< Mathayo 13 >
1 Mũthenya o ro ũcio-rĩ, Jesũ nĩoimire nyũmba agĩthiĩ agĩikara thĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia iria.
The same day went Iesus out of the house, and sate by the sea side.
2 Ikundi cia andũ aingĩ mũno ikĩũngana harĩa aarĩ nginya ĩgĩtũma atoonye gatarũ na agĩikara thĩ thĩinĩ wayo, nao andũ acio othe makĩrũgama hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia iria.
And great multitudes resorted vnto him, so that he went into a ship, and sate downe: and the whole multitude stoode on the shore.
3 Nake akĩmaruta maũndũ maingĩ na ngerekano, akĩmeera atĩrĩ: “Mũrĩmi nĩoimagarire akahure mbeũ ciake.
Then he spake many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sowe.
4 Na rĩrĩa aahuraga mbeũ icio-rĩ, imwe ikĩgũa mũkĩra-inĩ wa njĩra, nacio nyoni igĩũka ĩgĩcirĩa.
And as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the foules came and deuoured them vp.
5 Ingĩ ikĩgũa rũnyanjara-inĩ kũrĩa gũtaarĩ na tĩĩri mũingĩ. Nacio ikĩmera o narua tondũ tĩĩri ndwarĩ mũriku.
And some fell vpon stony grounde, where they had not much earth, and anon they sprong vp, because they had no depth of earth.
6 Na hĩndĩ ĩrĩa riũa rĩarire, rĩgĩcina mĩmera ĩyo, nayo ĩkĩũma tondũ ndĩarĩ na mĩri.
And when the sunne was vp, they were parched, and for lacke of rooting, withered away.
7 Na mbeũ ingĩ ikĩgũa mĩigua-inĩ, nayo mĩigua ĩgĩkũra, ĩgĩthararia mbeũ icio rĩrĩa ciamerire.
And some fell among thornes, and the thornes sprong vp, and choked them.
8 Ingĩ nacio ikĩgũa tĩĩri-inĩ ũrĩa mũnoru, ikĩgĩa na maciaro imwe ĩgĩciara maita igana, iria ingĩ igĩciara maita mĩrongo ĩtandatũ, na iria ingĩ igĩciara maita mĩrongo ĩtatũ ma iria ciahaandirwo.
Some againe fel in good ground, and brought forth fruite, one corne an hundreth folde, some sixtie folde, and another thirtie folde.
9 Ũrĩa ũrĩ na matũ ma kũigua, nĩaigue.”
He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
10 Nao arutwo ake magĩũka kũrĩ we, makĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Waragĩria andũ na ngerekano nĩkĩ?”
Then the disciples came, and said to him, Why speakest thou to them in parables?
11 Nake akĩmacookeria atĩrĩ, “Inyuĩ nĩmũheetwo ũmenyo wa kũmenya hitho cia ũthamaki wa igũrũ, no-o matiheetwo.
And he answered, and said vnto them, Because it is giuen vnto you, to know the secretes of the kingdome of heauen, but to the it is not giue.
12 Ũrĩa wothe ũrĩ na indo nĩakoongererwo nyingĩ aingĩhie makĩria. Nake ũrĩa wothe ũtarĩ, nĩagatuunywo o na kĩrĩa arĩ nakĩo.
For whosoeuer hath, to him shalbe giuen, and he shall haue abundance: but whosoeuer hath not, from him shalbe taken away, euen that he hath.
13 Gĩkĩ nĩkĩo gĩtũmaga ndĩmaarĩrie na ngerekano: “Nĩ ũndũ o na gũkorwo nĩmoonaga-rĩ, mationaga; o na gũkorwo nĩmaiguaga-rĩ, matiiguaga kana makamenya.
Therefore speake I to them in parables, because they seeing, doe not see: and hearing, they heare not, neither vnderstand.
14 Nĩo makinyĩirwo nĩ ũhoro ũrĩa warathirwo nĩ mũnabii Isaia, rĩrĩa oigire atĩrĩ: “‘Kũigua mũgũtũũra mũiguaga, no mũtikaamenya ũndũ; kuona mũgũtũũra muonaga, no mũtigakuũkĩrwo.
So in them is fulfilled the prophecie of Esaias, which prophecie saieth, By hearing, ye shall heare, and shall not vnderstand, and seeing, ye shall see, and shall not perceiue.
15 “‘Nĩgũkorwo ngoro cia andũ aya nĩ ngingitaru; matũ mao matiiguaga, na nĩmahingĩte maitho mao. Tondũ maahota kuona na maitho mao, na maigue na matũ mao, o na ngoro ciao igĩe na ũmenyo, manjookerere, na niĩ ndĩmahonie.’
For this peoples heart is waxed fat, and their eares are dull of hearing, and with their eyes they haue winked, lest they should see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and should vnderstand with their hearts, and should returne, that I might heale them.
16 No kũrathimwo nĩ maitho manyu tondũ nĩmoonaga, na matũ manyu tondũ nĩmaiguaga.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your eares, for they heare.
For verely I say vnto you, that many Prophets, and righteous men haue desired to see those things which ye see, and haue not seene them, and to heare those things which ye heare, and haue not heard them.
18 “Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, ta iguai ngĩtaarĩria ũhoro wa ngerekano ĩyo ya mũhuri wa mbeũ:
Heare ye therefore ye parable of ye sower.
19 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa mũndũ o wothe aigua ndũmĩrĩri ya ũthamaki na akaaga kũmĩmenya-rĩ, hĩndĩ ĩyo ũrĩa mũũru okaga akamũtunya kĩrĩa kĩhaande ngoro-inĩ yake. Ĩno nĩyo mbeũ ĩrĩa yahurirwo mũkĩra-inĩ wa njĩra.
Whensoeuer any man heareth the woorde of that kingdome, and vnderstandeth it not, that euil one commeth, and catcheth away that which was sowen in his heart: and this is he which hath receiued the seede by the way side.
20 Ũrĩa wamũkĩrire mbeũ ĩrĩa yagũire rũnyanjara-inĩ nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũiguaga kiugo, na o rĩmwe agakĩamũkĩra arĩ na gĩkeno.
And hee that receiued seede in the stonie grounde, is he which heareth the woorde, and incontinently with ioy receiueth it,
21 No tondũ ndarĩ mĩri-rĩ, aikaraga o kahinda kanini. Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa thĩĩna woka, kana kwagĩa na kĩnyariirano nĩ ũndũ wa kiugo-rĩ, agagĩtiganĩria o narua.
Yet hath he no roote in himselfe, and dureth but a season: for assoone as tribulation or persecution commeth because of the woorde, by and by he is offended.
22 Nake ũrĩa wamũkagĩra mbeũ ĩrĩa yagũire mĩigua-inĩ-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũiguaga kiugo, no mĩhangʼo ya mũtũũrĩre ũyũ, na kũheenererio nĩ ũtonga, igagĩthararia, ikagiria kĩgĩe na maciaro. (aiōn )
And hee that receiued the seede among thornes, is hee that heareth the woorde: but the care of this worlde, and the deceitfulnesse of riches choke the word, and he is made vnfruitfull. (aiōn )
23 No ũrĩa wamũkĩrire mbeũ ĩrĩa yagũire tĩĩri-inĩ ũrĩa mũnoru-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũiguaga kiugo, na agakĩmenya. Nake agaciara maciaro, ũmwe akaruta maita igana, ũngĩ maita mĩrongo ĩtandatũ, na ũngĩ maita mĩrongo ĩtatũ ma mbeũ ĩrĩa yahaandĩtwo.”
But he that receiued the seede in the good ground, is he that heareth the worde, and vnderstandeth it, which also beareth fruite, and bringeth foorth, some an hundreth folde, some sixtie folde, and some thirtie folde.
24 Ningĩ Jesũ akĩmahe ngerekano ĩngĩ, akĩmeera atĩrĩ: “Ũthamaki wa igũrũ ũhaana ta mũndũ ũrĩa wahaandire mbeũ njega mũgũnda wake.
Another parable put hee foorth vnto them, saying, The kingdome of heauen is like vnto a man which sowed good seede in his fielde.
25 No rĩrĩa andũ othe maakomete-rĩ, thũ yake ĩgĩũka, ĩkĩhura itindiĩ thĩinĩ wa ngano, na ĩgĩĩthiĩra.
But while men slept, there came his enemie, and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his waie.
26 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ngano yamerire na igĩciara-rĩ, hĩndĩ ĩyo itindiĩ o narĩo rĩkĩonekana.
And when the blade was sprong vp, and brought forth fruite, then appeared the tares also.
27 “Ndungata cia mwene mũgũnda igĩũka kũrĩ we, ikĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, ‘Mwathi witũ, githĩ ndwahaandire mbeũ njega mũgũnda waku? Kaĩ itindiĩ rĩkiumĩte kũ?’
Then came the seruaunts of the housholder, and sayd vnto him, Master, sowedst not thou good seede in thy fielde? from whence then hath it tares?
28 “Agĩcookia atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩ mũndũ ũrĩ ũthũ na niĩ wekire ũguo.’ “Ndungata icio ikĩmũũria atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩũkwenda tũthiĩ, tũkarĩmunye?’
And hee said to them, Some enuious man hath done this. Then the seruants saide vnto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them vp?
29 “Nake agĩcookia atĩrĩ, ‘Aca, tondũ mũkĩmunya itindiĩ rĩu, mwahota kũrĩmunyanĩria na ngano.
But he saide, Nay, lest while yee goe about to gather the tares, yee plucke vp also with them the wheat.
30 Rekei ikũranĩre nginya hĩndĩ ya magetha. Hĩndĩ ĩyo-rĩ, nĩngeera agethi atĩrĩ: Ambai mũmunye itindiĩ na mũrĩohe itĩĩa, nĩguo rĩcinwo; mũcooke mũcookanĩrĩrie ngano, mũmĩige ikũmbĩ rĩakwa.’”
Let both growe together vntill the haruest, and in time of haruest I will say to the reapers, Gather yee first the tares, and binde them in sheaues to burne them: but gather the wheate into my barne.
31 Nĩamaheire ngerekano ĩngĩ, akĩmeera atĩrĩ: “Ũthamaki wa igũrũ ũtariĩ ta mbeũ ya karatarĩ, ĩrĩa mũndũ oire akĩhaanda mũgũnda wake.
Another parable he put foorth vnto them, saying, The kingdome of heauen is like vnto a graine of mustard seede, which a man taketh and soweth in his fielde:
32 O na akorwo mbeũ ĩyo nĩyo nini mũno kũrĩ mbeũ ciothe-rĩ, rĩrĩa yakũra, nĩĩnenehaga kũrĩ mĩmera ĩrĩa ĩngĩ ya mũgũnda na ĩgatuĩka mũtĩ, nacio nyoni cia rĩera-inĩ igooka igaaka itara honge-inĩ ciaguo.”
Which in deede is the least of all seedes: but when it is growen, it is the greatest among herbes, and it is a tree, so that the birdes of heauen come and builde in the branches thereof.
33 Agĩcooka akĩmahe ngerekano o ĩngĩ, akĩmeera atĩrĩ: “Ũthamaki wa igũrũ ũhaana ta ndawa ya kũimbia mĩgate ĩrĩa mũndũ-wa-nja oire na akĩmĩtukania na mũtu mũingĩ o nginya mũtu ũcio wothe ũkĩimbio nĩyo.”
Another parable spake hee to them, The kingdome of heauen is like vnto leauen, which a woman taketh and hideth in three pecks of meale, till all be leauened.
34 Jesũ aaragĩria kĩrĩndĩ maũndũ macio mothe na ngerekano na ndaamaragĩria ũndũ o na ũmwe atekũhũthĩra ngerekano.
All these thinges spake Iesus vnto the multitude in parables, and without parables spake he not to them,
35 Nĩguo ũhoro ũrĩa waaririo na kanua ka mũnabii ũhinge rĩrĩa oigire atĩrĩ: “Ngaatumũra kanua gakwa njarie na ngerekano, nĩngaaria maũndũ marĩa matũire marĩ mahithe kuuma rĩrĩa thĩ yombirwo.”
That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables, and will vtter the thinges which haue beene kept secrete from the foundation of the worlde.
36 Hĩndĩ ĩyo agĩtiga kĩrĩndĩ, agĩtoonya nyũmba. Arutwo ake magĩũka kũrĩ we, makĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Tũtaarĩrie ngerekano ya itindiĩ rĩrĩa rĩarĩ thĩinĩ wa mũgũnda.”
Then sent Iesus the multitude away, and went into the house. And his disciples came vnto him, saying, Declare vnto vs the parable of the tares of that fielde.
37 Nake akĩmacookeria atĩrĩ, “Ũrĩa wahaandire mbeũ njega nĩ Mũrũ wa Mũndũ.
Then answered he, and saide to them, He that soweth the good seede, is the Sonne of man.
38 Mũgũnda nĩ thĩ, nayo mbeũ njega nĩcio ciana cia ũthamaki. Itindiĩ nĩ ciana cia ũrĩa mũũru,
And the field is the worlde, and the good seede are the children of the kingdome, and the tares are the children of that wicked one.
39 nayo thũ ĩrĩa ĩrĩhaandaga nĩ ũrĩa mũũru. Magetha nĩ ithirĩro rĩa mahinda maya, na agethi nĩ araika. (aiōn )
And the enemie that soweth them, is the deuill, and the haruest is the end of the worlde, and the reapers be the Angels. (aiōn )
40 “Nĩ ũndũ ũcio o ta ũrĩa itindiĩ rĩmunyagwo rĩgacinwo na mwaki-rĩ, ũguo noguo gũkahaana hĩndĩ ya ithirĩro rĩa mahinda maya. (aiōn )
As then the tares are gathered and burned in ye fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. (aiōn )
41 Mũrũ wa Mũndũ nĩagatũma araika ake, na nĩmakeheria maũndũ mothe marĩa marehaga mehia na andũ arĩa othe mekaga ũũru ũthamaki-inĩ wake.
The Sonne of man shall send forth his Angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which doe iniquitie,
42 Nĩmakamaikia thĩinĩ wa icua rĩa mwaki, kũrĩa gũgaakorwo kĩrĩro na kũhagarania magego.
And shall cast them into a fornace of fire. There shalbe wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Hĩndĩ ĩyo arĩa athingu magaakenga ta riũa thĩinĩ wa ũthamaki wa Ithe wao. Ũrĩa ũrĩ na matũ nĩ aigue.
Then shall the iust men shine as ye sunne in the kingdome of their Father. Hee that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
Againe, the kingdom of heauen is like vnto a treasure hid in ye field, which when a man hath found, he hideth it, and for ioy thereof departeth and selleth all that he hath, and buieth that field.
45 “Ningĩ ũthamaki wa igũrũ ũhaanaine na mwonjorithia wacaragia ruru njega.
Againe, the kingdome of heauen is like to a marchant man, that seeketh good pearles,
46 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa oonire ĩmwe ya thogora mũnene-rĩ, agĩthiĩ akĩendia indo ciake ciothe iria aarĩ nacio, akĩmĩgũra.
Who hauing found a pearle of great price, went and solde all that he had, and bought it.
47 “O rĩngĩ, ũthamaki wa igũrũ ũhaanaine na neti ĩrĩa yaikirio iria-inĩ, nayo ĩgĩtega thamaki cia mĩthemba yothe.
Againe, the kingdom of heauen is like vnto a drawe net cast into the sea, that gathereth of all kindes of things.
48 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa yaiyũrire, ategi acio a thamaki makĩmĩguucia hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia iria. Hĩndĩ ĩyo magĩikara thĩ, magĩthuura thamaki iria njega, magĩciĩkĩra ikabũ-inĩ, no iria njũru magĩcite.
Which, when it is full, men draw to lande, and sit and gather the good into vessels, and cast the bad away.
49 Ũguo nĩguo gũgaakorwo hĩndĩ ya ithirĩro rĩa mahinda maya. Araika nĩmagooka maamũranie arĩa aaganu kuuma kũrĩ arĩa athingu, (aiōn )
So shall it be at the end of the world. The Angels shall goe foorth, and seuer the bad from among the iust, (aiōn )
50 na maikie arĩa aaganu icua-inĩ rĩa mwaki, kũrĩa gũgaakorwo na kĩrĩro na kũhagarania magego.”
And shall cast them into a fornace of fire: there shalbe wailing, and gnashing of teeth.
51 Jesũ akĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Nĩmwataũkĩrwo nĩ maũndũ macio mothe?” Magĩcookia atĩrĩ, “Ĩĩ, nĩtwataũkĩrwo.”
Iesus saide vnto them, Vnderstand yee all these things? They saide vnto him, Yea, Lord.
Then sayd hee vnto them, Therefore euery Scribe which is taught vnto the kingdome of heauen, is like vnto an householder, which bringeth foorth out of his treasure things both newe and olde.
53 Nake Jesũ aarĩkia kũheana ngerekano icio-rĩ, akiuma kũu.
And it came to passe, that when Iesus had ended these parables, he departed thence,
54 Aakinya itũũra rĩa kwao-rĩ, akĩambĩrĩria kũrutana thunagogi-inĩ ciao, nao makĩgega. Makĩũrania atĩrĩ, “Mũndũ ũyũ arutĩte kũ ũũgĩ ũyũ na ciĩko ici cia hinya?
And came into his owne countrey, and taught them in their Synagogue, so that they were astonied, and saide, Whence commeth this wisdome and great woorkes vnto this man?
55 Githĩ ũyũ ti we mũrũ wa mũtharamara? Githĩ rĩĩtwa rĩa nyina ti Mariamu, na githĩ ariũ a nyina ti Jakubu, na Jusufu, na Simoni, na Juda?
Is not this the carpenters sonne? Is not his mother called Marie, and his brethren Iames and Ioses, and Simon and Iudas?
56 Na githĩ aarĩ a nyina othe tũtirĩ nao? Mũndũ ũyũ akĩrutĩte maũndũ maya mothe kũ?”
And are not his sisters all with vs? Whence then hath he all these things?
57 Nao makĩmũrega. No Jesũ akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Kũndũ mũnabii ataheagwo gĩtĩĩo no itũũra-inĩ rĩake na gwake mũciĩ.”
And they were offended with him. Then Iesus said to them, A Prophet is not without honour, saue in his owne countrey, and in his owne house.
58 Nake ndaaringire ciama nyingĩ kũu, tondũ wa ũrĩa maagĩte gwĩtĩkia.
And he did not many great woorkes there, for their vnbeliefes sake.
