< Aefeso 2 >
And you being dead in the trespasses and in the sins (of you, *no*)
in which once you walked according to the age world of this, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn )
3 O na ithuĩ ithuothe-rĩ, kũrĩ hĩndĩ twatũũranagia nao, twaathagwo nĩ thuti cia mĩĩrĩ iitũ, na tũkarũmagĩrĩra merirĩria na maũndũ marĩa meciiragio nĩ ngoro. O ta acio angĩ-rĩ, ha ũhoro wa kĩĩmerera-rĩ, twatũũire tũrĩ a kũrakarĩrwo.
among whom also we ourselves all lived once in the desires of the flesh of us doing the things willed of the flesh and of [its] thoughts and (we were *N(k)O*) children by nature of wrath as even the rest.
4 No tondũ wa wendo wake mũnene harĩ ithuĩ, Ngai, o we ũiyũrĩtwo nĩ tha nyingĩ,
But God rich being in mercy because of the great love of Him with which He loved us,
even being we dead in trespasses made [us] alive with Christ — by grace you are saved.
and He raised [us] up together and He seated [us] together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 Eekire ũguo nĩgeetha matukũ marĩa magooka onanie kũrĩ ithuĩ wega wake mũingĩ ũrĩa ũtangĩgereka kũrĩ ithuĩ, nĩ ũrĩa atũire atũtugaga thĩinĩ wa Kristũ Jesũ. (aiōn )
in order that He may show in the ages that [are] coming (the surpassing riches *N(k)O*) of the grace of Him in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn )
8 Nĩ ũndũ nĩ wega wa Ngai watũmire mũhonokio nĩ ũndũ wa gwĩtĩkia, naguo ũndũ ũcio nduoimanire na inyuĩ ene, no nĩ kĩheo kĩa Ngai,
For by grace you are saved through (*k*) faith, and this not of yourselves, [it is] of God the gift,
not as a result of works, so that not anyone may boast.
10 Nĩgũkorwo ithuĩ tũrĩ wĩra wa moko ma Ngai, tũmbĩĩtwo thĩinĩ wa Kristũ Jesũ nĩguo twĩkage ciĩko njega iria irutaga wĩra mwega, ũrĩa Ngai aahaarĩirie o mbere nĩ ũndũ witũ nĩguo tũtũũre tũciĩkaga.
Of Him for we are workmanship having been created in Christ Jesus for works good which prepared beforehand God, that in them we may walk.
11 Hakĩrĩ ũguo-rĩ, ririkanai atĩ tene inyuĩ arĩa mũrĩ andũ-a-Ndũrĩrĩ na ũndũ wa gũciarwo, o inyuĩ mwĩtagwo “andũ arĩa mataruaga” nĩ arĩa meĩĩtaga “andũ arĩa maruaga” (kũrua kũu no ũndũ wĩkĩtwo mwĩrĩ na moko ma andũ),
Therefore do remember that formerly you yourselves the Gentiles in [the] flesh, the ones being named [the] uncircumcision by which is being named [the] circumcision in [the] flesh made by hands —
12 ririkanai atĩ hĩndĩ ĩyo mwatũũrĩte mwamũranĩtio na Kristũ, mwarĩ ageni na mũtiarĩ a gĩkundi kĩa andũ a Isiraeli na ha ũhoro wa irĩkanĩro iria Ngai eeranĩire, inyuĩ mũtiarĩ a ho. Mwatũũrĩte gũkũ thĩ mũtarĩ na kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro na mũtarĩ na Ngai.
for you were (in *k*) time that [very] separate from Christ alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of the promise, hope not having and without God in the world;
13 No rĩu, thĩinĩ wa Kristũ Jesũ, inyuĩ arĩa hĩndĩ ĩmwe mwarĩ kũraya, rĩu nĩmũreharehetwo hakuhĩ nĩ ũndũ wa thakame ya Kristũ.
Now however in Christ Jesus you yourselves the [ones] once being far off have become near by the blood of Christ.
14 Nĩgũkorwo we mwene nĩwe thayũ witũ, o we watũmire ithuĩ twarĩ eerĩ tũtuĩke ũmwe, na agĩtharia rũirigo rwa rũmena rũrĩa rwatũgayanĩtie,
he himself for is the peace of us, which having made both one and the barrier of the fence having broken down,
the hostility in the flesh of Him, the law of commandments in ordinances having annulled, so that the two He may create in (Him *N(k)O*) into one new man making peace,
and He may reconcile both in one body to God through the cross having slain the hostility by it;
17 Kristũ ookire akĩmũhunjĩria thayũ inyuĩ arĩa mwarĩ kũraya, o na thayũ kũrĩ arĩa maarĩ hakuhĩ.
And having come He evangelised peace to you the [ones] far off and (peace *no*) to those [who are] near,
For through Him we have the access both by one Spirit to the Father.
19 Nĩ ũndũ wa ũguo, rĩu inyuĩ mũtirĩ ageni na agendi rĩngĩ, no nĩmũtuĩkĩte ene bũrũri hamwe na andũ a Ngai, na mũgatuĩka andũ a nyũmba ya Ngai,
So then no longer no longer are you strangers and aliens, but (are *no*) fellow citizens of the saints and of the household of God
20 mũgagĩakwo igũrũ rĩa mũthingi wa atũmwo na anabii, nake Kristũ Jesũ we mwene agakorwo nĩwe ihiga rĩrĩa inene rĩa koine.
having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, being [the] cornerstone Himself Christ Jesus
21 Thĩinĩ wake mwako wothe nĩũnyiitanĩte, na ũgakĩneneha o nginya ũgatuĩka hekarũ theru thĩinĩ wa Mwathani.
in whom [the] whole (*k*) building being fitted together is increasing into a temple holy in [the] Lord,
in whom also you yourselves are being built together for a habitation of God in [the] Spirit.
