1 Na rĩrĩ, mũndũ wetagwo Mika wa kuuma bũrũri ũrĩa ũrĩ irĩma wa Efiraimu
There was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Michah,
2 akĩĩra nyina atĩrĩ, “Cekeri ngiri ĩmwe na igana rĩmwe cia betha iria cioirwo kuuma kũrĩ we, na iria ndaiguire ũkĩrumanĩra kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ niĩ ndĩ nacio; nĩ niĩ ndacioire.” Nake nyina akiuga atĩrĩ, “Mũrũ wakwa, Jehova arokũrathima.”
And he saide vnto his mother, The eleuen hundreth shekels of siluer that were taken from thee, for the which thou cursedst, and spakedst it, euen in mine hearing, beholde, the siluer is with me, I tooke it. Then his mother saide, Blessed be my sonne of the Lord.
3 Rĩrĩa aacookirie cekeri icio ngiri ĩmwe na igana rĩmwe cia betha kũrĩ nyina-rĩ, nyina akiuga atĩrĩ, “Niĩ nĩndamũrĩra Jehova betha yakwa kũna nĩgeetha mũrũ wakwa athondeke mũhianano mũicũhie na mũhianano wa gũtwekio. Nĩngũgũcookeria.”
And when he had restored the eleuen hundreth shekels of siluer to his mother, his mother sayd, I had dedicate the siluer to the Lord of mine hand for my sonne, to make a grauen and molten image. Now therfore I will giue it thee again.
4 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio agĩcookia betha ĩyo kũrĩ nyina, nake nyina akĩoya cekeri magana meerĩ cia betha na agĩcineana kũrĩ mũturi wa betha, ũrĩa wacithondekire mũhianano wa gwacũhio na mũhianano wa gũtwekio. Nayo ikĩigwo thĩinĩ wa nyũmba ya Mika.
And when he had restored the money vnto his mother, his mother tooke two hundreth shekels of siluer, and gaue them to the founder, which made thereof a grauen and molten image, and it was in the house of Michah.
5 Na rĩrĩ, mũndũ ũcio wetagwo Mika nĩ aarĩ na ihooero, nake agĩthondeka ebodi, na mĩhianano ĩmwe ya gũtwekio na agĩtua mũriũ ũmwe wake mũthĩnjĩri-ngai wake.
And this man Michah had an house of gods, and made an Ephod, and Teraphim, and cosecrated one of his sonnes, who was his Priest.
6 Matukũ-inĩ macio Isiraeli gũtiarĩ mũthamaki; o mũndũ ekaga ũrĩa oonaga kwagĩrĩire.
In those dayes there was no King in Israel, but euery man did that which was good in his owne eyes.
7 Mũlawii ũmwe mwanake kuuma itũũra rĩa Bethilehemu ya Juda, watũũraga thĩinĩ wa mũhĩrĩga wa Juda,
There was also a yong man out of Bethlehem Iudah, of the familie of Iudah: who was a Leuite, and soiourned there.
8 akiuma itũũra-inĩ rĩu agĩthiĩ gwetha kũndũ kũngĩ gwa gũtũũra. Arĩ njĩra-inĩ agĩkora nyũmba ya Mika ĩrĩa yarĩ bũrũri-inĩ ũrĩa wa irĩma wa Efiraimu.
And the man departed out of the citie, euen out of Beth-lehem Iudah, to dwell where he coulde finde a place: and as he iourneyed, he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Michah
9 Mika akĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Wee uumĩte kũ?” Nake akĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Niĩ ndĩ Mũlawii kuuma Bethilehemu ya Juda, na ndĩreetha kũndũ gwa gũtũũra.”
And Michah saide vnto him, Whence comest thou? And the Leuite answered him, I come from Beth-lehem Iudah, and goe to dwell where I may finde a place.
10 Nake Mika akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Tũũrania na niĩ ũtuĩke baba na mũthĩnjĩri-ngai wakwa, na nĩndĩrĩkũheaga cekeri ikũmi cia betha o mwaka, na nguo ciaku cia kwĩhumba na irio cia kũrĩa.”
Then Michah said vnto him, Dwell with me, and be vnto me a father and a Priest, and I will giue thee ten shekels of siluer by yeere, and a sute of apparell, and thy meate and drinke. So the Leuite went in.
11 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Mũlawii ũcio agĩĩtĩkĩra gũtũũrania hamwe nake, na mwanake ũcio agĩtuĩka ta ũmwe wa ariũ ake.
And the Leuite was content to dwel with the man, and the yong man was vnto him as one of his owne sonnes.
12 Ningĩ Mika akĩamũra Mũlawii ũcio, nake mwanake ũcio agĩtuĩka mũthĩnjĩri-ngai wake na agĩtũũra gwake mũciĩ.
And Michah consecrated the Leuite, and the yong man was his Priest, and was in the house of Michah.
13 Nake Mika akiuga atĩrĩ, “Rĩu nĩndamenya atĩ Jehova nĩekũnjĩka wega, nĩgũkorwo Mũlawii ũyũ nĩatuĩkĩte mũthĩnjĩri-ngai wakwa.”
Then said Michah, Nowe I know that the Lord will be good vnto me, seeing I haue a Leuite to my Priest.
