< Isaia 18 >
1 Kaĩ bũrũri ũrĩa ũrĩ ibatabata rĩa mathagu, o ũcio ũrĩ mũrĩmo ũrĩa ũngĩ wa njũũĩ cia Kushi, ũrĩ na haaro-ĩ!
Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
2 ũrĩa ũtũmaga arekio makagerera njĩra ya iria, mahaicĩte tũtarũ twakĩtwo na marura, tũrĩa tũgeragĩra maaĩ igũrũ. Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ andũ aya mũtũmĩtwo na mũrĩ mĩtũkĩ, thiĩi kũrĩ andũ araihu na anyoroku mĩĩrĩ, o acio metigĩrĩtwo nĩ andũ a kũndũ gũkuhĩ na a kũraya, rũrĩrĩ rũũgiti rwaragia rũthiomi rũgeni, na bũrũri wao ũgayanĩtio nĩ njũũĩ.
That sends ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, all of you swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning until now; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
3 Inyuĩ andũ arĩa mũtũũraga mabũrũri mothe ma thĩ, o inyuĩ mũtũũraga gũkũ thĩ-rĩ, rĩrĩa bendera ĩkaahaandwo irĩma-igũrũ, nĩmũkamĩona, na rĩrĩa karumbeta gakaahuhwo, nĩmũgakaigua.
All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see all of you, when he lifts up an explicit sign on the mountains; and when he blows a trumpet, hear all of you.
4 Jehova anjĩĩrĩte ũũ: “Ngũikara ngirĩte ki ndĩĩrorere maũndũ ndĩ o gĩikaro-inĩ gĩakwa, haana ta ũrugarĩ wa riũa ũkũhenahenia, o na ta itu rĩa ime hĩndĩ ya ũrugarĩ wa magetha.”
For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
5 Nĩgũkorwo mbere ya magetha, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa kĩro gĩaitĩka na mahũa magatuĩka thabibũ irerua, nĩguo agaaceeha thuuna na tũhiũ twa gũceeha, na ateme honge iria ciaramĩte mũno acieherie.
For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
6 Nacio ciothe igaatigĩrwo nyoni cia irĩma-inĩ iria irĩĩaga nyama, na nyamũ cia gĩthaka; nyoni icio igaacirĩa hĩndĩ ya riũa, nacio nyamũ cia gĩthaka icirĩe hĩndĩ ya heho yothe.
They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
7 Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩguo Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe akaareherwo iheo kuuma kũrĩ andũ araihu na anyoroku mĩĩrĩ, na kuuma kũrĩ andũ metigĩrĩtwo nĩ andũ a kũndũ gũkuhĩ na a kũraya, rũrĩrĩ rũũgiti rwaragia rũthiomi rũgeni, arĩa bũrũri wao ũgayanĩtio nĩ njũũĩ: iheo icio ikaarehwo Kĩrĩma-inĩ gĩa Zayuni, harĩa haamũrĩirwo Rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe.
In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning until now; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
