< Isaia 33 >
1 Atĩrĩrĩ wee mwanangi ũyũ, o wee ũtarĩ wanangwo, kaĩ ũrĩ na haaro-ĩ! Wee mũkunyanĩri ũyũ, o wee ũtarĩ wakunyanĩrwo, kaĩ ũrĩ na haaro-ĩ! Rĩrĩa ũgaatiga kwanangana, nĩguo nawe ũkaanangwo, na ningĩ rĩrĩa ũgaatiga gũkunyanĩra, nĩguo nawe ũgaakunyanĩrwo.
Woe to thee, thou spoiler, who hast not been spoiled! Thou plunderer, who hast not been plundered! When thou hast ceased to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; When thou hast finished plundering, they shall plunder thee.
2 Wee Jehova, tũiguĩre tha; wee nĩwe twetagĩrĩra. Tuĩka hinya witũ rũciinĩ o rũciinĩ, na ũtuĩke ũhonokio witũ hĩndĩ ya mĩnyamaro.
O Jehovah, have mercy upon us! in thee do we trust; Be thou our strength every morning, Our salvation in the time of trouble.

At the voice of thy thunder the people flee; When thou dost arise, the nations are scattered.
4 Indo cianyu iria igaakorwo itahĩtwo, inyuĩ ndũrĩrĩ, ikoingũrũrio itahwo, o ta ũrĩa ciana cia ngigĩ ciũngũrũragia; andũ magaacitharĩkĩra ta ũrĩa mĩrumbĩ ya ngigĩ ĩtharĩkagĩra mĩgũnda.
Your spoil shall be gathered, as the locust gathereth; As the locust runneth, so shall they run upon it.
5 Jehova nĩatũũgĩrĩtio, nĩgũkorwo atũũraga igũrũ; nake nĩakaiyũria Zayuni na ciira wa kĩhooto na ũthingu.
Jehovah is exalted; Yea, he dwelleth on high; He filleth Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 Nĩwe ũgaatuĩka gĩtina kĩrũmu matukũ-inĩ maku, na atuĩke kĩgĩĩna kĩa ũhoro mũingĩ wa ũhonokio, na ũũgĩ, na ũmenyi wa maũndũ; na ũhoro wa gwĩtigĩra Jehova nĩguo ũgaakorwo ũrĩ mũthiithũ wa ma.
There shall be security in thy times; Wisdom and knowledge shall be thy store of prosperity, And the fear of Jehovah, this shall be thy treasure!
7 Atĩrĩrĩ, andũ ao arĩa njamba mararĩrĩra njĩra-inĩ maanĩrĩire; nao mabarũthi mao ma thayũ maraarĩra na kĩgirĩko kĩnene.
Behold, the mighty men cry without: The ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 Barabara iria njariĩ itigĩtwo itarĩ andũ, na agendi magatiga kũgerera njĩra icio. Kĩrĩkanĩro kĩrĩa maarĩkanĩire nĩgĩthũkie, na aira a kĩo makanyararwo, gũtirĩ o na mũndũ ũmwe ũraheo gĩtĩĩo.
The highways are desolate; The traveller ceaseth; He breaketh the covenant; he despiseth the cities; Of men he maketh no account.
9 Bũrũri nĩũracakaya na ũgathirĩrĩkĩra, nakuo kũu Lebanoni nĩgũconorithĩtio na mĩtĩ yakuo ĩkahooha. Sharoni nakuo kũhanĩte ta werũ wa Araba, nakuo Bashani na Karimeli gũgaita mathangũ makuo.
The land mourneth and languisheth; Lebanon is put to shame, and withered away; Sharon is like a desert, And Bashan and Carmel are stripped of their leaves.
10 Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ, “Rĩu nĩngwarahũka, rĩu nĩngũtũũgĩrio; rĩu nĩngwambarario na igũrũ.
Now will I arise, saith Jehovah, Now will I exalt myself, Now will I lift myself up.
11 Inyuĩ mũkaagĩa nda cia maragara, mũciare rũũa rwa ngano; nayo mĩhũmũ yanyu ĩtuĩkĩte mwaki wa kũmũcina.
Ye shall conceive chaff, and bring forth stubble; Your own wrath is the fire which shall devour you.
12 Andũ a ndũrĩrĩ magaacinwo mahaane ta coka; magaacinwo na mwaki o ta ihinga cia mĩigua itemetwo.”
The nations shall be burnt into lime; Like thorns cut down, they shall be consumed with fire.
13 Atĩrĩrĩ inyuĩ andũ arĩa mũrĩ kũraya, ta thikĩrĩriai mũigue ũrĩa njĩkĩte; na inyuĩ mũrĩ gũkuhĩ umbũrai ũhoro wa hinya wakwa.
Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; Mark, ye that are near, my power!
14 Ehia arĩa marĩ kũu Zayuni nĩmamakĩte; nao andũ arĩa matooĩ Ngai nĩkũinaina marainaina, makoiga atĩrĩ, “Nũũ witũ ũngĩtũũrania na mwaki ũrĩa ũcinanaga? Ningĩ nũũ witũ ũngĩtũũrania na mwaki ũtakahora nginya tene?”
The sinners in Zion are struck with dread; Terror hath seized upon the unrighteous: “Who among us can dwell in devouring fire? Who among us can dwell in everlasting flames?”
15 Nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũthiiaga na mĩthiĩre ya ũthingu na akaaria ũhoro ũrĩa wagĩrĩire, o we ũtangĩoya uumithio uumanĩte na ũhinyanĩrĩria, na akagirĩrĩria guoko gwake kwamũkĩre mahaki, o ũcio ũgiragĩrĩria matũ make kũigua ndeto cia gũciirĩra ũragani, na akahinga maitho make matikerorere maũndũ mooru.
He that walketh in righteousness, And speaketh that which is right, That despiseth the gain of oppression, And shaketh his hands from bribery, That stoppeth his ears, so as not to hear of blood, And shutteth his eyes, so as not to behold iniquity.
16 Ũcio nĩwe mũndũ ũrĩa ũgaatũũra kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru, ũrĩa kĩĩhitho gĩake gĩgaakorwo kĩrĩ kĩirigo kĩrũmu kũu kĩrĩma-inĩ. Nĩakaheagwo irio ciake, na maaĩ make gũtirĩ hĩndĩ makaaga.
He shall dwell on high; The strongholds of rocks shall be his defence; His bread shall be given him; His water shall not fail.
17 Maitho maku nĩmakeyonera mũthamaki arĩ na riiri wake wothe, na wĩrorere bũrũri waramĩte, ũgatambũrũka kũraya ma.
Thine eyes shall see the king in his glory They shall survey a wide-extended land.
18 Meciiria-inĩ maku nĩũgecũrania ũhoro wa kĩmakania kĩrĩa kĩarĩ ho hau mbere, ũrie atĩrĩ: “Mũtongoria ũrĩa mũnene arĩ ha? Nake mũndũ ũrĩa wamũkagĩra mbeeca cia igooti rĩa bũrũri arĩ ha? Nake mũnene ũrĩa ũrũgamagĩrĩra mĩthiringo ĩrĩa mĩraihu na igũrũ arĩ ha?”
Thy heart shall meditate on the past terror: “Where now is the scribe? Where the weigher of tribute? Where he that numbered the towers?”
19 Andũ acio ndũrĩka ndũgacooka kũmona rĩngĩ, o acio maaragia mĩario ĩtangĩiguĩka, na makaaria na rũthiomi rũgeni rũtangĩmenyeka.
Thou shalt see no more a fierce people, A people of a dark language, which thou couldst not hear, And of a barbarous tongue, which thou couldst not understand;
20 Ta rora Zayuni, itũũra rĩrĩa inene rĩa maruga maitũ; maitho maku nĩmakona Jerusalemu, gĩikaro gĩa thayũ, nĩyo hema ĩrĩa ĩtakenyenyeka; higĩ ciayo itirĩ hĩndĩ ikaamunywo, o na kana mũkanda o na ũmwe wayo ũtuĩke.
Thou shalt see Zion, the city of our solemn feasts; Thine eyes shall behold Jerusalem, as a quiet habitation. A tent that shall never be moved, Whose stakes shall never be taken away, And whose cords shall never be broken.
21 Kũu nĩkuo Jehova Mwene-Hinya agaakorwo hamwe na ithuĩ. Nakuo kũu gũgaatuĩka ta kũndũ kwa njũũĩ njariĩ, o na tũrũũĩ, njũũĩ itakagererio marikabu cia mbaara, kana igererio marikabu iria nene cia iria-inĩ.
For there the glorious Jehovah will be to us Instead of rivers and broad streams, Which no oared galley shall pass, And no gallant ship go through.
22 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩwe wa gũtua ciira, Jehova nĩwe mũtwathi, Jehova nĩwe mũthamaki witũ: we nĩwe ũgaatũhonokia.
For Jehovah is our judge; Jehovah is our lawgiver; Jehovah is our king; it is he that will save us.
23 Mĩkanda yaku nĩmĩregeru, na mũtĩ ũrĩa mũraaya wa marikabu ti mũrũmu, naguo taama wa kũmĩtwarithia timũtambũrũku. Hĩndĩ ĩyo indo nyingĩ cia ndaho nĩ ikaagayanwo, o na andũ arĩa mathuaga nĩmagekuuĩra indo cia ndaho.
Thy ropes hang loose; They cannot hold the mast-socket, Nor can they spread the sail. Then shall a great spoil be divided; Even the lame shall take the prey.
24 Gũtirĩ mũndũ ũtũũraga Zayuni ũkoiga atĩrĩ, “Niĩ ndĩ mũrũaru”; nao andũ arĩa matũũraga kuo nĩmakarekerwo mehia mao.
No inhabitant shall say, I am sick; The people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
