< Isaia 15 >

1 Atĩrĩrĩ, ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ Moabi: Itũũra rĩa Ari kũu Moabi nĩrĩanange, rĩkaanangwo ũtukũ o ro ũmwe! Itũũra rĩa Kiri kũu Moabi nĩrĩanange, o narĩo rĩanangĩtwo ũtukũ o ro ũmwe!
A message about Moab. The town of Ar in Moab is devastated, destroyed in a single night! The town of Kir in Moab is devastated, destroyed in a single night!
2 Andũ a Diboni nĩmambatĩte magathiĩ hekarũ-inĩ yao, mambatĩte kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru makarĩrĩre kuo; andũ a Moabi maraagirĩka nĩ ũndũ wa Nebo na Medeba. Mĩtwe yao yothe nĩyenjetwo, na nderu ciao ciothe ikenjwo.
The people of Dibon go up to their temple to weep at its high places. The Moabites weep over the towns of Nebo and Medeba. Every head has been shaved, every beard has been cut off in mourning.
3 Marĩ njĩra-inĩ marathiĩ mehumbĩte nguo cia makũnia; othe no kũgirĩka maragirĩka marĩ nyũmba igũrũ na ihaaro-inĩ, makagũa thĩ, magakoma na nda makĩrĩraga.
They wear sackcloth in their streets. On the rooftops and in the open squares they all weep, falling down crying.
4 Heshiboni na Eleale nĩkũrĩra maraarĩra maanĩrĩire, mĩgambo yao ĩraiguuo o nginya Jahazu. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio andũ a mbaara a Moabi nĩmararĩra maanĩrĩire, nacio ngoro ciao ikaringĩka.
The people of Heshbon and Elealeh cry out in sadness, their voices heard as far as Jahaz. That's why even the bravest soldiers of Moab shout—because they're so terrified.
I weep over Moab. Moabite refugees run all the way to Zoar and to Eglath-shelishiyah. Weeping they go up Luhith hill; crying for their destruction they walk along the road to Horonaim.
6 Maaĩ ma kũu Nimurimu nĩmahũĩte, nayo nyeki nĩĩhoohete; namo mahuti mothe maigũ nĩmomĩte, na gũtirĩ kĩndũ kĩĩruru gĩtigaire.
The waters of Nimrim have all dried up. The grass is withered, all the vegetation has disappeared—nothing green is left.
7 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ũtonga ũrĩa magĩte naguo na makeigĩra, maũkuuĩte makaũringia mũrĩmo wa karũũĩ karĩa karĩ mĩtĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ ciako.
Everything they had gained, all their possessions, they have to carry across Willow River.
8 Kayũ ka mũkayo wao nĩkaiguĩtwo mĩhaka-inĩ ya Moabi; nakuo kũgirĩka kwao gũgakinya Egilaimu, o namo macakaya mao magakinya o Biri-Elimu.
Their cry of grief echoes through the whole country of Moab; their wailing and mourning extends all the way from Eglaim to Beer-elim.
9 Maaĩ ma Dimoni maiyũrĩtwo nĩ thakame, no nĩngũrehe maũndũ mangĩ mooru makĩria kũu Dimoni, mahaana ta mũrũũthi ũgũtharĩkĩra andũ arĩa morĩte kuuma Moabi, o na ũtharĩkĩre arĩa matigaire kũu bũrũri-inĩ.
River Dimon is full of blood, but I will bring more upon the town of Dimon—a lion to attack the Moabite refugees and those who are left in the country.
