1 Na rĩrĩ, thiritũ ya anabii ĩkĩĩra Elisha atĩrĩ, “Rora, handũ haha tũgomanaga nawe nĩ hanini mũno.
Forsothe the sones of prophetis seiden to Elisee, Lo! the place in which we dwellen bifor thee, is streiyt to vs;
2 Twĩtĩkĩrie tũthiĩ Jorodani, o mũndũ witũ akuue ĩtugĩ kuo; na ũtwĩtĩkĩrie twake handũ ha gũtũũraga kũu.” Nake akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Thiĩi.”
go we `til to Jordan, and ech man take of the wode `a mater for hym silf, that we bild to vs here a place to dwelle.
3 Ningĩ ũmwe wao akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Ndagũthaitha wĩtĩkĩre gũthiĩ na ndungata ciaku.” Nake Elisha agĩcookia atĩrĩ, “Ĩĩ, nĩtũgũthiĩ na inyuĩ.”
Which Elisee seide, Go ye. And oon of hem seide, Therfor `and thou come with thi seruauntis. He answeride, Y schal come. And he yede with hem.
4 Nake Elisha agĩthiĩ hamwe nao. Nao magĩthiĩ Jorodani na makĩambĩrĩria gũtema mĩtĩ.
And whanne thei `hadden come to Jordan, thei hewiden trees.
5 Na rĩrĩa ũmwe wao aatemaga mũtĩ-rĩ, ithanwa rĩkĩgũa maaĩ-inĩ. Nake agĩkaya, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Mwathi wakwa, riuma rĩa kũhooya!”
Sotheli it bifelde, that whanne `o man hadde kit doun mater, the yrun of the axe felde in to the watir; and he criede, and seide, Alas! alas! alas! my lord, and Y hadde take this same thing bi borewing.
6 Nake mũndũ wa Ngai akĩũria atĩrĩ, “Rĩagũa ha?” Na rĩrĩa aamuonirie handũ hau, Elisha agĩtinia kamũtĩ, agĩgaikia ho, narĩo ithanwa rĩkĩrera maaĩ igũrũ.
Sotheli the man of God seide, Where felde it? And he schewide to hym the place. Therfor he kittide doun a tree, and sente thidur; and the yrun fletide.
7 Nake akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Oya ithanwa.” Nake mũndũ ũcio agĩtambũrũkia guoko, akĩrĩoya.
And he seide, Take thou. Which helde forth the hond, and took it.
8 Na rĩrĩ, mũthamaki wa Suriata aarĩ na mbaara na andũ a Isiraeli. Thuutha wa kũrĩkanĩra na anene ake, akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ngwamba kambĩ handũ hana na hana.”
Forsothe the kyng of Syrie fauyte ayens Israel; and he took counseil with hise seruauntis, and seide, Sette we buschementis in this place and that.
9 Mũndũ wa Ngai agĩtũmana kũrĩ mũthamaki wa Isiraeli, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Wĩhũũge, na ndũkagerere handũ hana tondũ andũ a Suriata nĩho maraikũrũkĩra.”
Therfor the man of God sente to the kyng of Israel, and seide, Be war, lest thou passe to that place, for men of Sirie ben there in buschementis.
10 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio mũthamaki wa Isiraeli agĩtũma andũ magatuĩrie ũhoro wa handũ hau mũndũ wa Ngai aarĩtie ũhoro waho. Mahinda maingĩ Elisha nĩeragĩra mũthamaki wa Isiraeli kũndũ kũrĩa aagĩrĩirwo nĩ kwĩmenyerera, nake agaikaraga ehũũgĩte.
Therfor the kyng of Israel sente to the place, which the man of God hadde seid to him, and bifor ocupiede it, and kepte hym silf there not onys, nether twies.
11 Ũndũ ũcio ũkĩrakaria mũthamaki wa Suriata mũno. Nake agĩĩta anene ake na akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ngwenda kũmenya kuuma kũrĩ inyuĩ ũũ, nũũ witũ ũrĩ mwena wa mũthamaki wa Isiraeli?”
And the herte of the kyng of Sirie was disturblid for this thing; and whanne hise seruauntis weren clepide togidere, he seide, Whi schewen ye not to me, who is my tretour anentis the kyng of Israel?
12 Nake ũmwe wa anene ake akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Mũthamaki mwathi wakwa, gũtirĩ o na ũmwe witũ ũrĩ mwena wake. No rĩrĩ, Elisha ũrĩa mũnabii kũu Isiraeli nĩwe wĩraga mũthamaki wa Isiraeli ciugo nginya iria waragia ũrĩ nyũmba yaku ya toro.”
And oon of hise seruauntis seide, Nay, my lord the kyng, but Elisee, the prophete, which is in Israel, schewith to the kyng of Israel alle thingis, what euer thingis thou spekist in thi closet.
13 Nake mũthamaki agĩathana, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Thiĩi mũgatuĩrie kũrĩa arĩ, nĩguo ndũme andũ mamũnyiite.” Nake mũthamaki agĩcookerio ũhoro akĩĩrwo atĩrĩ, “Elisha arĩ Dothani.”
And the kyng seide to hem, `Go ye, and se, where he is, that Y sende, and take hym. And thei telden to him, and seiden, Lo! he dwellith in Dothaym.
14 Nake mũthamaki agĩtũma mbarathi na ngaari cia ita, na mbũtũ yarĩ na hinya kũu. Igĩthiĩ ũtukũ, ikĩrigiicĩria itũũra rĩu.
And the kyng sente thidur horsis, and charis, and the strengthe of the oost; whiche, whanne thei hadden come bi nyyt, cumpassiden the citee.
15 Na rĩrĩa ndungata ya mũndũ wa Ngai yokĩrire, ĩkiuma nja rũciinĩ tene, ĩkĩona atĩ mbũtũ ya ita, na mbarathi, na ngaari cia ita nĩciarigiicĩirie itũũra. Nayo ndungata ĩkĩũria atĩrĩ, “Wũi, mwathi wakwa-ĩ, tũgwĩka atĩa?”
Sotheli the mynystre of the man of God roos eerli, and yede out, and he siy an oost in the cumpas of the citee, and horsis, and charis. And he telde to the man of God, and seide, Alas! alas! alas! my lord, what schulen we do?
16 Nake mũnabii akĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Tiga gwĩtigĩra, nĩgũkorwo arĩa marĩ mwena witũ nĩ aingĩ gũkĩra arĩa marĩ mwena wao.”
And he answeride, Nile thou drede; for mo ben with vs than with hem.
17 Nake Elisha akĩhooya atĩrĩ, “Wee Jehova, mũhingũre maitho nĩguo oone.” Nake Jehova akĩhingũra maitho ma ndungata ĩyo, nayo ĩkĩrora, ĩkĩona kũu irĩma-inĩ kũiyũire mbarathi na ngaari cia ita irĩ na mwaki, ciothe irigiicĩirie Elisha.
And whanne Elisee hadde preied, he seide, Lord, opene thou the iyen of this child, that he se. And the Lord openyde the iyen of the child, and he siy. And, lo! the hil ful of horsis, and of charis of fier, in the cumpas of Elisee.
18 Na rĩrĩa thũ ciake ciaikũrũkaga irorete kũrĩ we-rĩ, Elisha akĩhooya Jehova, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Hũũra andũ aya na ũtumumu.” Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Jehova akĩmahũũra na ũtumumu, o ta ũrĩa Elisha aahooete.
Sotheli the enemyes camen doun to hym; forsothe Elisee preiede to the Lord, and seide, Y biseche, smyte thou this folc with blyndenesse. And the Lord smoot hem, that thei sien not, bi the word of Elisee.
19 Elisha akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ĩno tiyo njĩra, o na rĩĩrĩ tirĩo itũũra. Nũmĩrĩrai, na nĩngũmũtwara kũrĩ mũndũ ũrĩa mũracaria.” Nake akĩmatwara nginya Samaria.
Forsothe Elisee seide to hem, This is not the weie, nether this is the citee; sue ye me, and Y schal schewe to you the man, whom ye seken. And he ledde hem into Samarie.
20 Maarĩkia kũingĩra itũũra rĩu inene, Elisha akiuga atĩrĩ, “Jehova hingũra andũ aya maitho nĩgeetha mone.” Nake Jehova akĩmahingũra maitho, nao makĩona, magĩĩkora marĩ thĩinĩ wa Samaria.
And whanne thei hadden entrid into Samarie, Elisee seide, Lord, opene thou the iyen of these men, that thei see. And the Lord openyde her iyen, and thei siyen, that thei weren in the myddis of Samarie.
21 Rĩrĩa mũthamaki wa Isiraeli aamoonire-rĩ, akĩũria Elisha atĩrĩ, “Baba ndĩmoorage? Nĩ wega ndĩmoorage?”
And the kyng of Israel, whanne he hadde seyn hem, seide to Elisee, My fadir, whether Y schal smyte hem?
22 Nake Elisha akĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Ndũkamoorage. No ũũrage andũ arĩa wĩnyiitĩire na rũhiũ rwaku rwa njora kana ũta? Mahe irio na maaĩ, marĩe na manyue, macooke mathiĩ kũrĩ mwathi wao.”
And he seide, Thou schalt not smyte hem, for thou hast not take hem bi thi swerd and bouwe, that thou smyte hem; but sette thou breed and watir bifor hem, that thei ete and drynke, and go to her lord.
23 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio akĩmathondekera iruga inene, nao maarĩkia kũrĩa na kũnyua, akĩmoigĩra ũhoro nao magĩcooka kũrĩ mwathi wao. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio mbũtũ cia ita cia Suriata igĩtiga gũtharĩkĩra bũrũri wa Isiraeli rĩngĩ.
And `greet makyng redi of metis was set forth to hem; and thei eten, and drunken. And the kyng lefte hem, and thei yeden to her lord; and theues of Sirie camen no more in to the lond of Israel.
24 Na rĩrĩ, thuutha ũcio Beni-Hadadi mũthamaki wa Suriata agĩcookanĩrĩria mbũtũ ciake cia ita ciothe, igĩthiĩ, ikĩrigiicĩria Samaria irĩtunyane.
Forsothe it was don after these thingis, Benadab, king of Sirie, gaderide alle his oost, and stiede, and bisegide Samarie.
25 Na gũkĩgĩa na ngʼaragu nene mũno itũũra rĩu inene. Kũrigiicĩrio kwarĩo gũgĩikara ihinda iraaya ũũ atĩ mũtwe wa ndigiri wendagio cekeri mĩrongo ĩnana cia betha, nakĩo kĩbaba kĩmwe kĩa mai ma ndutura gĩkeendio cekeri ithano.
And greet hungur was maad in Samarie; and so long it was bisegid, til the heed of an asse were seeld for fourescore platis of siluer, and the fourthe part of a mesure clepid cabus of the crawe of culueris was seeld for fyue platis of siluer.
26 Na rĩrĩa mũthamaki wa Isiraeli aahĩtũkagĩra rũthingo igũrũ-rĩ, mũtumia ũmwe akĩmũkaĩra, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Mũthamaki, mwathi wakwa, ndeithia!”
And whanne the kyng of Israel passide bi the wal, sum womman criede to hym, and seide, My lord the kyng, saue thou me.
27 Nake mũthamaki akĩmũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Angĩkorwo Jehova ndangĩgũteithia-rĩ, niĩ ingĩkũrutĩra ũteithio kũ? Nĩ kuuma kĩhuhĩro-inĩ kĩa ngano, kana nĩ kuuma kĩhihĩro-inĩ kĩa ndibei?”
Which seide, Nai, the Lord saue thee; wherof may Y saue thee? of cornfloor, ethir of pressour? And the kyng seide to hir, What wolt thou to thee?
28 Ningĩ agĩcooka akĩmũũria atĩrĩ, “Nĩ kĩĩ kĩragũthĩĩnia?” Nake agĩcookia atĩrĩ, “Mũtumia ũyũ aranjĩĩrire atĩrĩ, ‘Ruta mũrũguo nĩgeetha tũmũrĩe ũmũthĩ, naruo rũciũ tũkaarĩa mũriũ wakwa.’
And sche answeride, This womman seide to me, Yyue thi sone, that we ete hym to dai, and we schulen ete my sone to morewe.
29 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio tũraruga mũriũ wakwa na tũramũrĩa. Mũthenya ũyũ ũngĩ ndĩramwĩra atĩrĩ, ‘Ruta mũrũguo nĩgeetha tũmũrĩe,’ no aramũhitha.”
Therfor we setheden my sone, and eten him. And Y seide to hir in the tother day, Yyue thi sone, that we ete hym; and she hidde hir sone.
30 Na rĩrĩa mũthamaki aaiguire ciugo cia mũtumia ũcio-rĩ, agĩtembũranga nguo ciake. O agĩthiiagĩra rũthingo igũrũ-rĩ, andũ magĩcũthĩrĩria, makĩona atĩ eehumbĩte nguo ya ikũnia thĩinĩ.
And whanne the kyng hadde herd this, he to-rente hise clothis, and passide bi the wal; and al the puple siy the heire, `with which the kyng was clothid at the fleisch with ynne.
31 Nake akiuga atĩrĩ, “Ngai aronjĩka ũũru, na akĩrĩrĩrie kũnjĩka ũũru, angĩkorwo mũtwe wa Elisha mũrũ wa Shafatu nĩũgũkorwo ũnyiitaine na mwĩrĩ wake ũmũthĩ!”
And the kyng seide, God do to me these thingis, and adde these thingis, if the heed of Elise, sone of Saphat, schal stonde on hym to dai.
32 Na rĩrĩ, Elisha aikarĩte gwake nyũmba arĩ hamwe na athuuri. Nake mũthamaki agĩtũma mũndũ athiiage mbere yake, no mũndũ ũcio ataanakinya, Elisha akĩĩra athuuri acio atĩrĩ, “Hĩ! Ĩĩ nĩmũrona ũrĩa mũũragani ũyũ andũmĩire mũndũ oke andinie mũtwe? Atĩrĩrĩ, mũndũ ũcio ooka-rĩ, mũhinge mũrango, na mũũnyiitĩrĩre ndakaingĩre. Githĩ mũkubio wa magũrũ ma mwathi wake ndũrĩ o thuutha wake?”
Sotheli Elisee sat in his hows, and elde men saten with hym; `therfor he biforsente a man, and bifor that thilke messanger cam, Elisee seide to the elde men, Whether ye witen, that the sone of manquellere sente hidur, that myn heed be gird of? Therfor se ye, whanne the messanger cometh, close ye the dore, and `suffre ye not hym to entre; for, lo! the sown of the feet of his lord is bihynde hym.
33 O akĩaria nao-rĩ, mũndũ ũcio watũmĩtwo agĩikũrũka, agĩkinya harĩ we. Nake mũthamaki akiuga atĩrĩ, “Mwanangĩko ũyũ uumĩte kũrĩ Jehova. Nĩ kĩĩ kĩngĩtũma njeterere Jehova makĩria ma ũguo?”
And yit `while he spak to hem, the messanger that cam to hym apperide; and the kyng seide, Lo! so greet yuel is of the Lord; sotheli what more schal Y abide of the Lord?
