< Isaia 43 >

1 No rĩrĩ, wee Jakubu, Jehova ũrĩa wakũũmbire, o we ũcio watũmire ũgĩe ho, wee Isiraeli, ekuuga atĩrĩ: “Tiga gwĩtigĩra, nĩgũkorwo nĩ niĩ ngũkũũrĩte; Ngwĩtĩte na rĩĩtwa rĩaku; wee ũrĩ wakwa.
But now thus says Jehovah who created thee, O Jacob, and he who formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee. I have called thee by thy name, Thou are mine.
2 Rĩrĩa ũkũgerera maaĩ-inĩ ũkĩhĩtũkĩra kuo-rĩ, ndĩrĩkoragwo hamwe nawe; o na rĩrĩa ũkũringa njũũĩ-rĩ, itigagũtwara. Rĩrĩa ũkũgerera mwaki-inĩ-rĩ, ndũgaagũcina; ndũkarĩrĩmbũkĩrwo nĩ rũrĩrĩmbĩ rwaguo.
When thou pass through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee. When thou walk through the fire, thou shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 Nĩgũkorwo nĩ niĩ Jehova, Ngai waku, o we Ũrĩa Mũtheru wa Isiraeli, Mũhonokia waku; nĩheanĩte bũrũri wa Misiri ũtuĩke kĩndũ gĩa gũgũkũũra, nakuo Kushi na Seba ngakũheana ithenya rĩaku.
For I am Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior. I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in thy stead.
Since thou have been precious in my sight, and honorable, and I have loved thee, therefore I will give men in thy stead, and peoples instead of thy life.
Fear not, for I am with thee. I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west.
I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Keep not back. Bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the end of the earth,
7 arĩa othe metanĩtio na rĩĩtwa rĩakwa, o acio ndoombire nĩgeetha riiri wakwa wonekage, acio ndoombire, o acio wĩra wa moko makwa.”
everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yea, whom I have made.
8 Tongoriai andũ arĩa marĩ na maitho, no nĩ atumumu, na andũ arĩa marĩ na matũ, no matiiguaga.
Bring forth the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.
9 Andũ a ndũrĩrĩ ciothe nĩmonganĩte hamwe, nao andũ a mabũrũri makagomana. Nĩ mũndũ ũrĩkũ wao warathire ũhoro ũyũ, na agĩtwĩra maũndũ marĩa maarĩ ma tene? Nĩmarehe aira ao moonanie atĩ ũhoro ũcio wao warĩ wa ma, nĩguo andũ maũigua moige atĩrĩ, “Ũhoro ũcio nĩ wa ma.”
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 “Inyuĩ nĩ inyuĩ aira akwa,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga. “O na nĩ inyuĩ ndungata ciakwa iria thuurĩte nĩgeetha mũmenye, na mũnjĩtĩkie, na mũmenye atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ ũrĩa we. Mbere yakwa gũtirĩ ũngĩ wombĩtwo, na gũtikagĩa ũngĩ thuutha wakwa.
Ye are my witnesses, says Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen, that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after me.
11 Niĩ-rĩ, o niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova, na gũtirĩ mũhonokia ũngĩ tiga niĩ.
I, even I, am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.
I have declared, and I have saved, and I have shown, and there was no strange god among you. Therefore ye are my witnesses, says Jehovah, and I am God.
13 “Ĩĩ, ti-itherũ, kuuma matukũ ma tene, niĩ nĩ niĩ ũrĩa we. Gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũ ũngĩhota kũhonokia mũndũ kuuma guoko-inĩ gwakwa. Rĩrĩa ndeka ũndũ-rĩ, nũũ ũngĩhota kũũgarũra?”
Yea, since the day was I am he, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?
14 Jehova, Mũhonokia wanyu, o Ũrĩa Mũtheru wa Isiraeli, ekuuga atĩrĩ, “Nĩngatũma mbũtũ ya ita yũkĩrĩre Babuloni nĩ ũndũ wanyu, na ndehe andũ othe a Babuloni marĩ mĩgwate, maikũrũkĩtio na marikabu iria makenagio nĩcio.
Thus says Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.
I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
16 Ũũ nĩguo Jehova ekuuga, o ũcio watemire njĩra iria-inĩ, na agĩtema gacĩra kũndũ kũrĩa kwarĩ maaĩ marĩ hinya,
Thus says Jehovah, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,
17 ũrĩa waguucĩrĩirie ngaari cia ita o na mbarathi, na mbũtũ cia ita, hamwe na anene a cio, nao magĩkoma hau na maticooke kwarahũka rĩngĩ, makĩhora biũ ta rũtambĩ rũhoretio.
who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together; they shall not rise; they are extinct; they are quenched as a wick):
18 “Tigai kũririkana maũndũ marĩa mahĩtũkĩte; o na tigai gwĩcũũrania maũndũ marĩa ma tene.
Do not remember ye the former things, nor consider the things of old.
19 Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩngwĩka ũndũ mwerũ! Rĩu no hĩndĩ ũraakunũka; kaĩ inyuĩ mũtaraũmenya? Ngwĩka atĩrĩ, nĩngũtema njĩra werũ-inĩ, nakuo rũngʼũrĩ-inĩ ndũme gũtherũke tũrũũĩ.
Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20 Nyamũ cia gĩthaka, ta mbwe na ndundu, nĩciiheaga gĩtĩĩo, tondũ nĩ niĩ heanaga maaĩ werũ-inĩ o na rũngʼũrĩ-inĩ, ngatũma kũgĩe na tũrũũĩ twa kũnyuuagwo nĩ andũ akwa, andũ arĩa niĩ thuurĩte,
The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21 andũ arĩa ndeyũmbĩire, nĩguo mahunjagie ũhoro wa ũgooci wakwa.
the people whom I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise.
22 “No rĩrĩ, wee Jakubu ndũrĩ wangaĩra, nawe Isiraeli-rĩ, nĩkũnogio ũnogetio nĩ niĩ.
Yet thou have not called upon me, O Jacob, but thou have been weary of me, O Israel.
Thou have not brought me from thy sheep for burnt offerings, nor have thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.
Thou have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices. But thou have burdened me with thy sins. Thou have wearied me with thine iniquities.
25 “Niĩ, o niĩ mwene, nĩ niĩ tharagia mahĩtia maku, mathire biũ, nĩ ũndũ wakwa Niĩ mwene, na ngaaga kũririkana mehia manyu rĩngĩ.
I, even I, am he who blots out thy transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.
26 Ta ndirikaniai maũndũ marĩa mahĩtũkĩte, na mũreke tũmaarĩrĩrie tũrĩ hamwe; ningĩ mũciire muonanie atĩ mũtiĩhĩtie.
Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Set thou forth thy case that thou may be justified.
27 Ithe wanyu wa mbere nĩehirie; nao andũ arĩa maaragia ithenya rĩanyu makĩĩnemera.
Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
28 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, nĩngaconorithia anene a hekarũ yanyu, na ndũme Jakubu anangĩke, o nake Isiraeli atuĩke wa kũnyararwo.
Therefore I will profane the rulers of the sanctuary, and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel a reviling.
