< Johana 21 >
1 Thuutha ũcio Jesũ nĩacookire akiumĩrĩra arutwo ake iria-inĩ rĩa Tiberia. Ũũ nĩguo kwahaanire:
After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and in this manner did he show himself.
There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.
3 Simoni Petero akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Niĩ ndathiĩ gũtega thamaki.” Nao makĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Tũgũthiĩ nawe.” Nĩ ũndũ ũcio makiumagara, magĩtoonya marikabu, no ũtukũ ũcio matirĩ kĩndũ maagwatirie.
Simon Peter saith to them, I am going fishing. They say to him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a boat immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 Rũciinĩ tene, Jesũ akĩrũgama hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia iria, no arutwo matiamenyaga atĩ nĩ Jesũ.
But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Nake akĩmeeta akĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Arata akwa, nĩmũgwatĩtie thamaki?” Nao magĩcookia makiuga atĩrĩ, “Aca.”
Then Jesus saith to them, Children, have ye any fish? They answered him, No.
And he said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith to Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt on his fishermen’s coat, ( for he was naked, ) and cast himself into the sea.
8 Nao arutwo acio angĩ makĩmũrũmĩrĩra na marikabu maguucĩtie wabu ũiyũrĩte thamaki tondũ matiarĩ haraaya, maarĩ ta itĩĩna rĩa makinya igana rĩmwe kuuma hũgũrũrũ-inĩ.
And the other disciples came in a little boat; ( for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits, ) dragging the net with fishes.
As soon then as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on them, and bread.
10 Nake Jesũ akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Rehei thamaki imwe cia iria mwagwatia.”
Jesus saith to them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Nake Simoni Petero akĩhaica marikabu akĩguucia wabu ũcio nginya hũgũrũrũ-inĩ. Naguo waiyũrĩte thamaki iria nene, 153, no o na irĩ nyingĩ ũguo, wabu ũcio ndwatuĩkire.
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and although there were so many, yet the net was not broken.
Jesus saith to them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples dared ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Nake Jesũ agĩthiĩ, akĩoya mũgate akĩmahe, agĩcooka akĩmahe thamaki o nacio.
Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo rĩarĩ ihinda rĩa gatatũ rĩa Jesũ kuumĩrĩra arutwo ake thuutha wa kũriũka kuuma kũrĩ arĩa akuũ.
This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead.
15 Nao maarĩkia kũrĩa, Jesũ akĩũria Simoni Petero atĩrĩ, “Simoni mũrũ wa Jona, na ma ti-itherũ nĩũnyendete gũkĩra aya?” Nake agĩcookia atĩrĩ, “Ĩĩ Mwathani, wee nĩũũĩ atĩ nĩngwendete.” Nake Jesũ akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Heaga tũgondu twakwa gĩa kũrĩa.”
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my lambs.
16 Ningĩ Jesũ akĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Simoni mũrũ wa Jona, ti-itherũ nĩũnyendete?” Nake akĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Ĩĩ Mwathani, wee nĩũũĩ atĩ nĩngwendete.” Nake Jesũ akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Rĩithagia ngʼondu ciakwa.”
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my sheep.
He saith to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep.
18 “Ngũkwĩra atĩrĩ na ma, rĩrĩa warĩ mwĩthĩ nĩwehumbaga nguo, ũgathiĩ kũrĩa ũkwenda; no rĩrĩa ũgaakũra, nĩũgatambũrũkia moko, nake mũndũ ũngĩ nĩagakũhumba nguo, acooke agũtware kũrĩa ũtekwenda gũthiĩ.”
Verily, verily, I say to thee, When thou wast young, thou didst gird thyself, and didst walk where thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee where thou wouldest not.
19 Jesũ oigire ũguo nĩgeetha onanie gĩkuũ kĩrĩa Petero agaakua, agoocithie Ngai. Agĩcooka akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Nũmĩrĩra!”
This he spoke, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith to him, Follow me.
20 Nake Petero eehũgũra akĩona mũrutwo ũrĩa Jesũ endete amarũmĩrĩire. (Ũcio nĩ ũrĩa wetiranĩtie na Jesũ rĩrĩa marĩĩaga irio cia hwaĩ-inĩ, na nowe wamũũrĩtie atĩrĩ, “Mwathani, nũũ ũcio ũgũgũkunyanĩra?”)
Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Na rĩrĩa Petero aamuonire-rĩ, akĩũria atĩrĩ, “Mwathani, nake mũndũ ũyũ ũhoro wake nĩ atĩa?”
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Nake Jesũ akĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Ingĩenda atũũre muoyo nginya rĩrĩa ngacooka-rĩ, ũcio ũkĩrĩ ũhoro waku? Wee no nginya ũnũmĩrĩre.”
Jesus saith to him, If I will that he shall tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
No Jesũ ndoigĩte atĩ ndagakua; ũrĩa oigĩte no atĩ, “Ingĩenda atũũre muoyo nginya rĩrĩa ngacooka-rĩ, ũcio ũkĩrĩ ũhoro waku?”
Then this saying went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not to him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he shall tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
This is the disciple who testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 Jesũ nĩekire maũndũ mangĩ maingĩ. Korwo mothe nĩmandĩkirwo-rĩ, ngwĩgereria atĩ o na thĩ yothe ndĩngĩiganĩra mabuku marĩa mangĩandĩkwo.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
