< Jeremia 23 >
1 “Hĩ! Kaĩ arĩithi arĩa maniinaga na makahurunja mbũri cia rũũru rwakwa marĩ na haaro-ĩ!” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
Woe to! [the] shepherds [who] are causing to stray and [who are] scattering [the] flock of pasture my [the] utterance of Yahweh.
2 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Jehova Ngai wa Isiraeli ekũũria arĩithi arĩa marĩithagia andũ akwa atĩrĩ: “Tondũ nĩmũhurunjĩte mbũri ciakwa na mũgaciingata, na nĩmwagĩte gũcimenyerera-rĩ, nĩngamũherithia nĩ ũndũ wa ũũru ũcio mwĩkĩte,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel on the shepherds who are shepherding people my you you have scattered flock my and you have driven away them and not you have paid attention to them here I [am] about to visit on you [the] wickedness of deeds your [the] utterance of Yahweh.
3 “Niĩ mwene nĩngacookereria matigari ma rũũru rwa mbũri ciakwa kuuma mabũrũri mothe marĩa ndaacitwarithirie, ndĩcicookie ũrĩithio-inĩ wacio, na nĩigaciaranĩra kuo, cingĩhe.
And I I will gather together [the] remnant of flock my from all the lands where I have banished them there and I will bring back them to pasture their and they will be fruitful and they will increase.
4 Nĩngacirehera arĩithi a gũcirĩithagia, na itigacooka gwĩtigĩra kana kũmaka, na gũtirĩ o na ĩmwe yacio ĩkoora,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
And I will raise up over them shepherds and they will shepherd them and not they will be afraid again and not they will be terrified and not they will be missing [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will raise up for David a branch righteous and he will reign a king and he will act prudently and he will do justice and righteousness in the land.
6 Matukũ-inĩ make-rĩ, Juda nĩakahonokio, nake Isiraeli atũũre arĩ mũgitĩre. Nake ageetagwo rĩĩtwa rĩrĩ: Jehova-Ũthingu-Witũ.”
In days his it will be saved Judah and Israel it will dwell to security and this [will be] name his which anyone will call him Yahweh - [is] righteousness our.
7 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: “Matukũ nĩmarooka, rĩrĩa andũ matagacooka kuuga atĩrĩ, ‘Ti-itherũ o ta ũrĩa Jehova atũũraga muoyo, ũrĩa warutire andũ a Isiraeli kuuma bũrũri wa Misiri,’
Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and not people will say again [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he brought up [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt.
8 no makoigaga atĩrĩ, ‘Ti-itherũ, o ta ũrĩa Jehova atũũraga muoyo, ũrĩa warutire njiaro cia Isiraeli bũrũri ũrĩa ũrĩ mwena wa gathigathini, na kuuma mabũrũri-inĩ mothe kũrĩa aamathaamĩirie.’ Hĩndĩ ĩyo magaatũũra bũrũri wao ene.”
That except [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he brought up and who he brought [the] offspring of [the] house of Israel from a land north-ward and from all the lands where I banished them there and they will dwell on own land their.
9 Ũhoro ũkoniĩ anabii nĩ atĩrĩ: Ngoro yakwa nĩthuthĩku; mahĩndĩ makwa mothe nĩmarainaina. Haana ta mũndũ mũrĩĩu, ngahaana ta mũndũ mũtoorie nĩ ndibei, nĩ ũndũ wa Jehova, na nĩ ũndũ wa ndũmĩrĩri ciake theru.
Of the prophets it is broken heart my in inner being my they have become weak all bones my I have become like a person drunken and like a man [whom] it has passed over him wine because of Yahweh and because of [the] words of holiness his.
10 Bũrũri ũyũ ũiyũrĩte itharia; bũrũri ũyũ ũikarĩte ũrĩ mũngʼaru nĩ ũndũ wa kĩrumi, naguo ũrĩithio wothe kũu werũ-inĩ ũkahooha. Anabii marũmĩrĩire mĩtũũrĩre mĩũru, na makahũthĩra hinya wao ũrĩa gũtagĩrĩire.
For adulterers it is full the land for because of a curse it has dried up the land they have become dry [the] pastures of [the] wilderness and it has become course [of life] their evil and strength their [is] not right.
11 “Anabii na athĩnjĩri-Ngai matiĩtigagĩra Ngai; o na thĩinĩ wa hekarũ-inĩ yakwa, nĩndĩĩoneire waganu wao,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
For both prophet as well as priest they are polluted also in house my I have found wickedness their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
12 “Nĩ ũndũ ũcio njĩra yao nĩĩgũtuĩka ndenderũ; magaathaamĩrio nduma-inĩ, na kũu nĩkuo makaagũĩra. Nĩngamarehithĩria mwanangĩko mwaka-inĩ ũrĩa makaaherithio,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
Therefore it will become path their for them like slippery places in the darkness they will be pushed down and they will fall on it for I will bring on them calamity [the] year of punishment their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
13 “Thĩinĩ wa anabii a Samaria-rĩ, nĩndonire ũndũ ũrĩ magigi, naguo nĩ ũyũ: Maarathaga mohoro na rĩĩtwa rĩa Baali, nao makĩhĩtithia andũ akwa a Isiraeli.
And among [the] prophets of Samaria I saw offensiveness they prophesied by Baal and they caused to err people my Israel.
Othe mahaanĩte ta Sodomu harĩ niĩ; andũ a Jerusalemu mahaana o ta Gomora.”
And among [the] prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible [thing] they have committed adultery and they have walked in falsehood and they have strengthened [the] hands of evil-doers to not they have turned away anyone from evil his they have become to me all of them like Sodom and inhabitants its like Gomorrah.
15 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, ũhoro ũkoniĩ anabii acio, Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe ekuuga ũũ: “Nĩngatũma marĩe irio ndũrũ na manyue maaĩ marĩ na thumu, nĩ ũndũ kuuma kũrĩ anabii a Jerusalemu, wagi wa gwĩtigĩra Ngai ũhunjĩte bũrũri-inĩ guothe.”
Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts on the prophets here I [am] about to make eat them wormwood and I will make drink them water of poison for from with [the] prophets of Jerusalem it has gone out wicked behavior to all the land.
16 Ũũ nĩguo Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe ekuuga: “Mũtigathikĩrĩrie ũrĩa anabii acio maramũrathĩra; nĩ ciĩrĩgĩrĩro cia tũhũ mamũheaga. Maaragia ũhoro wa cioneki ciumĩte meciiria-inĩ mao ene, no ti kuuma kanua ka Jehova.
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts may not you listen to [the] words of the prophets who are prophesying to you [are] deluding they you [the] vision of own heart their they speak not from [the] mouth of Yahweh.
17 Mathiiaga na mbere na kwĩra andũ arĩa maathũire atĩrĩ, ‘Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: Nĩmũkũgĩa na thayũ.’ Na kũrĩ arĩa othe marũmagĩrĩra ũremi wa ngoro ciao, makameera atĩrĩ, ‘Gũtirĩ ũũru ũkũmũkora.’
[they are] saying Continually to [those who] despise me he says Yahweh peace it will belong to you and every [one who] walks in [the] stubbornness of own heart his they have said not it will come on you calamity.
18 No rĩrĩ, nũũ wao ũrĩ warũgama ciira-inĩ wa Jehova, akĩona kana akĩigua kiugo gĩake. Nũũ wathikĩrĩirie kana akĩigua kiugo gĩake?
For who? has he stood in [the] council of Yahweh so he may see and he may hear word his who? has he paid attention to (word his *Q(K)*) and has he listened?
19 Atĩrĩrĩ, kĩhuhũkanio kĩa Jehova gĩgaatuthũka na mangʼũrĩ, ta kĩhuhũkanio kĩnene gĩkĩharũrũka, nakĩo kĩgũĩre mĩtwe ya andũ arĩa aaganu.
There! - [the] storm of Yahweh rage it has gone out and a storm whirling on [the] head of wicked [people] it will whirl about.
Not it will turn back [the] anger of Yahweh until has brought about he and until has carried out he [the] purposes of heart his at [the] end of the days you will understand it understanding.
21 Anabii acio-rĩ, ti niĩ ndaamatũmire, no rĩrĩ, nĩmatengʼerete na ndũmĩrĩri ciao; niĩ ndiamaarĩirie, no-o no marathĩte mohoro.
Not I sent the prophets and they they ran not I spoke to them and they they prophesied.
22 No korwo nĩmarũgamĩte ciira-inĩ wakwa-rĩ, nĩmangĩahunjirie ndũmĩrĩri yakwa kũrĩ andũ akwa, na nĩmangĩagarũrũkĩte, magatigana na mĩthiĩre yao mĩũru, na magatigana na ciĩko ciao njũru.
And if they had stood in council my so they may cause to hear words my people my and they will turn back them from way their wicked and from [the] wickedness of deeds their.
23 “Kaĩ ndĩ Ngai wa o gũkũ gũkuhĩ, na ndirĩ Ngai wa kũraya?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekũũria.
¿ A God from near [am] I [the] utterance of Yahweh and not a God from a distance.
24 “Kũrĩ mũndũ ũngĩhota kwĩhitha kũrĩa kwĩhithĩte mũno, ũndũ itangĩhota kũmuona?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekũũria. “Githĩ ndiyũrĩte kũndũ guothe, igũrũ na thĩ?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekũũria.
Or? will he hide himself anyone in hiding places and I not I will see him [the] utterance of Yahweh ¿ not the heavens and the earth [am] I filling [the] utterance of Yahweh.
25 “Nĩnjiguĩte ũrĩa anabii moigaga arĩa marathaga mohoro ma maheeni makĩgwetaga rĩĩtwa rĩakwa. Moigaga atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩndĩrarootire! Nĩndĩrarootire!’
I have heard [that] which they have said the prophets who prophesy in name my falsehood saying I have dreamed I have dreamed.
26 Nĩ nginya rĩ ũhoro ũyũ ũgũthiĩ na mbere ngoro-inĩ cia anabii acio maheenanagia, o acio marathaga maũndũ ma matũhũhũ moimĩte meciiria-inĩ mao ene?
Until when? ¿ [is] there in [the] heart of the prophets [who] prophesy falsehood and [the] prophets of [the] deceitfulness of own heart their.
27 Meciiragia atĩ irooto icio meranaga mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ nĩigũtũma andũ akwa mariganĩrwo nĩ rĩĩtwa rĩakwa, o ta ũrĩa maithe mao mariganĩirwo nĩ rĩĩtwa rĩakwa makĩhooya Baali.
Who plan to make forget people my name my by dreams their which they recount each to neighbor his just as they forgot ancestors their name my for Baal.
28 Mũnabii ũrĩa ũrotete kĩroto-rĩ, nĩaheane ũhoro wa kĩroto kĩu gĩake, no rĩrĩ, ũrĩa ũrĩ na ndũmĩrĩri yakwa nĩaheane ũhoro wayo arĩ na wĩhokeku. Tondũ-rĩ, kaĩ rũũwa rwa ngano rũrĩ na ũhoro ũrĩkũ na ngano?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekũũria.
The prophet whom [is] with him a dream let him recount [the] dream and whom word my [is] with him let him speak word my faithfulness what? [belongs] to the straw with the grain [the] utterance of Yahweh.
29 “Githĩ ndũmĩrĩri yakwa ndĩhaana ta mwaki, o na ta kĩbũi kĩrĩa gĩthetheraga rwaro rwa ihiga rũgatuĩka tũcere?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekũũria.
¿ Not thus [is] word my like fire [the] utterance of Yahweh and like a hammer [which] it shatters rock.
30 “Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, nĩndeganĩte na anabii acio maiyaga ndeto mũndũ kuuma kũrĩ ũrĩa ũngĩ, magaciaria ta ciumĩte kũrĩ niĩ,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
Therefore here I [am] on the prophets [the] utterance of Yahweh [who] steal words my each from with neighbor his.
31 Ũũ nĩguo Jehova ekuuga, “Nĩngũũkĩrĩra anabii acio maaragia ndeto ciao ene, na magacooka makoiga atĩrĩ, ‘Ũguo nĩguo Jehova oiga.’
Here I [am] on the prophets [the] utterance of Yahweh who take tongue their and they have uttered an utterance.
32 Ĩĩ ti-itherũ, nĩngũũkĩrĩra anabii acio marathaga mohoro ma irooto cia maheeni,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga. “Maheanaga ũhoro wacio, makahĩtithia andũ akwa na maheeni na mwĩtĩĩo wao, no ti niĩ ndĩmatũmĩte kana ngamaatha. Matigunaga andũ aya o na hanini,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
Here I [am] on [those who] prophesy dreams of falsehood [the] utterance of Yahweh and they have recounted them and they caused to err people my by falsehoods their and by recklessness their and I not I sent them and not I appointed them and certainly not they benefit the people this [the] utterance of Yahweh.
33 “Rĩrĩa andũ aya, kana mũnabii, o na kana mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai mangĩkũũria atĩrĩ, ‘Ndũmĩrĩri nditũ kuuma kũrĩ Jehova nĩ ĩrĩkũ?’ ũkameera atĩrĩ, ‘Ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ya Jehova nĩ inyuĩ, na nĩngamũtiganĩria, ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.’
And if it will ask you the people this or the prophet or a priest saying what? [is] [the] burden of Yahweh and you will say to them what? burden and I will abandon you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
34 Mũnabii, kana mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai, o na kana mũndũ ũngĩ o wothe angiuga atĩrĩ, ‘Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ kuuma kũrĩ Jehova,’ niĩ nĩngaherithia mũndũ ũcio o hamwe na nyũmba yake.
And the prophet and the priest and the people who he will say [the] burden of Yahweh and I will visit [judgment] on the person that and on house his.
35 Mũndũ o mũndũ wanyu atiindaga akĩũria mũratawe kana mũndũ wao atĩrĩ: ‘Icookia rĩa Jehova nĩ rĩrĩkũ?’ kana, ‘Jehova oigĩte atĩa?’
Thus you will say each to neighbor his and each to brother his what? did he answer Yahweh and what? did he say Yahweh.
36 No rĩrĩ, mũtigacooke kuuga rĩngĩ atĩ ‘ndũmĩrĩri nditũ kuuma kũrĩ Jehova,’ tondũ kiugo kĩa mũndũ we mwene nĩkĩo gĩtuĩkaga ndũmĩrĩri yake nditũ, na ũguo nĩguo mũgarũraga ciugo cia ndũmĩrĩri cia Ngai ũrĩa ũrĩ muoyo, o we Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, Ngai witũ.
And [the] burden of Yahweh not you will remember again for the burden it is for a person own word his and you change [the] words of God living Yahweh of hosts God our.
37 Mũtindaga mũkĩũria mũnabii atĩrĩ: ‘Jehova agũcookeirie ũhoro ũrĩkũ?’ kana, ‘Jehova aarĩtie atĩa?’
Thus you will say to the prophet what? did he answer you Yahweh and what? did he say Yahweh.
38 O na gwatuĩka inyuĩ nĩmugaga atĩrĩ, ‘Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ kuuma kũrĩ Jehova,’ ũũ nĩguo Jehova ekuuga: Nĩmwahũthĩrire ciugo ici, ‘Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ kuuma kũrĩ Jehova,’ o na gũtuĩka nĩndamwĩrĩte mũtikanoige atĩ ‘Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ kuuma kũrĩ Jehova.’
And if [the] burden of Yahweh you will say therefore thus he says Yahweh because have spoken you the word this [the] burden of Yahweh and I sent to you saying not you must say [the] burden of Yahweh.
39 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, ti-itherũ nĩngariganĩrwo nĩ inyuĩ, ndĩmũingate mwehere mbere yakwa hamwe na itũũra rĩĩrĩ inene rĩrĩa ndaamũheire inyuĩ ene o na maithe manyu.
Therefore here [am] I and I will surely you lift up and I will abandon you and the city which I gave to you and to ancestors your from on face my.
40 Nĩngamũrehithĩria thoni cia gũtũũra tene na tene, ĩĩ, ndũme mũconorithio na njono itakariganĩra.”
And I will put on you a reproach of perpetuity and shame of perpetuity which not it will be forgotten.
