1 Mwaka-inĩ wa ikũmi na ũmwe, mũthenya wa mbere wa mweri, kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
And it comes to pass, in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, there has been a word of YHWH to me, saying, “Son of man,
2 “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, tondũ Turo riugĩte atĩrĩ ũhoro wa Jerusalemu, ‘Aha! Kĩhingo gĩa gũtoonya kwa ndũrĩrĩ nĩkiunange, na niĩ ngahingũrĩrwo mĩrango yarĩo; rĩu tondũ nĩ kwanangĩtwo-rĩ, nĩngũgaacĩra,’
Because that Tyre has said of Jerusalem: Aha, she has been broken, The doors of the peoples, She has turned around to me, I am filled—she has been laid waste,
3 nĩ ũndũ ũcio Mwathani Jehova oigĩte ũũ: Nĩngũgũũkĩrĩra wee Turo, na nĩngarehe ndũrĩrĩ nyingĩ igũũkĩrĩre, ta iria rĩgĩikia makũmbĩ marĩo na igũrũ.
Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, O Tyre, And have caused many nations to come up against you, As the sea causes its billows to come up.
4 Nĩmakananga thingo cia Turo, na mamomore mĩthiringo yarĩo ĩrĩa mĩraihu na igũrũ; nĩngate kagoto karĩo na ndĩgũtue rwaro rwa ihiga itheri.
And they have destroyed the walls of Tyre, And they have broken down her towers, And I have scraped her dust from her, And made her for a clear place of a rock.
5 Kũu iria-inĩ gũgaatuĩka kũndũ gwa gũtambũrũkĩria nga cia gũtega thamaki, nĩgũkorwo ũhoro ũcio nĩ niĩ njarĩtie, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga. Narĩo itũũra rĩu rĩgaatuĩka rĩa gũtahwo nĩ ndũrĩrĩ,
She is a spreading place of nets in the midst of the sea, For I have spoken,” A declaration of Lord YHWH, “And she has been for a spoil to nations.
6 nakuo kũndũ kwarĩo kũrĩa gũtũũragwo kũu bũrũri-thĩinĩ nĩgũkaniinwo na rũhiũ rwa njora. Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩmakamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova.
And her daughters who [are] in the field, are slain by sword, And they have known that I [am] YHWH,”
For thus said Lord YHWH: “Behold, I am bringing Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Tyre, From the north—a king of kings, With horse, and with chariot, and with horsemen, Even an assembly, and a numerous people.
8 Nĩakananga kũndũ gwaku gwa gũtũũrwo kũu bũrũri-inĩ na rũhiũ rwa njora, na arute wĩra wa gũkũrigiicĩria, agũũkĩrĩre, aakithie ihumbu nginya thingo-inĩ ciaku, na ambararie ngo ciake agũũkĩrĩre.
He slays your daughters in the field by sword, And he has made a fort against you, And has poured out a mound against you, And has raised a buckler against you.
9 Nĩakoonereria nditi ya mĩgogo amomore thingo ciaku, na amomore mĩthiringo yaku ĩrĩa mĩraihu na igũrũ na indo ciake cia mbaara.
And he places a battering-ram before him against your walls, And he breaks your towers with his weapons.
10 Mbarathi ciake igaakorwo irĩ nyingĩ ũũ atĩ nĩigagũthika na rũkũngũ. Thingo ciaku nĩikainaina nĩ ũndũ wa inegene rĩa mbarathi cia mbaara, na makaari, na ngaari cia ita hĩndĩ ĩrĩa agaatoonyera ihingo-inĩ ciaku ta ũrĩa andũ matoonyaga itũũra inene rĩrĩa thingo imomoretwo.
From the abundance of his horses their dust cover you, From the noise of horseman, and wheel, and rider, Your walls shake, in his coming into your gates, As the coming into a city that has been broken-up.
11 Mahũngũ ma mbarathi ciake nĩmakaranga njĩra ciaku ciothe; nĩakooraga andũ aku na rũhiũ rwa njora, nacio itugĩ ciaku cia hinya nĩikaagũa thĩ.
He treads all your out-places with [the] hooves of his horses, He slays your people by sword, And the pillars of your strength come down to the earth.
12 Nĩmagagũtaha ũtonga waku na magũtunye indo ciaku cia wonjoria; nĩmakamomora thingo ciaku na matharie nyũmba ciaku iria njega, na maikie mahiga maku, na mbaũ, o na kagoto iria-inĩ.
And they have spoiled your wealth, And they have plundered your merchandise, And they have thrown down your walls, And they break down your desirable houses, And your stones, and your wood, and your dust, They place in the midst of the waters.
13 Nĩngakinyia inegene rĩa nyĩmbo ciaku mũthia, na mũgambo wa inanda ciaku cia mũgeeto ndũkaiguuo rĩngĩ.
And I have caused the noise of your songs to cease, And the voice of your harps is heard no more.
14 Nĩngatũma ũtuĩke rwaro rwa ihiga itheri, na nĩũgatuĩka handũ ha gũtambũrũkĩrio nga cia gũtega thamaki. Ndũgacooka gwakwo rĩngĩ, nĩ ũndũ niĩ Jehova nĩ niĩ njarĩtie ũhoro ũcio, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga.
And I have given you up for a clear place of a rock, You are a spreading-place of nets, You are not built up anymore, For I, YHWH, have spoken,” A declaration of Lord YHWH.
15 “Mwathani Jehova ekwĩra Turo atĩrĩ: Mabũrũri marĩa marĩ ndwere-inĩ cia iria githĩ matikainaina nĩ mũrurumo wa kũgũa gwaku, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa arĩa magurarĩtio magaacaaya, nayo njũragano yũraganwo thĩinĩ waku?
Thus said Lord YHWH to Tyre: “Do not—from the noise of your fall, In the groaning of the wounded, In the slaying of the slaughter in your midst—The islands shake?
16 Ningĩ anene othe arĩa marĩ ndwere-inĩ cia iria nĩmakehera itĩ-inĩ ciao cia ũnene, na marute nguo ciao iria ndaaya, na marute nguo ciao iria ngʼemie. Mahumbĩtwo kĩmako, magaikara thĩ makĩinainaga mahinda mothe, maguoyohetio nĩwe.
And all princes of the sea have come down from off their thrones, And they have turned their robes aside, And strip off their embroidered garments, They put on trembling, They sit on the earth, And they have trembled every moment, And they have been astonished at you,
17 Hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩmakoerera icakaya rĩgũkoniĩ, makwĩre atĩrĩ: “‘Kaĩ ũrĩ mwanange-ĩ, o wee itũũra rĩrĩ igweta, o wee watũũragwo nĩ andũ arĩa maathiiaga iria-inĩ-ĩ! Wee nĩwe warĩ na ũhoti kũu iria-inĩ, wee na atũũri aku; nĩwatũmaga arĩa othe maatũũraga kuo manyiitwo nĩ guoya.
And have lifted up a lamentation for you, And said to you: How you have perished, That are inhabited from the seas, The praised city, that was strong in the sea, She and her inhabitants, Who put their terror on all her inhabitants!
18 Rĩu-rĩ, mabũrũri marĩa marĩ ndwere-inĩ cia iria nĩmakainaina mũthenya wa kũgũa gwaku; icigĩrĩra cia iria-inĩ nĩikamakio nĩ kũmomoka gwaku.’
Now the islands tremble [on the] day of your fall; The islands that [are] in the sea have been troubled at your outgoing.”
19 “Mwathani Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ngaatũma ũtuĩke itũũra inene rĩtiganĩirio, ũhaane ta matũũra manene marĩa matatũũragwo, na hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ngaareka ũriku wa iria ũkũhumbĩre, naguo ũingĩ wa maaĩ marĩo ũgũthike-rĩ,
For thus said Lord YHWH: “In My making you a city dried up, Like cities that have not been inhabited, In bringing up the deep against you, Then the great waters have covered you.
20 hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩguo ngaagũikũrũkia hamwe na arĩa maikũrũkagio irima-inĩ harĩ andũ arĩa a tene. Nĩngatũma ũtũũre mũhuro wa thĩ, ta kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũrĩte gũkirĩte ihooru o kuuma tene, hamwe na arĩa maikũrũkagio irima-inĩ, nawe ndũgacooka kana ũikare gũkũ bũrũri-inĩ wa arĩa marĩ muoyo.
And I have caused you to go down, With those going down to the pit, To the people of old, And I have caused you to dwell In the lower parts of the earth—in ancient ruins, With those going down to the pit, So that you are not inhabited, And I have given beauty in the land of the living.
21 Nĩngatũma ũrĩkĩrĩrie na kĩmako kĩnene, nawe ndũgacooka kuonwo rĩngĩ. Ũgaacaragio na ndũgacooka kuoneka, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga.”
I make you a terror, and you are not, And you are sought, and are not found anymore—for all time,” A declaration of Lord YHWH!
