1 Thuutha wa mahinda macio-rĩ, Daudi nĩatharĩkĩire Afilisti na akĩmatooria biũ, na agĩtunyana Methegi-Amma kuuma watho-inĩ wa Afilisti.
And it came to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and David took the bridle of the metropolis, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Ningĩ Daudi nĩatooririe andũ a Moabi. Agĩtũma makome thĩ na akĩmathima na ũraihu wa rũrigi. Aamathima-rĩ, ithimi igĩrĩ ciao makooragwo, na gĩthimi gĩa gatatũ mageetĩkĩrio matũũre muoyo. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio andũ a Moabi magĩtuĩka ndungata cia Daudi na makamũrehagĩra igooti.
And he smote Moab, and measured them with the line casting, them down to the ground, and be measured with two lines to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive, —so the Moabites became David’s, as servants, bringing gifts.
3 Daudi nĩahũũranire na Hadadezeri mũrũ wa Rehobu, mũthamaki wa Zoba, rĩrĩa aathiĩte gũcookia bũrũri ũrĩa aatunyĩtwo gũkuhĩ na Rũũĩ rwa Farati.
And David smote Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, —when he went to lay his hand on the River Euphrates.
4 Nake Daudi akĩmũtunya ngaari ciake cia ita ngiri ĩmwe, na andũ a gũcitwara ngiri mũgwanja, na thigari cia magũrũ ngiri mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ. Nake agĩtemenga mbarathi icio cia mbaara magũrũ agĩtũma ithue ciothe tiga o igana rĩmwe.
And David captured from him, a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, but reserved of them, a hundred chariots.
5 Rĩrĩa Asuriata a kuuma Dameski mookire gũteithia Hadadezeri mũthamaki wa Zoba, Daudi akĩũraga Asuriata ngiri mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ na igĩrĩ.
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 Akĩiga mbũtũ cia kũrangĩra ũthamaki wa Asuriata kũu Dameski. Nao Asuriata magĩtuĩka a gwathagwo nĩwe makamũrehagĩra igooti. Jehova nĩaheaga Daudi ũhootani kũrĩa guothe aathiiaga.
Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus, and the Syrians became David’s, as servants bringing gifts, —and so Yahweh gave victory unto David, whithersoever he went.
7 Na rĩrĩ, Daudi agĩkuua ngo cia thahabu iria ciarĩ cia atongoria a Hadadezeri agĩcirehe Jerusalemu.
And David took the shields of gold which had come to the servants of Hadadezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 Kuuma matũũra ma Teba na Berothai, marĩa maarĩ ma Hadadezeri, Mũthamaki Daudi agĩkuua kuuma kuo indo nyingĩ mũno cia gĩcango.
also, from Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, did King David take bronze, exceeding much.
9 Rĩrĩa Tou mũthamaki wa Hamathu aaiguire atĩ Daudi nĩahootete mbũtũ ciothe cia mbaara cia Hadadezeri-rĩ,
And, when Tou king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the forces of Hadadezer,
10 agĩtũma mũriũ Joramu kũrĩ Mũthamaki Daudi akamũgeithie na amũkũngũĩre nĩ ũndũ wa kũhoota Hadadezeri, ũrĩa wakoretwo akĩrũa na Tou. Joramu akĩmũrehera indo cia betha na cia thahabu, o na cia gĩcango.
then Tou sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and had smitten him, for Hadadezer had had wars with Tou, —and, in his hand, were vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze.
11 Mũthamaki Daudi akĩamũrĩra Jehova indo icio, o ta ũrĩa aamũrĩte betha na thahabu kuuma ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ ciothe iria aatooretie.
Them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, —with the silver and the gold which he had hallowed from all the nations which he had subdued:
12 Nacio nĩ Edomu na Moabi, na Aamoni na Afilisti, na Amaleki. Ningĩ akĩamũra indo iria aatahĩte kuuma kũrĩ Hadadezeri mũrũ wa Rehobu mũthamaki wa Zoba.
from Syria, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek, —and from the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 Nake Daudi akĩgĩa igweta hĩndĩ ĩrĩa oimire kũũraga andũ a Edomu ngiri ikũmi na inyanya Gĩtuamba-inĩ gĩa Cumbĩ.
And David made a name, when he returned from his smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, —eighteen thousand.
14 Nake akĩiga thigari cia kũrangĩra Edomu guothe, nao andũ a Edomu othe magĩtuĩka ndungata cia Daudi. Nake Jehova nĩaheaga Daudi ũhootani kũrĩa guothe aathiiaga.
And he put, in Edom, garrisons, throughout all Edom, put be garrisons, and so it was that all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave victory unto David, whithersoever he went.
15 Daudi nĩathamakire Isiraeli guothe, akahũthagĩra kĩhooto, na akahingĩria andũ ake othe maũndũ marĩa maagĩrĩire.
And David reigned over all Israel, —and so it was that David used to execute justice and righteousness for all his people;
16 Joabu mũrũ wa Zeruia nĩwe warĩ mũnene wa ita; nake Jehoshafatu mũrũ wa Ehiludu nĩwe warĩ mwandĩki wa maũndũ ma ihinda rĩu;
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Ahilud, was remembrancer.
17 nake Zadoku mũrũ wa Ahitubu na Ahimeleku mũrũ wa Abiatharu maarĩ athĩnjĩri-Ngai; nake Seraia aarĩ mwandĩki.
And, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech, son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Seraiah, was scribe;
18 Nake Benaia mũrũ wa Jehoiada nĩwe warĩ mũnene wa Akerethi na Apelethi; nao ariũ a Daudi maarĩ ataari a mũthamaki.
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiadah, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, became, chief rulers.
