Alawii 20
1 Ningĩ Jehova akĩĩra Musa atĩrĩ,
And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
2 “Ĩra andũ a Isiraeli atĩrĩ: ‘Mũisiraeli o wothe kana mũgeni o wothe ũrĩa ũtũũraga bũrũri wa Isiraeli ũkaaheana ũmwe wa ciana ciake kũrĩ ngai ĩrĩa ĩtagwo Moleku, no nginya akooragwo. Mũingĩ wothe nĩ ũkaamũhũũra na mahiga nyuguto.
Thou shalt say also to the children of Israel, Whosoeuer he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that dwell in Israel, that giueth his children vnto Molech, he shall die the death, ye people of ye land shall stone him to death.
3 Nĩngahũgũkĩra mũndũ ũcio, na nĩngamũingata kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao; tondũ wa kũheana ciana ciake kũrĩ Moleku, nĩathaahĩtie handũ hakwa harĩa haamũre na agathaahia rĩĩtwa rĩakwa itheru.
And I will set my face against that man and cut him off from among his people, because he hath giuen his children vnto Molech, for to defile my Sanctuarie, and to pollute mine holy Name.
4 Mũingĩ ũcio wa andũ ũngĩkaaga kũherithia mũndũ ũcio ũheanĩte ũmwe wa ciana ciake kũrĩ Moleku, mage kũmũũraga-rĩ,
And if the people of the lande hide their eyes, and winke at that man when he giueth his children vnto Molech, and kill him not,
5 nĩngahũgũkĩra mũndũ ũcio, hamwe na andũ a nyũmba yake, na ndĩmaingate kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao, we mwene na arĩa othe mamũrũmagĩrĩra na kũhũũra ũmaraya na Moleku.
Then will I set my face against that man, and against his familie, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him to comit whoredome with Molech, from among their people.
6 “‘Nĩngahũgũkĩra mũndũ ũrĩa ũtuĩragia maũndũ kuuma kũrĩ andũ arĩa marĩ na maroho ma kũragũra na kuuma kũrĩ arogi, nĩguo ahũũre ũmaraya na ũndũ wa kũmarũmĩrĩra, na nĩngamũingata kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao.
If any turne after such as worke with spirits, and after soothsayers, to go a whoring after them, then will I set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.
7 “‘Mwĩyamũrei mũtuĩke atheru tondũ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova Ngai wanyu.
Sanctifie your selues therefore, and be holie, for I am the Lord your God.
8 Rũmagiai irĩra ciakwa cia watho na mũcirũmagĩrĩre. Niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova, ũrĩa ũmũtheragia.
Keepe ye therefore mine ordinances, and doe them. I am the Lord which doeth sanctifie you.
9 “‘Mũndũ o wothe ũngĩruma ithe kana arume nyina, no nginya ooragwo. Nĩarumĩte ithe kana akaruma nyina, na thakame yake nĩĩkamũcookerera.
If there be any that curseth his father or his mother, he shall die the death: seeing hee hath cursed his father and his mother, his blood shalbe vpon him.
10 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩtharia na mũtumia wa mũndũ ũngĩ, atharie na mũtumia wa mũndũ wa itũũra rĩake, itharia icio cierĩ, mũndũ mũrũme ũcio na mũtumia, no nginya mooragwo.
And the man that committeth adulterie with another mans wife, because he hath comitted adulterie with his neighbours wife, the adulterer and the adulteresse shall die the death.
11 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũtumia wa ithe, nĩaconorithĩtie ithe. Mũndũ mũrũme ũcio na mũtumia ũcio eerĩ no nginya mooragwo; thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.
And the man that lyeth with his fathers wife, because hee hath vncouered his fathers shame, they shall both dye: their blood shalbe vpon them.
12 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũtumia wa mũriũ, eerĩ no nginya mooragwo. Ũndũ ũcio mekĩte nĩ waganu ũkĩrĩte njano; thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.
Also the man that lyeth with his daughter in lawe, they both shall dye the death, they haue wrought abomination, their blood shalbe vpon them.
13 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũndũ mũrũme ũngĩ ta ũrĩa mũndũ akomaga na mũndũ-wa-nja-rĩ, andũ acio eerĩ nĩmekĩte ũndũ ũrĩ magigi. No nginya mooragwo; thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.
The man also that lyeth with the male, as one lyeth with a woman, they haue both committed abomination: they shall dye the death, their blood shalbe vpon them.
14 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩhikia mũndũ-wa-nja na ahikie nyina, ũcio nĩ waganu. Mũndũ mũrũme ũcio na andũ-a-nja acio eerĩ no nginya macinwo na mwaki, nĩgeetha gũtikanakorwo na waganu thĩinĩ wanyu.
Likewise he that taketh a wife and her mother, committeth wickednesse: they shall burne him and them with fire, that there be no wickednes among you.
15 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na nyamũ-rĩ, no nginya mũndũ ũcio ooragwo, na no nginya mũũrage nyamũ ĩyo.
Also the man that lyeth with a beast, shall dye the death, and ye shall slay the beast.
16 “‘Mũndũ-wa-nja angĩĩtwarĩrĩra harĩ nyamũ nĩguo akome nayo-rĩ, nĩmũkooraga mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio hamwe na nyamũ ĩyo. No nginya mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio ooragwo na nyamũ ĩyo yũragwo; thakame yake nĩĩkamũcookerera, na thakame ya nyamũ ĩyo ĩmĩcookerere.
And if a woman come to any beast, and lye therewith, then thou shalt kill the woman and the beast: they shall die the death, their blood shalbe vpon them.
17 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩhikia mwarĩ wa ithe, arĩ mwarĩ wa ithe kana wa nyina, na makomanie, icio nĩ njono. No nginya maingatwo mehere kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao. Nĩaconorithĩtie mwarĩ wa ithe. Na nĩagacookererwo nĩ ũũru ũcio ekĩte.
Also the man that taketh his sister, his fathers daughter, or his mothers daughter, and seeth her shame and she seeth his shame, it is villenie: therefore they shall be cut off in the sight of their people, because he hath vncouered his sisters shame, he shall beare his iniquitie.
18 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũndũ-wa-nja hĩndĩ yake ya mweri, nĩaguũria riurĩro rĩake, o nake mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio agakĩguũria riurĩro rĩa thakame yake. Andũ acio eerĩ nĩmakaingatwo kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao.
The man also that lyeth with a woman hauing her disease, and vncouereth her shame, and openeth her fountaine, and she open the foutaine of her blood, they shall bee euen both cut off from among their people.
19 “‘Ndũkanakome na tataguo kana mwarĩ wa nyina na thoguo, nĩ ũndũ gwĩka ũguo nĩ gũconorithia mũndũ ũrĩa mũrĩ rũrĩra; inyuĩ eerĩ nĩmũgacookererwo nĩ ũũru ũcio mwĩkĩte.
Moreouer thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy mothers sister, nor of thy fathers sister: because he hath vncouered his kin, they shall beare their iniquitie.
20 “‘Mũndũ angĩkoma na tatawe-rĩ, nĩaconorithĩtie mamawe. Nĩmagacookererwo nĩ ũũru ũcio mekĩte; magaakua matarĩ magĩa mwana.
Likewise the man that lyeth with his fathers brothers wife, and vncouereth his vncles shame: they shall beare their iniquitie, and shall die childlesse.
21 “‘Mũndũ angĩhikia mũtumia wa mũrũ wa nyina ũcio nĩ thaahu, nĩaconorithĩtie mũrũ wa nyina. Megũtũũra matarĩ magĩa mwana.
So the man that taketh his brothers wife, committeth filthines, because he hath vncouered his brothers shame: they shalbe childles.
22 “‘Rũmagiai irĩra ciakwa ciothe cia watho, na mawatho makwa mũmarũmagĩrĩre, nĩguo mũtũũre bũrũri ũrĩa ndĩramũtwara, na nĩgeetha ndũkanamũtahĩke.
Ye shall keepe therefore all mine ordinances and all my iudgements, and doe them, that the land, whither I bring you to dwel therein, spue you not out.
23 Mũtikanatũũre kũringana na mĩtugo ya ndũrĩrĩ iria ngũingata imweherere. Ndacimenire nĩ tondũ nĩciekire maũndũ macio mothe.
Wherefore ye shall not walke in the maners of this nation which I cast out before you: for they haue committed all these things, therefore I abhorred them.
24 No niĩ ngĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Nĩmũkegwatĩra bũrũri wao; nĩngamũhe guo ũtuĩke igai rĩanyu, bũrũri ũrĩ bũthi wa iria na ũũkĩ.” Niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova Ngai wanyu, ũrĩa wamwamũrire kuuma kũrĩ ndũrĩrĩ.
But I haue saide vnto you, ye shall inherite their land, and I will giue it vnto you to possesse it, euen a land that floweth with milke and honie: I am the Lord your God, which haue separated you from other people.
25 “‘Nĩ ũndũ ũcio no nginya mũkũũranage nyamũ iria itarĩ thaahu na iria irĩ thaahu, na nyoni iria itarĩ thaahu na iria irĩ thaahu. Mũtikanethaahie na nyamũ kana nyoni o na ĩrĩkũ, kana kĩndũ o gĩothe gĩthiiagĩra thĩ, iria ciothe ndaamũranirie tondũ irĩ thaahu harĩ inyuĩ.
Therefore shall ye put difference betweene cleane beastes and vncleane, and betweene vncleane foules and cleane: neither shall ye defile your selues with beastes and foules, nor with any creeping thing, that ye ground bringeth forth, which I haue separated from you as vncleane.
26 No nginya mũtuĩke atheru harĩ niĩ, tondũ niĩ, Jehova, ndĩ mũtheru, na nĩndĩmwamũranĩtie na ndũrĩrĩ iria ingĩ mũtuĩke akwa kĩũmbe.
Therefore shall ye be holie vnto me: for I the Lord am holy, and I haue separated you from other people, that ye shoulde be mine.
27 “‘Mũndũ mũrũme kana mũndũ-wa-nja ũrĩ maroho marĩa maragũraga kana mũrogi thĩinĩ wanyu, no nginya makooragwo. Mũmahũũre na mahiga nyuguto. Thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.’”
And if a man or woman haue a spirite of diuination, or soothsaying in them, they shall die the death: they shall stone them to death, their blood shalbe vpon them.
