1 “‘Iruta rĩa mũndũ rĩngĩkorwo nĩ iruta rĩa ũiguano-rĩ, nake arute nyamũ rũũru-inĩ rwa ngʼombe, ĩrĩ ya njamba kana ya nga, nĩakĩnengere Jehova nyamũ ĩtarĩ na kaũũgũ.
[“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
2 Mũndũ ũcio nĩaigĩrĩre guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wa nyamũ ĩyo ya iruta rĩake, na acooke amĩthĩnjĩre hau mũromo-inĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo. Nao ariũ a Harũni, athĩnjĩri-Ngai, nĩmakaminjaminjĩria kĩgongona thakame yayo mĩena yothe.
You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
3 Kuuma iruta-inĩ rĩu rĩa ũiguano, nĩakarutĩra Jehova nyama imwe cia gũcinwo na mwaki: nacio nĩ rũambũ rũrĩa ruothe rũhumbĩire nyama cia nda na rũrĩa rũnyiitaine nacio,
From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
4 higo cierĩ hamwe na maguta marĩa macihumbĩire hakuhĩ na honge, na maguta marĩa mahumbĩire ini, amarutanĩrie na higo icio.
the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
5 Nao ariũ a Harũni macicinĩre kĩgongona-inĩ igũrũ, ciigĩrĩirwo igũrũ rĩa iruta rĩu rĩa njino rĩrĩa narĩo rĩigĩrĩirwo igũrũ rĩa ngũ irakana, rĩrĩ iruta rĩa gũcinwo na mwaki, rĩrĩ na mũtararĩko mwega wa gũkenia Jehova.
Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
6 “‘Mũndũ angĩkaaruta nyamũ rũũru-inĩ rwa mbũri, ĩrĩ ya kũrutĩra Jehova iruta rĩa ũiguano, nĩakaruta ndũrũme kana mwatĩ itarĩ na kaũũgũ.
If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
7 Angĩkaaruta gatũrũme-rĩ, nĩagakaneana mbere ya Jehova.
If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].
8 Nĩakaigĩrĩra guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wa nyamũ ĩyo ya iruta rĩake, na acooke amĩthĩnjĩre mbere ya Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo. Nao ariũ a Harũni moe thakame yako mamĩminjaminjĩrie kĩgongona kĩu mĩena yothe.
Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.
9 Kuuma harĩ iruta rĩu rĩa ũiguano, nĩakarutĩra Jehova nyama imwe cia gũcinwo na mwaki: nacio nĩ maguta mako, na mũtingʼoe wothe ũrĩa mũnoru ũtinĩirio gĩtina-inĩ kĩa rũcuthĩ, na maguta ma rũambũ mothe marĩa mahumbĩire nyama cia nda, na marĩa manyiitaine nacio,
You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
10 higo cierĩ hamwe na maguta marĩa macihumbĩire hakuhĩ na honge, na marĩa mahumbĩire ini, amarutanĩrie na higo icio.

11 Nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩagacicinĩra kĩgongona-inĩ irĩ irio, rĩĩrĩ nĩ iruta rĩrutĩirwo Jehova rĩa gũcinwo na mwaki.
One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
12 “‘Na angĩkorwo iruta rĩake nĩ mbũri, nĩamĩneane mbere ya Jehova.
‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
13 Nĩaigĩrĩre guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa mũtwe wayo, na acooke amĩthĩnjĩre mbere ya Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo. Nao ariũ a Harũni moe thakame yayo, mamĩminjaminjĩrie kĩgongona mĩena yothe.
You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
14 Kuuma harĩ kĩrĩa akaaheana, nĩakarutĩra Jehova iruta rĩa gũcinwo na mwaki: na nĩ maguta mothe ma rũambũ marĩa mahumbĩrĩte nyama ciothe cia nda na marĩa manyiitaine nacio,
From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,

16 Nake mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai nĩagacicinĩra kĩgongona-inĩ irĩ irio, rĩĩrĩ nĩ iruta rĩa gũcinwo na mwaki, rĩrĩ na mũtararĩko mwega. Maguta mothe nĩ ma Jehova.
The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
17 “‘Ũndũ ũyũ ũgaatuĩka watho wa gũtũũra ũrũmagĩrĩrwo nĩ njiaro iria igooka, kũrĩa guothe mũgaatũũra: Mũtikanarĩe maguta kana thakame.’”
‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
