< Danieli 8 >

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.
2 Kĩoneki-inĩ kĩu gĩakwa ndeyonire ndĩ itũũra-inĩ igitĩre rĩa Shushani bũrũri-inĩ wa Elamu; kĩoneki-inĩ kĩu ndeyonire ndĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Rũũĩ rwa Ulai.
And I saw in the vision, now it was so, that when I saw, I was in Shushan the palace, which is in the province of Elam, and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.
3 Na rĩrĩ, ngĩcũthĩrĩria, na hau mbere yakwa ngĩona ndũrũme ĩrũngiĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia rũũĩ, na yarĩ na hĩa igĩrĩ, nacio ciarĩ ndaaya. Rũhĩa rũmwe rwarĩ rũraihu gũkĩra rũrĩa rũngĩ, o na gũtuĩka nĩruo rwamerete thuutha.
Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns. And the two horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward, and no beasts could stand before him, nor was there any that could deliver out of his hand, but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.
5 Na rĩrĩa ndacũũranagia ũhoro ũcio, o rĩmwe hagĩũka thenge yumĩte mwena wa ithũĩro, ĩtuĩkanĩirie thĩ yothe ĩtekũhutia thĩ, nayo thenge ĩyo yarĩ na rũhĩa rũmwe rũnene thiithi-inĩ.
And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and did not touch the ground. And the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6 Ĩgĩũka yerekeire harĩ ndũrũme ĩrĩa yarĩ na hĩa igĩrĩ, ĩyo ndoonete ĩrũngiĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia rũũĩ, ĩkĩmĩguthũkĩra ĩrĩ na mangʼũrĩ manene.
And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran upon him in the fury of his power.
And I saw him come close to the ram. And he was moved with anger against him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him. And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8 Thenge ĩyo ĩkĩgĩa na hinya mũno, no rĩrĩa hinya wayo waingĩhire mũno-rĩ, rũhĩa rũu rwayo rũnene rũkiunĩka, na ithenya rĩaruo hakĩmera hĩa ingĩ inya nene, irorete mĩena ĩna ĩrĩa huho iria cia igũrũ ihurutanaga.
And the he-goat magnified himself exceedingly. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.
And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which grew exceedingly great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious land.
10 Rũkĩraiha nginya rũgĩkinyĩra mbũtũ cia igũrũ, na rũkĩrutũrũra mbũtũ imwe rũgĩcigũithia thĩ na rũgĩcirangĩrĩria.
And it grew great, even to the host of heaven. And it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and trampled upon them.
11 Rũgĩĩtũũgĩria rũnenehe rũiganane na Mũtongoria wa mbũtũ icio cia igũrũ; rũkĩeheria magongona marĩa maacinagwo o mũthenya kuuma harĩ we, nakĩo gĩikaro gĩake kĩrĩa kĩamũre gĩkĩngʼaũranio.
Yea, it magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host. And it took away from him the continual burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
And the host was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground, and it did its pleasure and prospered.
13 Ningĩ ngĩcooka ngĩigua ũmwe wa andũ arĩa atheru akĩaria, nake ũngĩ mũtheru akĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Kĩoneki gĩkĩ-rĩ, gĩgũikara ihinda rĩigana atĩa gĩgĩkahingio: kĩoneki kĩu gĩkoniĩ magongona ma o mũthenya, na ũremi ũcio wa kũrehe ihooru, na kũneanwo gwa gĩikaro kĩrĩa gĩtheru, na kũrangĩrĩrio thĩ kwa mbũtũ?”
Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, How long shall be the vision of the continual burnt offering, and the transgression that make desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
14 Nake akĩnjookeria atĩrĩ: “Ũhoro ũcio ũgũikara matukũ 2,300; na thuutha ũcio gĩikaro kĩu gĩtheru nĩgĩkaamũrwo rĩngĩ.”
And he said to me, To two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.
15 Rĩrĩa niĩ Danieli nderoragĩra kĩoneki kĩu o ngĩgeragia kũmenya gĩtũmi gĩakĩo-rĩ, hau mbere yakwa hakĩrũgama ũmwe wahaanaga ta mũndũ.
And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, that I sought to understand it, and, behold, there stood before me someone as the appearance of a man.
16 Na ngĩigua mũgambo wa mũndũ ũgĩĩtana kuuma Rũũĩ rwa Ulai, ũkiuga atĩrĩ, “Wee Gaburieli, ta taũrĩra mũndũ ũyũ gĩtũmi gĩa kĩoneki kĩu onete.”
And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17 Na rĩrĩa aakuhĩrĩirie harĩa ndarũgamĩte, ngĩtuĩka nda, ngĩgwa ngĩturumithia ũthiũ thĩ. Nake akĩnjĩĩra atĩrĩ: “Mũrũ wa mũndũ, nĩ wega ũmenye atĩ kĩoneki kĩu gĩkoniĩ mahinda ma ithirĩro.”
So he came near where I stood. And when he came, I was frightened, and fell upon my face. But he said to me, Understand, O son of man, for the vision belongs to the time of the end.
18 Hĩndĩ ĩyo aanjaragĩria-rĩ, ndaarĩ toro mũnene, ngakoma ndurumithĩtie ũthiũ thĩ. Nake akĩĩhutia na akĩnjũkĩria, akĩndũgamia na igũrũ.
Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground, but he touched me, and set me upright.
19 Akĩnjĩĩra atĩrĩ, “Nĩngũkwĩra ũrĩa gũkaahaana thuutha-inĩ hĩndĩ ya mangʼũrĩ, tondũ rĩrĩ, kĩoneki gĩkĩ gĩkoniĩ mahinda marĩa maathĩrĩirio ma ithirĩro.
And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation, for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.
20 Ndũrũme ĩyo wonire ĩrĩ na hĩa igĩrĩ, hĩa icio irũgamĩrĩire athamaki a Media na Perisia.
The ram which thou saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.
And the rough he-goat is the king of Greece. And the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22 Hĩa icio inya ciamerire ithenya rĩa rũhĩa rũu ruoinĩkire irũgamĩrĩire mothamaki mana marĩa makoima thĩinĩ wa bũrũri wake, no matigaakorwo marĩ na ũhoti ta wake.
And as for that which was broken, in the place of which four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding hidden things, shall stand up.
24 Nĩakagĩa na hinya mũno, no ti ũndũ wa ũhoti wake mwene. Nĩakarehithia mwanangĩko wa kũmakania, ningĩ nĩakagaacĩra ũndũ-inĩ wothe ageeka. Nĩakaniina andũ arĩa marĩ hinya na andũ arĩa a Ngai.
And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power, and he shall destroy amazingly, and shall prosper and do his pleasure. And he shall destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.
No rĩrĩ, nĩakanangwo, no ti hinya wa mũndũ ũkaamwananga.
And through his policy he shall cause deceit to prosper in his hand, and he shall magnify himself in his heart. And he shall destroy many in their security. He shall also stand up against the Prince of princes, but he shall be broken without a hand.
26 “Kĩoneki kĩu wonirio kĩa mahwaĩ-inĩ na ma rũciinĩ-rĩ, nĩ kĩa ma, no rĩrĩ, hingĩrĩria ũhoro wa kĩoneki kĩu tondũ gĩkoniĩ mahinda marĩ kũraya gĩgĩkahingio.”
And the vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true. But shut thou up the vision, for it belongs to many days to come.
And I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick certain days. Then I rose up, and did the king's business. And I wondered at the vision, but none understood it.
