< Johana 17 >
1 Jesũ aarĩkia kuuga maũndũ macio, agĩtiira maitho akĩrora na igũrũ, akĩhooya, akiuga atĩrĩ: “Baba hĩndĩ nĩ nginyu. Goocithia Mũrũguo, nĩguo nake Mũrũguo akũgoocithie.
These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee:
2 Nĩgũkorwo nĩũmũheete ũhoti wa gwatha andũ othe, nĩguo arĩa othe ũmũheete amahe muoyo wa tene na tene. (aiōnios )
even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that whatsoever thou hast given him, to them he should give eternal life.
And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ.
I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.
5 Na rĩu Baba, ngoocithia ndĩ mbere yaku na riiri ũrĩa ndaarĩ naguo hamwe nawe o mbere thĩ ĩtaanagĩa.
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 “Nĩnguũrĩirie andũ arĩa waheire gũkũ thĩ rĩĩtwa rĩaku. Acio maarĩ aku; nawe ũkĩĩhe o, nao nĩmathĩkĩire kiugo gĩaku.
I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Na rĩu nĩmamenyete atĩ indo iria ciothe ũheete ciumĩte kũrĩ wee.
Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:
8 Nĩgũkorwo nĩndamaheire ciugo iria waheire, nao magĩciĩtĩkĩra. Nĩmamenyire hatarĩ nganja atĩ ndoimire kũrĩ wee, na magĩĩtĩkia atĩ wee nĩwe wandũmire.
for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.
9 Acio nĩo ndĩrahoera. Ndirahoera andũ a gũkũ thĩ, no ndĩrahoera arĩa ũũheete, nĩgũkorwo nĩ aku.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:
10 Kĩrĩa gĩothe ndĩ nakĩo nĩ gĩaku, na kĩrĩa gĩothe ũrĩ nakĩo nĩ gĩakwa. Naguo ũgooci nĩũũkĩte kũrĩ niĩ nĩ ũndũ wao.
and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.
11 Ndigũikara gũkũ thĩ rĩngĩ, no-o marĩ o gũkũ thĩ, na niĩ ndĩroka kũrĩ wee. Baba Mũtheru, magitĩre na ũhoti wa rĩĩtwa rĩaku, rĩĩtwa rĩrĩa waheire, nĩgeetha matuĩke ũmwe o ta ũrĩa ithuĩ tũrĩ ũmwe.
And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we [are].
12 Rĩrĩa ndĩraarĩ nao, nĩndĩramagitagĩra na ngamamenyerera na rĩĩtwa rĩu waheire. Gũtirĩ o na ũmwe ũũrĩte o tiga ũrĩa wathĩrĩirwo kwanangwo nĩguo Maandĩko mahingio.
While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 “Rĩu ndĩroka kũrĩ wee, no maũndũ maya ndĩroiga ndĩ o gũkũ thĩ, nĩguo maiyũrwo nĩ gĩkeno gĩakwa kĩrĩ gĩkinyanĩru kũna thĩinĩ wao.
But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 Nĩndĩmaheete kiugo gĩaku, nao andũ a gũkũ thĩ makamathũũra, nĩgũkorwo o ti a gũkũ thĩ rĩngĩ, o ta ũrĩa niĩ itarĩ wa gũkũ thĩ.
I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 Ihooya rĩakwa ti ũmarute gũkũ thĩ, no nĩ atĩ ũmagitagĩre kuuma kũrĩ ũrĩa mũũru.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one].
16 O ti a gũkũ thĩ, o ta ũrĩa o na niĩ itarĩ wakuo.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
18 O ta ũrĩa wandũmire gũkũ thĩ, na niĩ noguo ndamatũma kũrĩ andũ a gũkũ thĩ.
As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.
19 Ndĩĩtheretie nĩ ũndũ wao, nĩguo o nao matherio kũna nĩ ũhoro ũrĩa wa ma.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
20 “Ningĩ to aya oiki ndĩrahoera. Ndĩrahoera o na arĩa angĩ makaanjĩtĩkia nĩ ũndũ wa ndũmĩrĩri ya aya,
Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;
21 nĩguo othe matuĩke ũmwe Baba, o ta ũrĩa we ũrĩ thĩinĩ wakwa na niĩ ndĩ thĩinĩ waku. O nao marogĩa thĩinĩ witũ nĩgeetha andũ a gũkũ thĩ metĩkie atĩ nĩwe ũndũmĩte.
that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
22 Nĩndĩmaheete riiri ũrĩa waheire, nĩguo matuĩke ũmwe o ta ũrĩa ithuĩ tũrĩ ũmwe,
And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;
23 niĩ ndĩ thĩinĩ wao, nawe ũrĩ thĩinĩ wakwa. Marotuĩka ũmwe kũna, nĩgeetha andũ a gũkũ thĩ mamenye atĩ nĩwe wandũmire, na atĩ nĩũmendete o ta ũrĩa ũnyendete.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.
24 “Baba, ngwenda arĩa ũũheete makorwo na niĩ harĩa ndĩ na mone riiri wakwa, riiri ũrĩa ũũheete nĩ ũndũ nĩwanyendete thĩ ĩtanombwo.
Father, that which thou hast given me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with me; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 “Baba Mũthingu, o na gũtuĩka andũ a gũkũ thĩ matikũũĩ-rĩ, niĩ nĩngũũĩ, nao nĩ moĩ atĩ nĩwe ũndũmĩte.
O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;
26 Nĩngũmenyithanĩtie kũrĩ o, na nĩngũkĩrĩrĩria gũkũmenyithania, nĩgeetha wendani ũrĩa ũnyendete naguo ũikarage thĩinĩ wao na nĩguo o na niĩ mwene ngoragwo thĩinĩ wao.”
and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
