< Ayubu 27 >

1 Nake Ayubu agĩthiĩ na mbere na mĩario yake, akiuga atĩrĩ:
Job again took up his parable, and said,
2 “Ti-itherũ o ta ũrĩa Mũrungu atũũraga muoyo, o we ũnyimĩte kĩhooto, ũcio Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, ũrĩa ũtũmĩte ngĩe na ũrũrũ ngoro-inĩ-rĩ,
“As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter
3 hĩndĩ ĩrĩa yothe niĩ ngũtũũra muoyo, nayo mĩhũmũ ya Ngai ĩrĩ maniũrũ-inĩ makwa,
(for the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);
4 mĩromo yakwa ndĩkaaria maũndũ ma waganu, na rũrĩmĩ rwakwa rũtikaaria maheeni.
surely my lips will not speak unrighteousness, neither will my tongue utter deceit.
5 Niĩ ndigetĩkĩra atĩ nĩ inyuĩ mũrĩ na kĩhooto; nginya rĩrĩa ngaakua, ndigakaana ũkindĩrĩku wakwa.
Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
6 Nĩngũtũũria ũthingu wakwa na ndikaũrekia; thamiri yakwa ndĩkanjiirithia rĩrĩa rĩothe ngũtũũra muoyo.
I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live.
7 “Thũ ciakwa irogĩtuĩka ta arĩa aaganu, arĩa marĩ muku na niĩ marotuĩka ta arĩa matarĩ kĩhooto!
“Let my enemy be as the wicked. Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.
8 Tondũ-rĩ, kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro kĩa ũrĩa ũtarĩ mwĩtigĩri Ngai gĩkĩrĩ kĩrĩkũ akua, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Ngai ooya muoyo wake?
For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
9 Mũrungu nĩakĩiguaga gũkaya gwake rĩrĩa akorwo nĩ mĩnyamaro?
Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him?
10 Nĩakenagĩra ũcio Mwene-Hinya-Wothe? Nĩakayagĩra Ngai mahinda mothe?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times?
11 “Nĩngũmũruta ũhoro wĩgiĩ ũhoti wa Mũrungu; ndikũhitha njĩra cia Mwene-Hinya-Wothe.
I will teach you about the hand of God. I will not conceal that which is with the Almighty.
12 Inyuothe nĩmwĩoneire maũndũ macio. Ĩkĩrĩ yakĩ mĩario ĩno ĩtarĩ kĩene?
Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?
13 “Ũũ nĩguo Mũrungu aathagĩrĩria arĩa aaganu, na nĩrĩo igai rĩrĩa mũndũ ũrĩa ũtarĩ tha aamũkagĩra kuuma kũrĩ Mwene-Hinya-Wothe:
“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.
14 O na ciana ciake ciaingĩha atĩa, ciathĩrĩirio rũhiũ rwa njora; rũciaro rwake rũtikoona irio cia kũrũigana.
If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring will not be satisfied with bread.
15 Mũthiro nĩguo ũkaaninũkia arĩa agaatiga thuutha wake, na atumia ao a ndigwa matikamarĩrĩra.
Those who remain of him will be buried in death. His widows will make no lamentation.
16 O na angĩonganĩrĩria betha ta rũkũngũ, na agĩe na nguo nyingĩ ta hĩba cia rĩũmba,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;
17 kĩrĩa egũcookanĩrĩria gĩkehumbwo nĩ ũrĩa mũthingu, na arĩa matarĩ mahĩtia nĩo makaagayana betha yake.
he may prepare it, but the just will put it on, and the innocent will divide the silver.
18 Nyũmba ĩrĩa aakaga no ta nyũmba ya kĩĩhuruta, ningĩ no ta gĩthũnũ gĩakĩtwo nĩ mũrangĩri.
He builds his house as the moth, as a booth which the watchman makes.
19 Agaakoma arĩ mũtongu, no ndagacooka gwĩka ũguo rĩngĩ; akaahingũra maitho akore gũtirĩ kĩndũ arĩ nakĩo.
He lies down rich, but he will not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not.
20 Imakania imũkoragĩrĩra ta mũiyũro wa maaĩ; kĩhuhũkanio gĩkaamũhuria ũtukũ.
Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night.
21 Rũhuho rwa mwena wa Irathĩro rũmuoyaga akabuĩria; rũmweheragia kũrĩa atũũraga.
The east wind carries him away, and he departs. It sweeps him out of his place.
22 Rũmũhurutaga rũtarĩ na tha o rĩrĩa aroorĩra hinya waruo.
For it hurls at him, and does not spare, as he flees away from his hand.
23 Rũhũũraga hĩ rũkamũkenerera, na rũkagamba ta nyoka rũkamũruta kũrĩa atũũraga.”
Men will clap their hands at him, and will hiss him out of his place.
