1 Nake Jusufu agĩkĩĩgũithia thĩ mbere ya ithe, akĩmũrĩrĩra na akĩmũmumunya.
Then Ioseph fell vpon his fathers face and wept vpon him, and kissed him.
2 Ningĩ agĩcooka agĩatha athondekani arĩa maarĩ ndungata ciake mathondeke mwĩrĩ wa ithe Isiraeli nĩguo ndũkabuthe. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio athondekani makĩmũthondeka,
And Ioseph commanded his seruantes the physicions, to enbaume his father, and the physicions enbaumed Israel.
3 handũ ha ihinda rĩa thikũ mĩrongo ĩna, tondũ rĩu nĩrĩo ihinda rĩrĩa rĩabatarainie rĩa kũũthondeka. Nao andũ a Misiri makĩmũcakaĩra matukũ mĩrongo mũgwanja.
So fourtie dayes were accomplished (for so long did the dayes of them that were enbaumed last) and the Egyptians bewayled him seuentie dayes.
4 Namo matukũ ma kũmũcakaĩra maathira-rĩ, Jusufu akĩĩra kĩama kĩa Firaũni atĩrĩ, “Angĩkorwo nĩnjĩtĩkĩrĩkĩte maitho-inĩ manyu-rĩ, njarĩrĩriai kũrĩ Firaũni. Mwĩrei atĩrĩ,
And when the dayes of his mourning were past, Ioseph spake to the house of Pharaoh, saying, If I haue nowe found fauour in your eyes, speake, I pray you, in the eares of Pharaoh, and say,
5 ‘Baba nĩatũmire ndĩĩhĩte na mwĩhĩtwa, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Ndĩ hakuhĩ gũkua; na ndakua ũgaathika mbĩrĩra-inĩ ĩrĩa niĩ mwene ndeyenjeire bũrũri-inĩ wa Kaanani.” Rĩu rekei nyambate thiĩ ngathike baba; na nĩngũcooka hũndũke.’”
My father made me sweare, saying, Loe, I die, bury me in my graue, which I haue made me in the land of Canaan: now therefore let me go, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I wil come againe.
6 Nake Firaũni akĩmũtũmanĩra, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Ambata, ũthiĩ ũgathike thoguo, o ta ũrĩa aatũmire wĩhĩte.”
Then Pharaoh said, Goe vp and bury thy father, as he made thee to sweare.
7 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Jusufu akĩambata agĩthiĩ gũthika ithe. Nao anene othe a Firaũni magĩthiĩ nake, andũ a gĩtĩĩo othe a kĩama kĩa Firaũni o na andũ arĩa atĩĩku a Misiri othe,
So Ioseph went vp to bury his father, and with him went all the seruants of Pharaoh, both the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt.
8 o hamwe na andũ othe a nyũmba ya Jusufu, na ariũ a ithe, na arĩa othe maarĩ a nyũmba ya ithe. No ciana ciki na ndũũru ciao cia mbũri na cia ngʼombe ciatigĩtwo Gosheni.
Likewise all the house of Ioseph, and his brethren, and his fathers house: onely their children, and their sheepe, and their cattell left they in the land of Goshen.
9 Thigari cia ngaari cia ita na cia mbarathi o na cio igĩthiĩ nake. Kĩarĩ gĩkundi kĩnene mũno kĩa andũ.
And there went vp with him both charets and horsemen: and they were an exceeding great company.
10 Nao maakinya ihuhĩro-inĩ rĩa ngano rĩa Atadi, hakuhĩ na Jorodani, makĩrĩra manĩrĩire marĩ na ruo; na hau Jusufu agĩcakaĩra ithe matukũ mũgwanja.
And they came to Goren Atad, which is beyond Iorden, and there they made a great and exceeding sore lamentation: and he mourned for his father seuen dayes.
11 Na rĩrĩa Akaanani arĩa maatũũraga kũu moonire macakaya macio hau ihuhĩro-inĩ rĩa ngano rĩa Atadi, makĩĩrana atĩrĩ, “Andũ a Misiri marĩ na igongona rĩa macakaya ma kĩeha.” Na nĩkĩo handũ hau hakuhĩ na Jorodani heetagwo Abeli-Miziraimu.
And when the Canaanites the inhabitants of the lande sawe the mourning in Goren Atad, they sayde, This is a great mourning vnto the Egyptians: wherefore the name thereof was called Abel Mizraim, which is beyond Iorden.
12 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ariũ a Jakubu magĩĩka o ũrĩa aamaathĩte:
So his sonnes did vnto him, according as he had commanded them:
13 Makĩmũkuua makĩmũtwara bũrũri wa Kaanani, na makĩmũthika ngurunga-inĩ ĩrĩa yarĩ gĩthaka-inĩ kĩa Makipela, hakuhĩ na Mamure, ĩrĩa Iburahĩmu aagũranĩirie na gĩthaka kĩu kĩrĩ handũ ha gũthikanwo kuuma kũrĩ Efironi ũrĩa Mũhiti.
For his sonnes caried him into the lande of Canaan, and buried him in the caue of the fielde of Machpelah, which caue Abraham bought with the fielde, to be a place to bury in, of Ephron the Hittite besides Mamre.
14 Thuutha wa gũthika ithe-rĩ, Jusufu agĩcooka Misiri hamwe na ariũ a ithe na arĩa othe maathiĩte nake gũthika ithe.
Then Ioseph returned into Egypt, he and his brethren, and al that went vp with him to bury his father, after that he had buried his father.
15 Na rĩrĩa ariũ a ithe moonire atĩ ithe wao nĩakua, makiuga atĩrĩ, “Ĩ angĩkorwo Jusufu nĩatũũire atũiguagĩra ũũru, na atũrĩhie maũru marĩa mothe twamwĩkire?”
And when Iosephs brethren saw that their father was dead, they sayde, It may be that Ioseph will hate vs, and will pay vs againe all the euill, which we did vnto him.
16 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio magĩtũmana kũrĩ Jusufu makiuga atĩrĩ, “Thoguo atanakua nĩatigire oiga atĩrĩ:
Therefore they sent vnto Ioseph, saying, Thy father commanded before his death, saying,
17 ‘Ũũ nĩguo mũkeera Jusufu: ndagũthaitha ũrekere ariũ a thoguo mehia na mahĩtia marĩa meekire nĩ ũndũ nĩmagwĩkire ũũru mũno.’ Na rĩu twagũthaitha wohere ndungata cia Ngai wa thoguo mehia macio.” Na rĩrĩa ndũmĩrĩri yao yamũkinyĩire, Jusufu akĩrĩra.
Thus shall ye say vnto Ioseph, Forgiue now, I pray thee, the trespasse of thy brethren, and their sinne: for they rewarded thee euil. And nowe, we pray thee, forgiue the trespasse of the seruants of thy fathers God. And Ioseph wept, when they spake vnto him.
18 Ariũ a ithe magĩcooka magĩthiĩ kũrĩ we, makĩĩgũithia thĩ mbere yake, makiuga atĩrĩ, “Tũrĩ ngombo ciaku.”
Also his brethren came vnto him, and fell downe before his face, and sayde, Beholde, we be thy seruants.
19 No Jusufu akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Tigai gwĩtigĩra. Kaĩ niĩ akĩrĩ niĩ Ngai?
To whome Ioseph sayde, Feare not: for am not I vnder God?
20 Inyuĩ mwaciirĩte kũnjĩka ũũru, no Ngai aanjiirĩire ũndũ mwega nĩguo akinyanĩrie ũrĩa kũrekĩka rĩu, ũhoro wa kũhonokia mĩoyo ya andũ aingĩ.
When ye thought euill against mee, God disposed it to good, that he might bring to passe, as it is this day, and saue much people aliue.
21 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, mũtigetigĩre. Nĩndĩĩmũheaga irio cianyu na cia ciana cianyu.” Nake akĩmomĩrĩria na akĩmarĩria wega.
Feare not nowe therefore, I will nourish you, and your children: and hee comforted them, and spake kindly vnto them.
22 Jusufu agĩikara Misiri, hamwe na andũ othe a nyũmba ya ithe. Aatũũrire muoyo mĩaka igana rĩmwe na ikũmi,
So Ioseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his fathers house: and Ioseph liued an hundreth and tenne yeere.
23 na akĩona rũciaro rwa gatatũ rwa ciana cia Efiraimu. O na ciana cia Makiru mũrũ wa Manase ciaciarwo nĩciaigĩrĩirwo maru-inĩ ma Jusufu.
And Ioseph saw Ephraims children, euen vnto the third generation: also the sonnes of Machir the sonne of Manasseh were brought vp on Iosephs knees.
24 Ningĩ Jusufu akĩĩra ariũ a ithe atĩrĩ, “Ndĩ hakuhĩ gũkua. No rĩrĩ, ti-itherũ Ngai nĩagooka kũmũrora amũteithie na amũrute kuuma bũrũri ũyũ, amũtware bũrũri ũrĩa erĩire Iburahĩmu, na Isaaka na Jakubu na mwĩhĩtwa.”
And Ioseph sayd vnto his brethren, I am ready to dye, and God will surely visite you, and bring you out of this land, vnto ye land which hee sware vnto Abraham, vnto Izhak, and vnto Iaakob.
25 Nake Jusufu agĩtũma ariũ a Isiraeli mehĩte na mwĩhĩtwa, akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ti-itherũ Ngai nĩagooka kũmũteithia, na hĩndĩ ĩyo yakinya no nginya mũgaakuua mahĩndĩ makwa kuuma kũndũ gũkũ.”
And Ioseph tooke an othe of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visite you, and ye shall cary my bones hence.
26 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Jusufu agĩkua, arĩ na ũkũrũ wa mĩaka igana rĩmwe na ikũmi. Thuutha wa kũmũthondeka ndakabuthe, makĩmũiga ithandũkũ-inĩ rĩa gũthikwo narĩo o kũu Misiri.
So Ioseph died, when he was an hundreth and ten yere olde: and they enbaumed him and put him in a chest in Egypt.
