7 Magĩathana atĩ Petero na Johana mareehwo mbere yao, na makĩambĩrĩria kũmooria ciũria. Makĩmooria atĩrĩ, “Mũrahotire gwĩka ũndũ ũcio na hinya ũrĩkũ, kana na rĩĩtwa rĩrĩkũ?”
And having set them in the midst, asked them, By what power or in what name have you done this?
8 Nake Petero, aiyũrĩtwo nĩ Roho Mũtheru, akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Inyuĩ aathani na athuuri a andũ!
Then Peter being full of the Holy Spirit said to them, Ye rulers of the people and elders,

let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, through him this man now stands sound in your presence.
11 We nĩwe “‘ihiga rĩrĩa inyuĩ aaki mwaregire, na nĩrĩo rĩtuĩkĩte ihiga rĩrĩa inene rĩa koine.’
This is the stone rejected by your builders, which has become the head of the corner.

saying, What can we do to these men? for that a notable miracle has been wrought by them is indeed manifest to all dwelling at Jerusalem, and we are not able to deny it;
17 No nĩguo tũgirie ũndũ ũyũ gũthiĩ na mbere makĩria gatagatĩ-inĩ ka andũ-rĩ, no nginya tũkaanie andũ aya kwarĩria mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ na rĩĩtwa rĩu.”
but that it may extend no further unto the people, let us threaten them to speak no more in this name to any one of men.
18 Magĩcooka makĩmeeta thĩinĩ rĩngĩ na makĩmaatha atĩ matikaarie kana marutane o na atĩa na rĩĩtwa rĩa Jesũ.
And having called them, they command them, not at all to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.

And Peter and John responding said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken unto you rather than God, judge ye;
20 Nĩgũkorwo tũtingĩhota gũtiga kwaria ũrĩa tuonete na tũkaigua.”
for we are not able not to speak those things which we have seen and heard.
And they having threatened them, in addition sent them away, finding nothing to the end that they can punish them, on account of the people, because all continued to glorify God over that which had taken place;
22 Nĩgũkorwo mũndũ ũcio wahonetio na njĩra ya kĩama aarĩ na ũkũrũ wa makĩria ma mĩaka mĩrongo ĩna.
