Ezekieli 22
1 Kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
2 “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, nĩũkũrĩtuĩra ciira? Nĩũgũtuĩra ciira itũũra rĩĩrĩ inene rĩitithagia thakame? Nĩ ũndũ ũcio rĩonie maũndũ marĩa mothe rĩĩkaga marĩ magigi,
'And thou, son of man, dost thou judge? dost thou judge the city of blood? then thou hast caused it to know all its abominations,
3 ũrĩĩre atĩrĩ, ‘Mwathani Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: Wee itũũra inene rĩrĩa rĩĩrehithagĩria mũtino nĩ ũndũ wa gũitithia thakame kũu thĩinĩ warĩo, na rĩgethaahia nĩ ũndũ wa gũthondeka mĩhianano,
and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: The city is shedding blood in its midst, For the coming in of its time, And it hath made idols on it for defilement.
4 nĩũhĩtĩtie nĩ ũndũ wa thakame ĩrĩa ũitĩte, na nĩũthaahĩtio nĩ mĩhianano ĩrĩa ũthondekete. Nĩũtũmĩte matukũ maku makinye mũthia, o naguo mũthia wa mĩaka yaku nĩmũkinyu. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩngatũma ũtuĩke kĩndũ kĩmeneku harĩ ndũrĩrĩ, na kĩndũ gĩa gũthekererwo nĩ mabũrũri macio mothe.
By thy blood that thou hast shed thou hast been guilty, And by thine idols that thou hast made thou hast been defiled, And thou causest thy days to draw near, And art come in unto thine years, Therefore I have given thee a reproach to nations, And a derision to all the lands.
5 Andũ arĩa marĩ gũkuhĩ na arĩa marĩ kũraya nĩmagakũnyũrũragia, wee itũũra rĩĩrĩ inene ũrĩ ngumo njũru, na ũkaiyũra ngũĩ.
The near and the far-off from thee scoff at thee, O defiled of name — abounding in trouble.
6 “‘Ta rora ũrĩa o ũmwe wa athamaki a Isiraeli arĩa marĩ thĩinĩ waku ahũthagĩra hinya wake ũũru agĩitithia thakame.
Lo, princes of Israel — each according to his arm Have been in thee to shed blood.
7 Nĩmagithĩtie ithe wa ciana o na nyina gĩtĩĩo marĩ kũu thĩinĩ waku; na marĩ thĩinĩ waku nĩmahinyĩrĩirie ageni na makanyariira mwana ũrĩa ũkuĩrĩirwo nĩ ithe, o na mũtumia wa ndigwa.
Father and mother made light of in thee, To a sojourner they dealt oppressively in thy midst, Fatherless and widow they oppressed in thee.
8 Wee-rĩ, nĩũnyararĩte indo ciakwa iria nyamũre, o na ũgathaahia Thabatũ ciakwa.
My holy things thou hast despised, And My sabbaths thou hast polluted.
9 Kũu thĩinĩ waku nĩ kũrĩ andũ maiganagĩrĩra igenyo, na mendete ũiti wa thakame; na thĩinĩ waku nĩ kũrĩ andũ marĩĩaga irio mahooero ma irĩma-igũrũ, na mageeka ciĩko cia ũũra-thoni.
Men of slander have been in thee to shed blood, And on the mountains they have eaten in thee, Wickedness they have done in thy midst.
10 Nĩ kũrĩ andũ thĩinĩ waku mataheaga ũrĩrĩ wa maithe mao gĩtĩĩo; na thĩinĩ waku nĩ kũrĩ andũ mathũkagia atumia nĩ ũndũ wa gũthiĩ nao mahinda-inĩ mao ma mweri, ihinda-inĩ rĩrĩa marĩ na thaahu.
The nakedness of a father hath one uncovered in thee, The defiled of impurity they humbled in thee.
11 Kũu thĩinĩ waku nĩ kũrĩ mũndũ wĩkaga maũndũ marĩ magigi na mũtumia wa mũndũ ũrĩa ũngĩ, nake ũngĩ ndangĩconoka agĩthũkia mũtumia wa mũriũ, ũngĩ nake agathũkagia mwarĩ wa nyina, o ũcio mwarĩ wa ithe.
And each with the wife of his neighbour hath done abomination, And each his daughter-in-law hath defiled through wickedness, And each his sister, his father's daughter, hath humbled in thee.
12 Andũ maamũkagĩra mahaki marĩ thĩinĩ waku nĩguo maite thakame; wee ũrĩ mũrĩa-ngʼũũrũ, na nĩwamũkagĩra uumithio mũkĩru, na ũkoona uumithio ũtarĩ kĩhooto kuuma kũrĩ andũ arĩa angĩ na njĩra ya ũhahanyi. Wee nĩũriganĩirwo nĩ niĩ, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga.
A bribe they have taken in thee to shed blood, Usury and increase thou hast taken, And cuttest off thy neighbour by oppression, And Me thou hast forgotten, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!
13 “‘Ti-itherũ nĩngahũũra hĩ nĩ ũndũ wa uumithio ũcio wonete ũtarĩ wa kĩhooto, na nĩ ũndũ wa thakame ĩrĩa ũitithĩtie kũu thĩinĩ waku.
And lo, I have smitten My hand, Because of thy dishonest gain that thou hast gained, And for thy blood that hath been in thy midst.
14 Mũthenya ũrĩa ngaakũherithia-rĩ ũmĩrĩru waku nĩũgetiiria, kana moko maku magĩe na hinya? Niĩ Jehova nĩ niĩ njarĩtie ũhoro ũcio, na nĩ niĩ ngaawĩka.
Doth thy heart stand — are thy hands strong, For the days that I am dealing with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done [it].
15 Nĩngakũharaganĩria ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ, na ngũhurunjĩre mabũrũri-inĩ; na nĩngakinyia thaahu waku mũthia.
And I have scattered thee among nations, And have spread thee out among lands, And consumed thy uncleanness out of thee.
16 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa wee ũgaakorwo ũthaahĩte maitho-inĩ ma ndũrĩrĩ, nĩũkamenya atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova.’”
And thou hast been polluted in thyself Before the eyes of nations, And thou hast known that I [am] Jehovah.'
17 Ningĩ kiugo kĩa Jehova gĩkĩnginyĩrĩra, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, 'Son of man,
18 “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, harĩ niĩ-rĩ, andũ a nyũmba ĩno ya Isiraeli matuĩkĩte o ta gĩko kĩrĩa gĩtigaraga rĩrĩa cuuma ĩratherio na mwaki wa ũturi; acio othe matuĩkĩte o ta gĩcango, na ibati, na kĩgera, o na ngocorai marĩ mwaki-inĩ wa ũturi. O no ta gĩko kĩrĩa gĩtigaraga rĩrĩa betha ĩratherio na mwaki wa ũturi.
The house of Israel hath been to Me for dross, All of them [are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, In the midst of a furnace — dross hath silver been,
19 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Mwathani Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: ‘Tondũ inyuothe nĩmũtuĩkĩte gĩko kĩrĩa gĩtigaraga rĩrĩa cuuma ĩratherio na mwaki wa ũturi, nĩngamũcookanĩrĩria kũu Jerusalemu.
Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of your all becoming dross, Therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto the midst of Jerusalem,
20 O ta ũrĩa andũ macookanagĩrĩria betha, na gĩcango, na kĩgera, na ngocorai, o na ibati icua-inĩ rĩa mwaki nĩguo itwekio na mwaki mũhiũ-rĩ, ũguo nĩguo o na niĩ ngaamũcookanĩrĩria ndĩ na marakara na mangʼũrĩ, na ndĩmũikie kũu thĩinĩ wa itũũra inene ndĩmũtwekerie kuo.
A gathering of silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, Unto the midst of a furnace — to blow on it fire, to melt it, So do I gather in Mine anger and in My fury, And I have let rest, and have melted you.
21 Nĩngamũcookanĩrĩria na ndĩmũhurutĩre na mangʼũrĩ makwa mahiũ, na inyuĩ nĩmũgatwekerio o kũu thĩinĩ warĩo.
And I have heaped you up, And blown on you in the fire of My wrath, And ye have been melted in its midst.
22 O ta ũrĩa betha ĩtwekagĩrio icua-inĩ rĩa mwaki, ũguo noguo o na inyuĩ mũgaatwekerio kũu thĩinĩ warĩo, na inyuĩ nĩmũkamenya atĩ niĩ Jehova nĩ niĩ ndĩmũitĩrĩirie mangʼũrĩ makwa.’”
As the melting of silver in the midst of a furnace, So are ye melted in its midst, And ye have known that I, Jehovah, I have poured out My fury upon you.'
23 O rĩngĩ kiugo kĩa Jehova nĩkĩanginyĩrĩire, ngĩĩrwo atĩrĩ:
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:
24 “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, ĩra bũrũri ũcio atĩrĩ, ‘Wee-rĩ, ũrĩ bũrũri ũkoretwo wagĩte mbura kana rũthuthuũ, mũthenya ũrĩa wa mangʼũrĩ.’
'Son of man, say to it, Thou [art] a land, It [is] not cleansed nor rained on in a day of indignation.
25 Nĩ kũrĩ na ndundu ya gũũkanĩrĩra ya anene akuo marĩ thĩinĩ waguo, nao matariĩ ta mũrũũthi ũkũrarama ũgĩtambuura kĩrĩa ũnyiitĩte; marĩĩaga andũ, na magakuua mĩthithũ na indo cia goro, na magatũma kũgĩe na atumia aingĩ a ndigwa thĩinĩ waguo.
A conspiracy of its prophets [is] in its midst, as a roaring lion tearing prey; The soul they have devoured, Wealth and glory they have taken, Its widows have multiplied in its midst.
26 Athĩnjĩri-Ngai akuo mahũthagĩra hinya makiuna watho wakwa, na magathaahia indo ciakwa iria nyamũre; matikũũranaga indo iria nyamũre na iria itarĩ nyamũre; marutanaga atĩ gũtirĩ ngũũrani ya indo irĩ thaahu na iria itarĩ thaahu; na mahingaga maitho matikamenyerere Thabatũ ciakwa, nĩguo ngarumagwo gatagatĩ-inĩ kao.
Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst.
27 Anene akuo arĩa marĩ kuo matariĩ ta njũũi igĩtambuura kĩrĩa inyiitĩte; maitaga thakame na makooraga andũ, nĩguo megwatĩre uumithio ũrĩa ũtagĩrĩire.
Its princes in its midst [are] as wolves, Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, For the sake of gaining dishonest gain.
28 Anabii akuo mamahakagĩra ciĩko icio coka mwerũ, na njĩra ya kũmoonera cioneki cia maheeni, na ũragũri wa maheeni. Moigaga atĩrĩ, ‘Mwathani Jehova ekuuga ũũ’, o rĩrĩa Jehova atarĩ ũndũ oigĩte.
And its prophets have daubed for them with chalk, Seeing a vain thing, and divining for them a lie, Saying, 'Thus said the Lord Jehovah:' And Jehovah hath not spoken.
29 Andũ a bũrũri ũcio mahũthagĩra ũhahanyi na ũtunyani; mahinyagĩrĩria athĩĩni na abatari, na makanyariira andũ a kũngĩ, makamaagithia kĩhooto.
The people of the land have used oppression, And have taken plunder violently away, And humble and needy have oppressed, And the sojourner oppressed — without judgment.
30 “Ndaacaririe mũndũ thĩinĩ wao ũngĩaka rũthingo na arũgame mbere yakwa mwanya-inĩ, agitĩre bũrũri ũcio, nĩguo ndikaũniine o kũũniina, no ndiigana kuona o na ũmwe.
And I seek of them a man making a fence, And standing in the breach before Me, In behalf of the land — not to destroy it, And I have not found.
31 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩngamaitĩrĩria mangʼũrĩ makwa, na ndĩmaniine na marakara makwa mahiũ, na ndĩmacookererie maũndũ marĩa mothe mekĩte, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani Jehova ekuuga.”
And I pour out on them mine indignation, By fire of My wrath I have consumed them, Their way on their own head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
