< Ezekieli 10 >

1 Na rĩrĩ, nĩndarorire ngĩona hau rĩera-inĩ igũrũ rĩa mĩtwe ya akerubi kĩndũ kĩahaanaga ta gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene ta ihiga rĩa yakuti.
I looked up and saw what looked like a throne made of lapis lazuli beyond the expanse, way above the heads of the cherubim.
2 Nake Jehova akĩĩra mũndũ ũcio wehumbĩte nguo cia gatani atĩrĩ, “Thiĩ ũtoonye gatagatĩ-inĩ ka magũrũ macio marathiũrũrũka rungu rwa harĩa akerubi marĩ. Iyũria hĩ ciaku cierĩ makara ma mwaki kuuma gatagatĩ ka akerubi ũcooke ũmahurunje kũu itũũra-inĩ inene.” Nake agĩthiĩ agĩtoonya thĩinĩ, o ngĩĩonagĩra na maitho makwa.
Speaking from there the Lord told the man in linen, “Go in between the wheels underneath the cherubim. Collect as many burning coals as you can. Carry them from among the cherubim and scatter them all over the city.” I watched as he went in.
The cherubim were standing on the south side of the Temple when the man went in. A cloud filled the inner court.
Then the Lord's glory rose up from above the cherubim and moved to the entrance of the Temple. The cloud filled the Temple, and the brightness of the Lord's glory filled the courtyard.
5 Naguo mũrurumo wa mathagu ma akerubi acio nĩwaiguĩkaga o nginya kũu nja ya nyumĩrĩra, o taarĩ mũgambo wa Mũrungu Mwene-Hinya-Wothe rĩrĩa ekwaria.
The noise made by the cherubim's wings could even be heard in the outer courtyard, and sounded like the voice of God Almighty.
6 Na rĩrĩa Jehova aathire mũndũ ũcio warĩ na nguo cia gatani, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Oya mwaki kuuma gatagatĩ ka magũrũ macio, kuuma gatagatĩ-inĩ ka akerubi,” mũndũ ũcio agĩtoonya thĩinĩ na akĩrũgama mwena-inĩ wa kũgũrũ kũmwe kwamo.
When the Lord ordered the man in linen, “Go and get some fire from in between the wheels, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside one of the wheels.
7 Ningĩ ũmwe wa akerubi acio agĩtambũrũkia guoko gwake mwaki-inĩ ũcio warĩ gatagatĩ-inĩ kao. Akĩoya mwaki ũmwe waguo, akĩwĩkĩra hĩ-inĩ cia mũndũ ũcio warĩ na nguo cia gatani, nake mũndũ ũcio akĩwoya akiuma nja.
Then one of the cherubim reached out and took some of the fire among them. He handed it to the man in linen, who took it and left.
8 (Rungu rwa mathagu ma akerubi acio nĩkuonekaga kĩndũ kĩahaanaga ta moko ma mũndũ.)
(All the cherubim had what looked like human hands under their wings.)
9 Nĩndarorire, ngĩona magũrũ mana ma ngaari hau mĩena-inĩ ya akerubi acio, o kũmwe gũkagĩa mwena-inĩ wa o ũmwe wa akerubi acio; magũrũ macio maahenagia ta rangi wa thumarati.
I saw four wheels next to the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub. The wheels shone like topaz.
10 Makĩoneka-rĩ, mothe mana nĩmahaanaine; o kũgũrũ kuonekaga ta gũtoonyanĩte na kũgũrũ kũngĩ.
All four wheels looked the same, and had a wheel within a wheel, set crossways.
The cherubim could go in any direction they faced, moving without turning.
The whole of their bodies, including their backs, hands, and wings, were covered in eyes, as were all four wheels.
13 Na rĩrĩ, nĩndaiguire magũrũ macio magĩĩtwo atĩrĩ, “Magũrũ marĩa mathiũrũrũkaga.”
I heard the wheels being referred to as “the chariot wheels.”
Each of them had four faces: the first face was a cherub's face, the second a man's face, the third a lion's face, and the fourth an eagle's face.
15 Ningĩ akerubi acio makĩambata na igũrũ. Ici ciarĩ ciũmbe irĩ muoyo iria ndoonete hau Rũũĩ-inĩ rwa Kebari.
Then the cherubim rose up in the air. They were the beings I'd seen beside the River Kebar.
16 Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa akerubi acio maathiiaga, magũrũ macio maarĩ mĩena-inĩ yao namo magathiĩ; na hĩndĩ ĩrĩa akerubi acio maambararia mathagu mao mombũke, magũrũ macio matioimaga mĩena-inĩ yao.
When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved alongside them. Even when they opened their wings to take off, the wheels stayed beside them.
17 Rĩrĩa akerubi acio marũgama, o namo makarũgama o ũguo; na rĩrĩa akerubi mombũka, namo makombũkania nao, tondũ roho wa ciũmbe icio irĩ muoyo warĩ thĩinĩ wamo.
When the cherubim stopped, the wheels stopped too. When they took off, the wheels did too, because the spirit of the living creatures was in them.
Then the glory of the Lord left the entrance to the Temple and stopped above the cherubim.
As I watched, the cherubim lifted their wings and took off, with the wheels alongside them. They stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the Lord's Temple, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
20 Icio nĩ ciũmbe irĩ muoyo iria ndoonete irĩ rungu rwa Ngai wa Isiraeli hau Rũũĩ-inĩ rwa Kebari, na niĩ ngĩmenya atĩ maarĩ akerubi.
These were the beings I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the River Kebar. I knew that they were cherubim.
Each had four faces and four wings and had what looked like human hands under their wings.
22 Mothiũ mao maahaanaga ta marĩa ndoonete hau Rũũĩ-inĩ rwa Kebari. O ũmwe wao aathiiaga arũngĩrĩirie na mbere.
Their faces looked like the faces I had seen by the River Kebar. Each of them moved directly ahead.
