusufu;
of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
15 ya Harimu, aarĩ Adina; ya Meraiothu, aarĩ Helikai;
of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;
16 ya Ido, aarĩ Zekaria; ya Ginethoni, aarĩ Meshulamu;
of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
17 ya Abija, aarĩ Zikiri; ya Miniamini na Moadia, aarĩ Pilitai;
of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin; of Moadiah, Piltai;
18 ya Biliga, aarĩ Shamua; ya Shemaia, aarĩ Jehonathani;
of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
19 ya Joiaribu, aarĩ Matenai; ya Jedaia, aarĩ Uzi;
and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
20 ya Salai, aarĩ Kalai; ya Amoku, aarĩ Eberi;
of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
21 ya Hilikia, aarĩ Hashabia; na ya Jedaia, aarĩ Nethaneli.
of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.
22 Nao atongoria a nyũmba cia Alawii matukũ-inĩ ma Eliashibu, na Joiada, na Johanani, na Jadua, o ũndũ ũmwe na atongoria a athinjĩri-Ngai, nĩmandĩkirwo marĩĩtwa mao hĩndĩ ya wathani wa Dario ũrĩa Mũperisia.
The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded heads of fathers' houses; also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Atongoria a nyũmba cia njiaro cia Lawi nginya hĩndĩ ya Johanani mũrũ wa Eliashibu o nao nĩmandĩkĩtwo ibuku-inĩ rĩa matukũ macio.
The sons of Levi, heads of fathers' houses, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward against ward.

These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.
27 Hĩndĩ ya kwamũrwo kwa rũthingo rwa Jerusalemu, Alawii nĩmacaririo kuuma kũrĩa guothe maarĩ nĩguo moke Jerusalemu makũngũĩre kwamũrwo kũu marĩ na gĩkeno, na makĩinaga nyĩmbo cia gũcookia ngaatho, makĩinaga na thaani iria ihũũrithanagio, na inanda cia kĩnũbi, na cia mũgeeto.
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the Plain round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;

also from Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
30 Nao athĩnjĩri-Ngai na Alawii marĩkia gwĩtheria, magĩtheria andũ, na ihingo, o na rũthingo.
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Atongoria a Juda nĩndameerire mahaice rũthingo-igũrũ. Ningĩ ngĩhe ikundi igĩrĩ nene cia aini wĩra wa gũcookia ngaatho. Gĩkundi kĩmwe gĩgĩthiĩ mwena wa ũrĩo kĩrĩ rũthingo-igũrũ, kĩerekeire Kĩhingo gĩa Kĩara-inĩ.
Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession: on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate;

and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah;
33 hamwe na Azaria, na Ezara, na Meshulamu,
and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;

and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;
36 na athiritũ ake, nĩo Shemaia, na Azareli, na Milalai, na Gilalai, na Maai, na Nethaneli, na Juda, na Hanani, marĩ na indo cia kũina nacio o ta ũrĩa gwathanĩtwo nĩ Daudi, mũndũ wa Ngai. Ezara ũrĩa mwandĩki-marũa nĩwe wamatongoretie.
and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them;

and by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
38 Gĩkundi gĩa keerĩ kĩa aini gĩgĩthiĩ kĩerekeire mwena wa ũmotho. Na niĩ ngĩmarũmĩrĩra kũu rũthingo igũrũ hamwe na nuthu ya andũ, tũkĩhĩtũkĩra Mũthiringo wa Mariiko ma Mwaki o nginya Rũthingo-inĩ Rwariĩ,
And the other company of them that gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even unto the broad wall;
39 igũrũ rĩa Kĩhingo kĩa Efiraimu, na Kĩhingo kĩa Jeshana, na Kĩhingo gĩa Thamaki, na Mũthiringo wa Hananeli, na Mũthiringo wa Igana, nginya Kĩhingo-inĩ kĩa Ngʼondu. Makĩrũgama Kĩhingo-inĩ kĩa Mũrangĩri.
and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the gate of the old city and by the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even unto the sheep gate; and they stood still in the gate of the guard.
40 Ikundi icio cierĩ cia aini cia gũcookia ngaatho igĩikara handũ ha cio thĩinĩ wa nyũmba ya Ngai, o na niĩ ngĩĩka o ũguo, hamwe na nuthu ya anene,
So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;
41 o ũndũ ũmwe na athĩnjĩri-Ngai, nĩo Eliakimu, na Maaseia, na Miniamini, na Mikaia, na Elioenai, na Zekaria, na Hanania marĩ na tũrumbeta twao,
and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42 o hamwe na Maaseia, na Shemaia, na Eleazaru, na Uzi, na Jehohanani, na Malikija, na Elamu, na Ezeri. Nao aini maatongoragio nĩ Jezerahia.
and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43 Na mũthenya ũcio nĩmarutire magongona manene, makĩrũũhagia tondũ Ngai nĩamaheete gĩkeno kĩnene. O nao andũ-a-nja na ciana magĩkena. Mbugĩrĩrio ya gĩkeno kũu Jerusalemu nĩyaiguĩkaga kũndũ kũraya.
And they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced; so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44 Mahinda-inĩ macio nĩ gwathuurirwo andũ marũgamĩrĩre makũmbĩ ma indo iria ciarutagwo, na maciaro ma mbere, na gĩcunjĩ gĩa ikũmi. Kuuma mĩgũnda-inĩ ĩrĩa yathiũrũrũkĩirie matũũra magĩrĩirwo kurehe makũmbĩ-inĩ icunjĩ iria ciatuĩtwo nĩ watho irĩ cia athĩnjĩri-Ngai na Alawii, tondũ andũ a Juda nĩmakenagĩra athĩnjĩri-Ngai na Alawii arĩa maatungataga.
And on that day were men appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, according to the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that took their stations.
45 Nĩmarutaga wĩra wa gũtungatĩra Ngai wao, na wĩra wa gwĩtheria, o ta ũrĩa aini na aikaria a ihingo meekaga, kũringana na ũrĩa gwathanĩtwo nĩ Daudi na mũriũ Solomoni.
And they kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, and so did the singers and the porters, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46 Nĩgũkorwo tene mũno, matukũ-inĩ ma Daudi na ma Asafu, nĩ kwarĩ na atongoria a aini na a nyĩmbo cia kũgooca na gũcookeria Ngai ngaatho.
For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio matukũ-inĩ ma Zerubabeli na ma Nehemia, andũ a Isiraeli othe nĩmarutaga icunjĩ cia o mũthenya nĩ ũndũ wa aini na aikaria a ihingo. Ningĩ nĩmamũraga icunjĩ nĩ ũndũ wa Alawii arĩa angĩ, nao Alawii makaamũra icunjĩ nĩ ũndũ wa njiaro cia Harũni.
And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, as every day required; and they hallowed for the Levites; and the Levites hallowed for the sons of Aaron.
