< Isaia 23 >

1 Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ itũũra rĩa Turo: Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ marikabu cia Tarishishi, ta girĩkai. Nĩgũkorwo itũũra rĩa Turo nĩrĩanange, rĩgatigwo rĩtarĩ nyũmba kana gĩcukĩro kĩa marikabu. Ũhoro ũcio nĩũmakinyĩire marĩ o kũu bũrũri wa Kitimu.
The Burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, For it hath been destroyed, Without house, without entrance, From the land of Chittim it was revealed to them.
2 Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ andũ a gĩcigĩrĩra, na inyuĩ onjorithia a Sidoni, ta kirai o inyuĩ mũtongetio nĩ andũ arĩa mageragĩra iria-inĩ.
Be silent, ye inhabitants of the isle, Trader of Zidon, passing the sea, they filled thee.
3 Kũu maaĩ-inĩ maingĩ nĩkuo kwageragĩrio ngano ya Shihoru, namo magetha ma Nili nĩmo maarĩ uumithio wa itũũra rĩa Turo, narĩo rĩgĩtuĩka ndũnyũ ya ndũrĩrĩ.
And in many waters [is] the seed of Sihor, The harvest of the brook [is] her increase, And she is a mart of nations.
4 Atĩrĩrĩ wee Sidoni, o nawe, kĩĩhitho kĩrũmu kĩa iria-inĩ, conokai, nĩgũkorwo iria nĩrĩarĩtie rĩkoiga atĩrĩ: “Niĩ ndirĩ ndagĩa na ruo rwa kũrũmwo, kana ngaciara; ndirĩ ndaarera aanake, kana ngarera airĩtu.”
Be ashamed, O Zidon; for the sea spake, The strength of the sea, saying: 'I have not been pained, nor have I brought forth, Nor have I nourished young men, [nor] brought up virgins.'
5 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ũhoro ũcio ũgaakinya bũrũri wa Misiri, andũ akuo nĩmakaagĩa na ruo rũnene mũno maigua ũhoro ũcio wa Turo.
As [at] the report of Egypt they are pained, So [at] the report of Tyre.
6 Atĩrĩrĩ, ringai mũthiĩ mũrĩmo wa Tarishishi, ta girĩkai inyuĩ mũtũũraga kũu gĩcigĩrĩra-inĩ.
Pass over to Tarshish, howl, ye inhabitants of the isle,
7 Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo itũũra rĩanyu inene rĩa ikeno cia ũrĩĩu, itũũra inene rĩa kuuma tene, o tene mũno, itũũra rĩrĩa andũ aarĩo maathiĩte na magũrũ magatũũre mabũrũri ma andũ a kũraya mũno?
Is this your exulting one? From the days of old [is] her antiquity, Carry her do her own feet afar off to sojourn.
8 Nũũ waciirĩire atĩ itũũra rĩa Turo rĩũkĩrĩrwo, o itũũra rĩu rĩheanaga tanji cia ũthamaki, o rĩo onjorithia a rĩo arĩ ariũ a athamaki, na endia a rĩo marĩ igweta thĩ yothe?
Who hath counselled this against Tyre, The crowning one, whose traders [are] princes, Her merchants the honoured of earth?'
9 Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe nĩwe waciirĩire ũndũ ũcio, nĩgeetha aniine mwĩtĩĩo wa riiri wothe, na aconorithie andũ arĩa othe marĩ igweta a gũkũ thĩ.
Jehovah of Hosts hath counselled it, To pollute the excellency of all beauty, To make light all the honoured of earth.
10 Atĩrĩrĩ, wee mwarĩ wa Tarishishi, thiĩ ũkarĩme bũrũri waku o ta ũrĩa kũrĩmĩtwo hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Rũũĩ rwa Nili, tondũ rĩu ndũrĩ na gĩcukĩro kĩa marikabu rĩngĩ.
Pass through thy land as a brook, Daughter of Tarshish, there is no more a girdle.
11 Jehova nĩatambũrũkĩtie guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa iria, na agatũma mothamaki marĩo mainaine. Nĩathanĩte atĩ ciĩgitĩro iria nũmu cia Foinike cianangwo.
His hand He hath stretched out over the sea, He hath caused kingdoms to tremble, Jehovah hath charged concerning the merchant one, To destroy her strong places.
12 Akoiga atĩrĩ, “Wee mwarĩ gathirange wa Sidoni ikeno ciaku cia ũrĩĩu nĩ thiru, rĩu ũrĩ mũhehenje! “Ũkĩra ũringe, ũthiĩ ũkinye Kitimu; no rĩrĩ, o na kũu ndũkoona ũhurũko.”
And He saith, 'Thou dost not add any more to exult, O oppressed one, virgin daughter of Zidon, To Chittim arise, pass over, Even there — there is no rest for thee.'
13 Ta rora bũrũri wa Ababuloni, andũ acio rĩu maagĩĩte kĩene! Ashuri magũtuĩte gĩikaro kĩa nyamũ cia werũ; nĩmaakire mĩthiringo mĩraihu na igũrũ ya kũrĩthiũrũrũkĩria, na magĩtiga ciĩgitĩro ciao itarĩ kĩndũ, magĩtũma bũrũri ũcio wanangĩke biũ.
Lo, the land of the Chaldeans — this people was not, Asshur founded it for the Ziim, They raised its watch-towers, They lifted up her palaces, — He hath appointed her for a ruin!
14 Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ marikabu cia Tarishishi, ta girĩkai; nĩgũkorwo gĩikaro kĩanyu nĩkĩanange.
Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, For your strength hath been destroyed.
15 Hĩndĩ ĩyo itũũra rĩa Turo nĩrĩkariganĩra mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja, o ta ũrĩa matukũ ma mũthamaki ũmwe maigana. No mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja yathira-rĩ, Turo gũgaacooka kũhaana ta mũmaraya ũrĩa ũganagwo na rwĩmbo ta ũũ:
And it hath come to pass, in that day, That forgotten is Tyre seventy years, According to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years there is to Tyre as the song of the harlot.
16 “Oya kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto, ũtuĩkanie itũũra inene, wee mũmaraya ũyũ ũtũũrĩte ũriganĩire; Hũũra kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto wega, ũine nyĩmbo nyingĩ, nĩgeetha ũririkanwo.”
Take a harp, go round the city, O forgotten harlot, play well, Multiply song that thou mayest be remembered.
17 Mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja yathira-rĩ, Jehova nĩagacookerera Turo. Itũũra rĩu nĩrĩgacooka wĩra-inĩ warĩo ũcio ũrehaga uumithio ta rĩkũhũũra ũmaraya, rĩonjorithanagie na mothamaki mothe ma thĩ.
And it hath come to pass, At the end of seventy years Jehovah inspecteth Tyre, And she hath repented of her gift, That she committed fornication With all kingdoms of the earth on the face of the ground.
18 No rĩrĩ, wonjorithia warĩo na uumithio warĩo nĩikamũrĩrwo Jehova; itikaigwo igĩĩna-inĩ kana ihithwo. Uumithio warĩo ũgaatuĩka wa arĩa matũũraga marongoragia Jehova, moonage irio nyingĩ na nguo njega.
And her merchandise and her gift have been holy to Jehovah, Not treasured up nor stored, For to those sitting before Jehovah is her merchandise, To eat to satiety, and for a lasting covering!
