< Luka 20 >

1 Na rĩrĩ, mũthenya ũmwe akĩruta andũ kũu hekarũ-inĩ na akĩhunjagia Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega-rĩ, athĩnjĩri-Ngai arĩa anene, na arutani a watho, hamwe na athuuri magĩũka kũrĩ we.
And it came to pass on one of the days (of those *k*) when is teaching He the people in the temple and evangelising came up the (chief priests *NK(o)*) and the scribes with the elders
2 Makĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Twĩre wĩkaga maũndũ maya na ũhoti ũrĩkũ. Nũũ wakũheire ũhoti ũcio?”
and spoke saying to Him: do tell us by what authority these things You do or who is the [one] having given to You authority this?
3 Nake akĩmacookeria atĩrĩ, “O na niĩ nĩngũmũũria kĩũria.
Answering now He said to them; Will ask you I myself also I myself also (one *k*) thing, and do tell Me:
4 Ta njĩĩrai, ũbatithio wa Johana-rĩ, woimĩte igũrũ kana woimire kũrĩ andũ?”
The baptism of John from heaven was it or from men?
5 Makĩaranĩria o ene ũhoro ũcio, makĩĩrana atĩrĩ, “Tũngiuga atĩ ‘Woimĩte igũrũ’ egũtũũria atĩrĩ, ‘Mwakĩregire kũmwĩtĩkia nĩkĩ?’
And they reasoned among themselves saying that If we shall say: From heaven, He will say; Because of why (therefore *K*) not did you believe in him?
6 Ningĩ tuoiga atĩ ‘Woimĩte kũrĩ andũ’, andũ othe nĩmegũtũhũũra na mahiga nyuguto, nĩ ũndũ nĩmetĩkĩtie atĩ Johana aarĩ mũnabii.”
If however we shall say; From men, the people (all *N(k)O*) will stone us; persuaded for they are John a prophet to be.
7 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio magĩcookeria Jesũ atĩrĩ, “Ithuĩ tũtiũĩ woimĩte kũ.”
And they answered not to know from where.
8 Nake Jesũ akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “O na niĩ ndikũmwĩra njĩkaga maũndũ maya na ũhoti ũrĩkũ.”
And Jesus said to them; Neither I myself tell you by what authority these things I am doing.
9 Agĩcooka akĩhe andũ ũhoro na ngerekano akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Mũndũ ũmwe nĩahaandire mũgũnda wake mĩthabibũ, na akĩũkomborithia arĩmi angĩ, agĩcooka agĩthiĩ kũndũ kũraya na agĩikara kuo ihinda iraaya.
He began then to the people to speak parable this: A man (certain *NK*) planted a vineyard and rented it to farmers and went abroad a time long.
And (in *k*) [in the] season he sent to the farmers a servant that from the fruit of the vineyard (they will give *N(k)O*) to him; But the farmers sent away him having beaten [him] empty-handed.
11 Agĩcooka agĩtũma ndungata ĩngĩ, ĩyo o nayo makĩmĩhũũra makĩmĩconorithia na makĩmĩingata ĩtarĩ na kĩndũ.
And he proceeded another to send a servant; but him him having beaten and having dishonored they sent away empty-handed.
And he proceeded a third to send; They then also him having wounded they cast out.
13 “Nake mwene mũgũnda ũcio wa mĩthabibũ akĩĩyũria atĩrĩ, ‘Ngwĩka atĩa? Ngũtũma mũrũ wakwa, ũrĩa nyendete; hihi mahota kũmũhe gĩtĩĩo’.
Said then the master of the vineyard; What shall I do? I will send the son of mine the beloved; perhaps him (having seen *K*) they will respect.
14 “No rĩrĩa akombori acio maamuonire, makĩarĩrĩria ũhoro ũcio. Makĩĩrana atĩrĩ, ‘Ũyũ nĩwe ũkaagaya mũgũnda ũyũ. Nĩtũmũũragei nĩguo igai rĩake rĩtuĩke riitũ.’
Having seen now him the farmers were reasoning among (one another *N(k)O*) saying; This is the heir; (come *K*) let us kill him so that ours may become the inheritance.
And having cast forth him outside the vineyard they killed [him]. What therefore will do to them the master of the vineyard?
16 Agooka oorage akombori acio, acooke ahe andũ angĩ mũgũnda ũcio.” Rĩrĩa andũ maiguire ũguo, makiuga atĩrĩ, “Kũroaga gũtuĩka ũguo!”
He will come and he will destroy farmers these and will give the vineyard to others. Having heard [it] then they said; Never would it be!
17 Jesũ akĩmarora, akĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Maandĩko marĩa mandĩkĩtwo atĩrĩ: “‘Ihiga rĩrĩa aaki maaregire, nĩrĩo rĩtuĩkĩte ihiga inene rĩa koine’, ũguo nĩ kuuga atĩa?
But having looked at them He said; What then is that written this: [The] stone which rejected those building, this has become into [the] head of [the] corner’?
18 Mũndũ ũrĩa wothe ũkaagwĩra ihiga rĩu, nĩrĩkamuunanga, no ũrĩa rĩkaagwĩra nĩrĩkamũhehenja.”
Everyone falling on that [very] stone will be broken; on whomever but maybe it may fall, it will grind into powder him.
19 Arutani a watho na athĩnjĩri-Ngai arĩa anene magĩcaria ũrĩa mangĩmũnyiitithia o na ihenya tondũ nĩmamenyire aaheanire ngerekano ĩyo akĩaria ũhoro wao. No nĩmetigagĩra andũ.
And sought the scribes and the chief priests to lay on Him hands in that hour and they feared the people; they perceived for that against them He was speaking parable this.
20 O makĩmũtuĩragia-rĩ, makĩmũtũmĩra andũ a kũmũthigaana metuĩte andũ ega. Nao magĩthiĩ nĩgeetha mamũnyiite akiuga ũndũ mũũru, nĩguo mamũneane moko-inĩ ma wathani wa barũthi.
And having watched [Him] they sent spies feigning themselves righteous to be, that they may catch Him in talk, (in order *N(k)O*) to deliver Him to the rule and to the authority of the governor.
21 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio athigaani acio makĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Mũrutani, nĩtũũĩ wee waragia na ũkarutana maũndũ marĩa magĩrĩire, na atĩ ndũtĩagĩra andũ maũthĩ, no wee ũrutanaga ũhoro wa Ngai na ma, ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire.
And they questioned Him saying; Teacher, we know that rightly You speak and You teach and not You receive [any] person but on the basis of truth the way of God teach.
22 Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩtwagĩrĩirwo nĩ kũrutĩra Kaisari igooti kana ca?”
Is it lawful (for us *N(k)O*) to Caesar tribute to give or not?
23 Nowe Jesũ akĩona ũhinga ũrĩa maarĩ naguo akĩmeera atĩrĩ,
having perceived however of them the craftiness He said to them (why *KO*) (me do you test; *K*)
24 “Ta nyoniai mbeeca cianyu. Mbica ĩno na rĩĩtwa rĩĩrĩ nĩ cia ũ?”
(do show *N(k)O*) Me a denarius; Of whom has it [the] image and inscription? (Those *N(K)O*) And they said; Caesar’s.
25 Makĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Nĩ cia Kaisari.” Akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Kĩrutagĩrei Kaisari kĩrĩa kĩrĩ gĩake, na mũrutagĩre Ngai kĩrĩa kĩrĩ gĩake.”
And He said (to *no*) (them; *N(k)O*) Therefore do give back the [things] of Caesar to Caesar and the [things] of God to God.
And not they were able to catch Him in (His *NK(o)*) declaration before the people, and having marveled at the answer of Him they became silent.
27 Na rĩrĩ, andũ amwe a Asadukai, arĩa moigaga atĩ gũtirĩ ũhoro wa kũriũka, magĩũka kũrĩ Jesũ, makĩmũũria atĩrĩ,
Having approached then some of the Sadducees, the ones (denying *NK(o)*) a resurrection not being, they questioned Him
28 “Mũrutani, Musa aatwandĩkĩire atĩ mũrũ wa nyina na mũndũ angĩkua atige mũtumia atarĩ na ciana-rĩ, mũndũ ũcio no nginya ahikie mũtumia ũcio watigwo nĩguo aciarĩre mũrũ wa nyina ciana.
saying; Teacher, Moses wrote to us: if anyone’s brother shall die having a wife and he childless (shall be, *N(K)O*) that shall take the brother of him the wife and shall raise up seed to the brother of him.
29 Na rĩrĩ, kwarĩ aanake mũgwanja a nyina ũmwe.
Seven therefore brothers there were; and the first having taken a wife died childless,
30 Nake wa keerĩ,
and (took *K*) the second (wife and this died childless *K*)
and the third took her (likewise *o*) likewise then also the seven not did leave children and died.
32 Marigĩrĩrio-inĩ, mũtumia ũcio o nake agĩkua.
Finally (now of all *K*) also the woman died.
33 Rĩu-rĩ, hĩndĩ ya kũriũka agaakorwo arĩ mũtumia wa ũ harĩ acio mũgwanja, nĩgũkorwo othe nĩmamũhikĩtie?”
(The woman *no*) therefore in the resurrection, of which of them does she become wife? For the seven had her as wife.
34 Jesũ akĩmacookeria atĩrĩ, “Andũ a ihinda rĩĩrĩ nĩo mahikaga na makahikania. (aiōn g165)
And (answering *k*) said to them Jesus; The sons of the age this marry and (are given in marriage, *N(k)O*) (aiōn g165)
35 No rĩrĩ, arĩa magaatuuo aagĩrĩru a gũkinya ihinda rĩu o na gũkinyanĩrio ihinda rĩa kũriũka kwa arĩa akuũ-rĩ, acio matikahikanagia o na kana mahikanagie. (aiōn g165)
those however having been considered worthy of the age that [one] to obtain and of the resurrection from [the] dead neither marry nor (are given in marriage; *N(k)(o)*) (aiōn g165)
36 Andũ acio matigacooka gũkua; nĩgũkorwo makahaana ta araika. Andũ acio magakorwo marĩ ciana cia Ngai, nĩgũkorwo nĩ ciana cia ũhoro ũcio wa kũriũka.
(neither *N(k)O*) for to die any more are they able, like [the] angels for they are, and sons they are (*k*) of God of the resurrection sons being.
for however are raised the dead, even Moses showed at the bush when he names [the] Lord the God of Abraham and (the *k*) God of Isaac and (the *k*) God of Jacob.’
38 We ti Ngai wa arĩa akuũ, no nĩ wa arĩa marĩ muoyo, nĩgũkorwo harĩ we andũ othe arĩa marĩ muoyo matũũragio nĩwe.”
God now not He is of [the] dead but of [the] living; all for to Him live.
39 Nao andũ amwe a arutani a watho makĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Mũrutani, nĩwoiga wega!”
Answering now some of the scribes said; Teacher, well you have spoken.
40 Na gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũmwe wageririe kũmũũria ciũria ingĩ.
no longer no longer (then *N(k)O*) were they daring to ask Him no [thing].
41 Jesũ agĩcooka akĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Andũ moigaga Kristũ nĩ mũriũ wa Daudi nĩ ũndũ wa kĩĩ?
He said then to them; How do they declare the Christ to be David's Son
42 Daudi we mwene nĩoigĩte ibuku-inĩ rĩa Thaburi atĩrĩ: “‘Mwathani nĩerire Mwathani wakwa atĩrĩ: “Ikara guoko-inĩ gwakwa kwa ũrĩo,
(and *ko*) Himself (for *no*) David says in [the] book of Psalms: Said (the *ko*) Lord to the Lord of me; do sit at [the] right hand of Me
43 nginya ngaatũma thũ ciaku ituĩke gaturwa ka makinya maku.”’
until when I may place the enemies of You [as] a footstool of the feet of You.
44 Atĩrĩrĩ, Daudi aamwĩtire ‘Mwathani’. Angĩgĩcooka gũtuĩka mũriũ wake atĩa?”
David therefore Lord Him calls, and how of him son is He?
45 O andũ acio othe mathikĩrĩirie, Jesũ akĩĩra arutwo ake atĩrĩ,
When are listening now all the people He said to the disciples of Him;
46 “Mwĩmenyererei arutani a watho. O mendaga gũthiĩ mehumbĩte nguo ndaaya, na makenda kũgeithagio ndũnyũ-inĩ, na gũikaragĩra itĩ iria cia bata thunagogi-inĩ, o na gũikara handũ ha andũ arĩa atĩĩku maruga-inĩ.
do beware of the scribes who are desiring to walk in long robes and loving greetings in the marketplaces and first seats in the synagogues and first places in the banquets,
47 No nĩo matoonyagĩrĩra atumia a ndigwa makamatunya nyũmba ciao, na nĩguo meyonanie, makahooya mahooya maraihu. Andũ ta acio nĩmakaherithio mũno makĩria.”
who devour the houses of widows and as a pretext at great length pray; These will receive more excessive condemnation.
