< Isaia 46 >

1 Atĩrĩrĩ, Beli nĩĩinamĩrĩire, nayo Nebo ĩkahocerera; mĩhianano yacio ya kũhooywo ĩkuuagwo nĩ nyamũ cia mũtitũ o na ngʼombe. Mĩhianano ĩyo mĩacũhie ĩkuuagwo kũndũ na kũndũ nĩĩtuĩkĩte mĩrigo mĩritũ, mĩrigo ya kũnogia nyamũ iria imĩkuuaga.
Bel bows down, Nebo stoops, their idols were on the beasts, and on the cattle: your carriages were heavy laden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
2 Nyamũ icio na ngai icio cia kũhooywo irainamĩrĩra hamwe; ciothe ikaremwo nĩkũhonokia mĩhianano ĩyo ĩkuuĩtwo, nacio nyene igatahwo igatwarwo ũkombo-inĩ.
They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3 “Atĩrĩrĩ, ta thikĩrĩriai, inyuĩ nyũmba ya Jakubu, inyuothe matigari ma nyũmba ya Isiraeli, o inyuĩ arĩa ndũire nditikĩte kuuma rĩrĩa mwarĩ nda cia manyina manyu, na ngatũũra ndĩmũkuuĩte kuuma rĩrĩa mwaciarirwo.
Listen to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4 O na ũkũrũ-inĩ wanyu, no niĩ, o na rĩrĩa mũgaakorwo mũrĩ na mbuĩ, niĩ nĩ niĩ ngũmũtũũria muoyo. Nĩ niĩ ndaamũũmbire, na nĩ niĩ ngũtũũra ndĩmũkuuaga, ĩĩ ti-itherũ nĩ niĩ ngũmũtũũria muoyo na ndĩmũhonokagie.
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
5 “Niĩ-rĩ, mũngĩngerekania na ũ kana nũũ mũngĩnjiganania nake? Mũngĩĩhaanania na ũ nĩguo tũgerekanio nake?
To whom will you liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 Andũ amwe maitũrũraga thahabu kuuma mondo-inĩ ciao, na magathima betha na ratiri; magacooka makaandĩka mũturi wa thahabu amĩthondeke ĩtuĩke mũhianano wa ngai yao, nao magacooka makamĩinamĩrĩra, makamĩhooya.
They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he makes it a god: they fall down, yes, they worship.
7 Mũhianano ũcio maũigagĩrĩra ciande ciao, makaũkuua; makaũiga handũ haguo, ũgaikara ũrũgamĩte o hau. No ndũngĩhota kuuma hau wĩtware. O na mũndũ angĩũkaĩra-rĩ, ndũngĩcookia, kana ũhonokie mũndũ ũcio kuuma mathĩĩna-inĩ make.
They bear him on the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he stands; from his place shall he not remove: yes, one shall cry to him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8 “Inyuĩ aremi aya, ririkanai ũndũ ũyũ, na mũwĩkĩre meciiria-inĩ manyu, mũũige ngoro-inĩ.
Remember this, and show yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O you transgressors.
9 Ririkanai maũndũ marĩa mahĩtũkĩte, marĩa ma tene; niĩ nĩ niĩ Mũrungu, na gũtirĩ ũngĩ tiga niĩ; niĩ nĩ niĩ Ngai, na gũtirĩ ũngĩ ũhaana ta niĩ.
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Niĩ menyithanagia maũndũ marĩa mageekĩka marigĩrĩrio-inĩ kuuma o kĩambĩrĩria, namo maũndũ marĩa magooka ngamamenyithania kuuma o tene. Ngoiga atĩrĩ: Ũrĩa nduĩte nĩũkahinga, namo maũndũ mothe marĩa nyendaga gwĩka-rĩ, no mo ngeeka.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 Nĩngeeta nyoni ndĩa nyama kuuma mwena wa irathĩro; nĩngeeta mũndũ wa kũhingia maũndũ marĩa nduĩte gwĩka kuuma bũrũri wa kũraya. Ũrĩa njugĩte nĩngahingia; ũndũ ũrĩa ndĩciirĩtie gwĩka nĩngawĩka.
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country: yes, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 Ta thikĩrĩriai, inyuĩ andũ a ngoro nyũmũ, o inyuĩ mũraihanĩrĩirie na ũhoro wa ũthingu.
Listen to me, you stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13 Nĩngũreharehe ũthingu wakwa hakuhĩ, ndũrĩ kũraya; o naguo ũhonokio wakwa ũgũũka o narua. Ũhoro wa ũhonokio wakwa ngũwathĩrĩra Zayuni, na njathĩrĩre riiri wakwa kũrĩ Isiraeli.
I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
