Joshua 13
1 Na rĩrĩ, rĩrĩa Joshua aarĩ mũndũ mũkũrũ na mĩaka yake ĩkaingĩha-rĩ, Jehova akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Ũrĩ mũkũrũ mũno, na no gũtigarĩte bũrũri mũnene mũno wa kwĩgwatĩrwo ũtuĩke wanyu.
Now Joshua was old [and] stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old [and] stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2 “Ũyũ nĩguo bũrũri ũrĩa ũtigarĩte: nĩ ngʼongo ciothe cia Afilisti na cia Ageshuru:
This [is] the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
3 kuuma Rũũĩ rwa Shihoru mwena wa irathĩro wa bũrũri wa Misiri, o nginya bũrũri wa Ekironi ũrĩa ũrĩ mwena wa gathigathini, ũrĩa wonagwo ũrĩ bũrũri wa Akaanani (nĩguo bũrũri wa aathani arĩa atano a Afilisti arĩa maathanaga kũu Gaza, na Ashidodi, na Ashikeloni, na Gathu, na Ekironi, nĩguo bũrũri wa Aavimu);
From Sihor, which [is] before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, [which] is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
4 kuuma gũthini, bũrũri wothe wa andũ a Kaanani, kuuma Ara kwa Asidoni gũthiĩ nginya Afeku, rũgongo rwa Aamori,
From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that [is] beside the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:
5 na bũrũri wa a Gebali; na Lebanoni guothe nginya mwena wa irathĩro, kuuma Baali-Gadi mũhuro wa kĩrĩma kĩa Herimoni nginya Lebo-Hamathu.
And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
6 “Andũ othe arĩa matũũraga bũrũri ũrĩa ũrĩ irĩma kuuma Lebanoni nginya Misirefothu-Maimu, na nĩo Asidoni othe, nĩ niĩ ngaamaingata mehere mbere ya andũ a Isiraeli. Nawe ũtigĩrĩre nĩwagaĩra Isiraeli bũrũri ũcio ũtuĩke igai rĩao o ta ũrĩa ngwathĩte,
All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, [and] all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7 na ũũgae ũtuĩke igai harĩ mĩhĩrĩga ĩyo kenda, hamwe na nuthu ya mũhĩrĩga wa Manase.”
Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
8 Nuthu ĩyo ĩngĩ ya andũ a mũhĩrĩga wa Manase, na wa Rubeni na wa Gadi nĩmarĩkĩtie kwamũkĩra igai rĩrĩa Musa aamaheete kũu mwena wa irathĩro rĩa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani, ta ũrĩa we Musa ndungata ya Jehova aamaheete.
With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, [even] as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;
9 Naguo mũhaka ũcio woimĩte Aroeri rũteere-inĩ rwa mũkuru wa Arinoni, na kuuma itũũra rĩrĩa rĩarĩ gatagatĩ ka mũkuru ũcio, hamwe na werũ ũrĩa mũtũũgĩru kũu Medeba, nginya o Diboni,
From Aroer, that [is] upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that [is] in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;
10 na matũũra mothe ma Sihoni mũthamaki wa Aamori, ũrĩa wathamakaga Heshiboni, nginya o mũhaka wa Aamoni.
And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;
11 Ningĩ ũgakinya Gileadi, bũrũri wa andũ a Geshuru na Maaka, o na kĩrĩma kĩa Herimoni guothe, na Bashani guothe, o nginya Saleka,
And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;
12 ũguo nĩ kuuga ũthamaki wothe wa Ogu kũu Bashani, ũrĩa waathanaga Ashitarothu na Edirei, nake ũcio nĩwe warĩ wa mũico wa matigari ma Arefaimu. Musa nĩamatooretie na agataha bũrũri wao.
All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.
13 No rĩrĩ, andũ a Isiraeli matiigana kũingata andũ a Geshuru na Maaka; nĩ ũndũ ũcio matũũraga hamwe na andũ a Isiraeli nginya ũmũthĩ.
Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
14 No ndaigana kũhe Alawii igai, kuona atĩ maruta mothe ma njino marĩa maarutagĩrwo Jehova, Ngai wa Isiraeli, nĩmo maarĩ igai rĩao, o ta ũrĩa aamerĩire.
Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire [are] their inheritance, as he said unto them.
15 Nake Musa akĩgaĩra mũhĩrĩga wa Rubeni, kũringana na ũrĩa mbarĩ ciao ciatariĩ:
And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben [inheritance] according to their families.
16 Bũrũri ũrĩa uumĩte Aroeri rũteere-inĩ rwa mũkuru wa Arinoni, na kuuma itũũra rĩrĩa rĩarĩ gatagatĩ ka mũkuru ũcio, na kũrĩa guothe gũtũũgĩru kũhĩtũka Medeba,
And their coast was from Aroer, that [is] on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that [is] in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;
17 nginya Heshiboni na matũũra marĩo marĩa maarĩ werũ-inĩ ũcio mũtũũgĩru, na nĩmo Diboni, na Bamothu Baali, na Bethi-Baali-Meoni, na
Heshbon, and all her cities that [are] in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,
18 Jahazu, na Kedemothu, na Mefaathu, na
And Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Kiriathaimu, na Sibima, na Zerethu-Shaharu rĩrĩa rĩrĩ kĩrĩma igũrũ kĩrĩa kĩarĩ kũu gĩtuamba kĩu,
And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar in the mount of the valley,
20 na Bethi-Peoru, na iharũrũka cia Pisiga, na Bethi-Jeshimothu,
And Beth-peor, and Ashdoth-pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,
21 o na matũũra mothe marĩa maarĩ werũ-inĩ ũcio mũtũũgĩru o hamwe na ũthamaki wothe wa Sihoni mũthamaki wa Aamori, ũrĩa waathanaga Heshiboni. Musa nĩamũtooretie na agatooria anene a Midiani, na Evi, nao nĩ Rekemu, na Zuru, na Huri, na Reba, anene maanyiitanĩte na Sihoni arĩa maatũire bũrũri ũcio.
And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, [which were] dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
22 Hamwe na arĩa mooragĩirwo mbaara-inĩ, andũ a Isiraeli nĩmooragĩte Balamu mũrũ wa Beori ũrĩa warĩ mũragũri na rũhiũ rwa njora.
Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.
23 Mũhaka wa mũhĩrĩga wa Rubeni warĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani. Matũũra macio hamwe na tũtũũra twamo nĩmo maarĩ igai rĩa mũhĩrĩga wa Rubeni, kũringana na ũrĩa mbarĩ ciao ciatariĩ.
And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border [thereof]. This [was] the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
24 Ũyũ nĩguo bũrũri ũrĩa Musa aaheete mũhĩrĩga wa Gadi, kũringana na ũrĩa mbarĩ ciao ciatariĩ:
And Moses gave [inheritance] unto the tribe of Gad, [even] unto the children of Gad according to their families.
25 Nĩ bũrũri wa Jazeri, na matũũra mothe ma Gileadi, na nuthu ya bũrũri wa andũ a Amoni o nginya Aroeri, gũkuhĩ na Raba;
And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that [is] before Rabbah;
26 na kuuma Heshiboni nginya Ramathu-Mizipe na Betonimu, na kuuma Mahanaimu o nginya bũrũri wa Debiri;
And from Heshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;
27 na kũu gĩtuamba-inĩ, na Bethi-Haramu, na Bethi-Nimira, na Sukothu, na Zafoni hamwe na kũu kũngĩ gwathanagwo nĩ Sihoni mũthamaki wa Heshiboni (mwena wa irathĩro wa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani, bũrũri ũrĩa ũkinyĩte mũthia-inĩ wa Iria rĩa Kinerethu).
And in the valley, Beth-aram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and [his] border, [even] unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
28 Matũũra macio hamwe na tũtũũra twamo nĩmo maatuĩkire igai rĩa mũhĩrĩga wa Gadi, kũringana na ũrĩa mbarĩ ciao ciatariĩ.
This [is] the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.
29 Ũyũ nĩguo bũrũri ũrĩa Musa aaheete nuthu ya mũhĩrĩga wa Manase, ũguo nĩ kuuga nuthu ya nyũmba ya njiaro cia Manase, kũringana na ũrĩa mbarĩ ciao ciatariĩ:
And Moses gave [inheritance] unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and [this] was [the possession] of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.
30 Nĩ bũrũri ũrĩa uumĩte o Mahanaimu, hamwe na Bashani guothe, kũrĩa guothe gwathanagwo nĩ Ogu mũthamaki wa Bashani, o na matũũra mothe ma Jairu kũu Bashani, namo mothe nĩ matũũra mĩrongo ĩtandatũ,
And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan, threescore cities:
31 nuthu ya Gileadi, na Ashitarothu na Edirei (matũũra ma mũthamaki ma Ogu marĩa maarĩ kũu Bashani). Kũu nĩkuo kwarĩ kwa njiaro cia Makiru mũrũ wa Manase, ũguo nĩ kuuga nuthu ya ariũ a Makiru, kũringana na ũrĩa mbarĩ ciao ciatariĩ.
And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [were pertaining] unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, [even] to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.
32 Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo igai rĩrĩa Musa aaheanĩte hĩndĩ ĩrĩa aarĩ kũu werũ-inĩ wa Amoabi mũrĩmo wa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani, mwena wa irathĩro wa Jeriko.
These [are the countries] which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
33 No rĩrĩ, mũhĩrĩga wa Lawi ndwaheirwo igai nĩ Musa; Jehova, Ngai wa Isiraeli, nĩwe igai rĩao, o ta ũrĩa aamerĩire.
But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not [any] inheritance: the LORD God of Israel [was] their inheritance, as he said unto them.
