1 No rĩrĩ, Ngai nĩaririkanire Nuhu o hamwe na nyamũ ciothe cia gĩthaka o na mahiũ marĩa mothe aarĩ namo thĩinĩ wa thabina, na agĩtũma rũhuho rũhurutane gũkũ thĩ, namo maaĩ makĩambĩrĩria kũhũa.

Acordose Dios de Noé y de todas las fieras y de todas las bestias que con él estaban en el arca; e hizo Dios pasar un viento sobre la tierra, y bajaron las aguas.

2 Nacio ithima cia kũrĩa kũriku na ihingo cia mũiyũro wa igũrũ ikĩhingwo, nayo mbura ĩgĩtiga kuura.

Entonces se cerraron las fuentes del abismo y las cataratas del cielo, y se detuvo la lluvia del cielo.

Después soltó Noé una paloma, para ver si se habían retirado ya las aguas de la superficie terrestre.

9 No ndutura ĩyo ndĩonire handũ ha kũũmba tondũ thĩ yothe yaiyũrĩtwo nĩ maaĩ; nĩ ũndũ ũcio ĩgĩcooka thabina-inĩ kũrĩ Nuhu. Nake agĩtambũrũkia guoko akĩmĩoya, akĩmĩtoonyia thabina thĩinĩ kũu we aarĩ.

Mas como la paloma no hallase donde poner la planta de su pie, tornó hacia él, al arca, porque había todavía agua sobre toda la tierra; y alargando él su mano, la asió y la metió consigo en el arca.

10 Ningĩ agĩeterera matukũ mangĩ mũgwanja, na maathira akĩrekereria ndutura rĩngĩ yume nja ya thabina.

Esperó otros siete días y soltó de nuevo la paloma fuera del arca.

11 Rĩrĩa ndutura ĩyo yamũcookereire hwaĩ-inĩ-rĩ, yakuuĩte ithangũ rĩa mũtamaiyũ na mũkanye wayo, rĩatuĩtwo o hĩndĩ ĩyo! Nuhu agĩkĩmenya atĩ maaĩ nĩmahũĩte thĩ.

La paloma volvió a él al atardecer, y he aquí que traía en su pico hoja verde de olivo, por donde conoció Noé que las aguas se habían retirado de la tierra.

12 Nuhu agĩeterera matukũ mangĩ mũgwanja, agĩcooka akĩrekereria ndutura ĩyo yume nja rĩngĩ, no hĩndĩ ĩno ndĩigana kũmũcookerera.

Esperó todavía otros siete días y soltó la paloma, la cual no volvió más a él.

13 Na rĩrĩ, mũthenya wa mbere, mweri wa mbere wa mwaka ũrĩa Nuhu akinyirie mĩaka magana matandatũ na ũmwe-rĩ, mũthenya ũcio nĩguo maaĩ maahũire biũ gũkũ thĩ. Nake Nuhu akĩeheria kĩrĩa kĩagitĩte thabina, agĩkĩona atĩ thĩ nĩyaniarĩte.

El año seiscientos uno, el día primero del primer mes, ya no había aguas sobre la tierra, y abriendo Noé la cubierta del arca miró y vio que estaba seca la superficie del suelo.

14 Gũgĩkinya mũthenya wa mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ na mũgwanja wa mweri wa keerĩ-rĩ, thĩ nĩyaniarĩte biũ.

En el mes segundo, a los veintisiete días del mes, quedó seca la tierra.

15 Ningĩ Ngai akĩĩra Nuhu atĩrĩ,

Habló entonces Dios a Noé, y dijo:

16 “Uma thabina, wee na mũtumia waku, na ariũ aku na atumia ao.

“Sal del arca, tú, y contigo tu mujer, tus hijos y las mujeres de tus hijos.

Y sacarás contigo todos los animales de toda carne que te acompaña, aves, bestias y todos los reptiles que se arrastran en el suelo; pululen sobre la tierra y sean fecundos y se multipliquen sobre la tierra.”

18 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Nuhu akiuma thabina hamwe na ariũ ake, na mũtumia wake, na atumia a ariũ ake.

Salió, pues, Noé, y con él sus hijos, su mujer y las mujeres de sus hijos.

Después erigió Noé un altar a Yahvé, y tomando de todos los animales puros, y de todas las aves puras, ofreció holocaustos en el altar.

Mientras dure la tierra, no cesarán (de sucederse) sementera y siega, frío y calor, verano e invierno, día y noche.
