< Ezekieli 24 >

1 Mwaka-inĩ wa kenda, mũthenya wa ikũmi wa mweri wa ikũmi, kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
Again, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, andĩka mũthenya wa ũmũthĩ nĩ tarĩki ciigana, o ũyũ wa ũmũthĩ, tondũ mũthenya ũyũ wa ũmũthĩ mũthamaki wa Babuloni nĩarigiicĩirie Jerusalemu.
“Son of man, write the name of the day, this same day. The king of Babylon drew close to Jerusalem this same day.
3 Arĩria andũ aya a nyũmba ĩno nemi na ngerekano, ũmeere atĩrĩ, ‘Mwathani Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: “‘Hagĩra nyũngũ ya kũruga; mĩhagĩre na ũmĩitĩrĩre maaĩ.
Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says, “Put the cauldron on the fire. Put it on, and also pour water into it.
4 Ĩkĩra icunjĩ cia nyama thĩinĩ wayo, icunjĩ ciothe iria njega, ta cia kũgũrũ na guoko. Mĩiyũrie na mahĩndĩ marĩa mega mũno;
Gather its pieces into it, even every good piece: the thigh and the shoulder. Fill it with the choice bones.
5 oya nyamũ ĩrĩa njega mũno rũũru-inĩ. Igĩrĩra ngũ rungu rwayo nĩ ũndũ wa mahĩndĩ; reke ĩtherũke, namo mahĩndĩ mahĩĩre o kũu thĩinĩ wayo.
Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under the cauldron. Make it boil well. Yes, let its bones be boiled within it.”
6 “‘Nĩgũkorwo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: “‘Kaĩ itũũra rĩu inene rĩitithagia thakame rĩrĩ na haro-ĩ, o na nyũngũ ĩyo ĩrĩ na mũcura, ĩrĩa gĩkũrĩ kĩayo gĩtangĩthira! Mĩonorie kĩrungʼo, o kĩrungʼo, itegũcuukĩrwo mĩtĩ.
“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city, to the cauldron whose rust is in it, and whose rust hasn’t gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece without casting lots for it.
7 “‘Nĩgũkorwo thakame ĩrĩa rĩitithĩtie ĩrĩ o thĩinĩ warĩo: Rĩamĩitire o kũu rwaro-inĩ rwa ihiga itheri; rĩtiamĩitire tĩĩri-inĩ, harĩa rũkũngũ rũngĩamĩthikire.
“‘“For the blood she shed is in the middle of her. She set it on the bare rock. She didn’t pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust.
8 Nĩgeetha njarahũre mangʼũrĩ na ndĩĩrĩhĩrie-rĩ, ndaitire thakame yarĩo rwaro-inĩ rwa ihiga itheri, nĩguo ndĩgathikwo.
That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood on the bare rock, that it should not be covered.”
9 “‘Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, ũũ nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga: “‘Kaĩ itũũra rĩu inene rĩitithagia thakame rĩrĩ na haaro-ĩ! O na niĩ nĩngacookanĩrĩria ngũ hĩba ndaaya na igũrũ.
“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.
10 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio iganĩrĩra ngũ, na wakie mwaki. Ruga nyama icio wega, na ũtukanie na indo cia gũcamia wega; namo mahĩndĩ ũreke macure.
Heap on the wood. Make the fire hot. Boil the meat well. Make the broth thick, and let the bones be burned.
11 Ningĩ ũhagĩre nyũngũ ĩyo theri makara-inĩ, nginya ĩhiũhe na gĩcango kĩayo gĩtunĩhe, nĩguo gĩko kĩayo gĩtweke, na gĩkũrĩ kĩayo gĩcinwo, gĩthire.
Then set it empty on its coals, that it may be hot, and its bronze may burn, and that its filthiness may be molten in it, that its rust may be consumed.
12 Nĩkĩremete njĩra ciothe; gĩkũrĩ kĩu kĩayo ti kĩrute, o na gĩacinwo na mwaki.
She is weary with toil; yet her great rust, rust by fire, doesn’t leave her.
13 “‘Rĩu-rĩ, gĩko gĩaku nĩ ũũra-thoni. Tondũ ngeretie gũgũtheria, no wee ndũngĩthera gĩko gĩaku, wee ndũngĩthera rĩngĩ nginya mangʼũrĩ makwa ma gũgũũkĩrĩra makahũahũa.
“‘“In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you and you weren’t cleansed, you won’t be cleansed from your filthiness any more, until I have caused my wrath toward you to rest.
14 “‘Niĩ Jehova nĩnjarĩtie. Ihinda nĩikinyu njĩke ũndũ. Ndikerigĩrĩria; na ndikaiguanĩra tha kana ndĩĩricũkwo. Ũgaatuĩrwo ciira kũringana na mĩtugo yaku, na ciĩko ciaku, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga.’”
“‘“I, the LORD, have spoken it. It will happen, and I will do it. I won’t go back. I won’t spare. I won’t repent. According to your ways and according to your doings, they will judge you,” says the Lord GOD.’”
15 Kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
Also the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
16 “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, atĩrĩ, ndĩ hakuhĩ gũkwehereria kĩrĩa gĩkenagia maitho maku mũno na igũtha o rĩmwe. No rĩrĩ, ndũgacakae kana ũrĩre, o na kana ũite maithori.
“Son of man, behold, I will take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke; yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, neither shall your tears run down.
Sigh, but not aloud. Make no mourning for the dead. Bind your headdress on you, and put your sandals on your feet. Don’t cover your lips, and don’t eat mourner’s bread.”
18 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ngĩrooka kwarĩria andũ rũciinĩ, na hwaĩ-inĩ ũcio mũtumia wakwa agĩkua. Rũciinĩ rũrũ rũngĩ ngĩĩka o ta ũrĩa ndaathĩtwo njĩke.
So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. So I did in the morning as I was commanded.
19 Nao andũ acio makĩnjũũria atĩrĩ, “Kaĩ ũtangĩtwĩra ũhoro wa maũndũ maya na ũrĩa matũkoniĩ?”
The people asked me, “Won’t you tell us what these things mean to us, that you act like this?”
20 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ngĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
Then I said to them, “The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
21 Ĩra andũ a nyũmba ya Isiraeli atĩrĩ, ‘Ũũ nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga: Ngirie gũthaahia handũ-hakwa-harĩa-haamũre, hau gĩikaro kĩa hinya kĩrĩa mwĩtĩĩaga nakĩo, o kĩu gĩkenagia maitho manyu, kĩrĩa mwendete. Ariũ na aarĩ anyu arĩa mwatigire na thuutha makaaniinwo na rũhiũ rwa njora.
‘Speak to the house of Israel, “The Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.
22 Na inyuĩ nĩmũgeeka o ta ũguo niĩ njĩkĩte. Mũtikehumbĩra kanua kana mũrĩe irio cia mũtugo wa hĩndĩ ya macakaya.
You will do as I have done. You won’t cover your lips or eat mourner’s bread.
23 Nĩmũgaikara mwĩohete iremba mĩtwe na mwĩkĩrĩte iraatũ magũrũ. Mũtigacakaya kana mũrĩre, no nĩmũkahwererekera tondũ wa mehia manyu na mũcaayage thĩinĩ wanyu.
Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You won’t mourn or weep; but you will pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.
24 Ezekieli agaatuĩka rũũri harĩ inyuĩ; mũgeeka o ta ũguo we ekĩte. Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa maũndũ macio mageekĩka-rĩ, nĩrĩo mũkaamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Mwathani Jehova.’
Thus Ezekiel will be a sign to you; according to all that he has done, you will do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’”’”
“You, son of man, shouldn’t it be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart—their sons and their daughters—
26 mũthenya ũcio mũndũ ũũrĩte kwao nĩagakũrehera ũhoro.
that in that day he who escapes will come to you, to cause you to hear it with your ears?
27 Hĩndĩ ĩyo kanua gaku nĩgagatumũka; nĩũkaria nake, na ndũgacooka gũkira. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio wee ũgaatuĩka rũũri harĩo, nao nĩmakamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova.”
In that day your mouth will be opened to him who has escaped, and you will speak and be no more mute. So you will be a sign to them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
