< 2 Akorinitho 6 >

1 Tondũ tũrĩ aruti a wĩra hamwe na Ngai-rĩ, nĩtũkũmũringĩrĩria mũtikae kwamũkĩra wega wa Ngai o ũguo tũhũ.
As co-workers, however, we also beseech, that, not in vain, the favour of God, ye welcome;
Atĩrĩrĩ-i, rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo ihinda rĩa gwĩtĩkĩrĩka nĩ Ngai, naguo ũyũ nĩguo mũthenya wa kũhonokanio.
For he saith—In an approved season, have I hearkened unto thee, and, in a day of salvation, have succoured thee; —Lo! now, a well-approved season, Lo! now, a day of salvation:
3 Ithuĩ-rĩ, tũtitũmaga hagĩe na ũndũ ũngĩhĩnga mũndũ nĩguo ũtungata witũ ndũkonerwo mahĩtia.
Giving, no single, occasion of stumbling, in anything, that the ministry be not blamed;
4 Aca, ithuĩ tũrĩ ta ndungata cia Ngai nĩtwĩgathagĩrĩria maũndũ-inĩ mothe: nĩ ũndũ wa kũũmĩrĩria maũndũ maingĩ; na gũkirĩrĩria mathĩĩna na moritũ, na mĩtangĩko;
But, in everything, commending ourselves as God’s ministers, —in much endurance, in tribulations, in necessities, in straits,
5 na ũndũ wa kũhũũrwo, na kuohwo njeera, na kũreherwo ngũĩ; na kũruta wĩra mũritũ, na kũũrwo nĩ toro ũtukũ, na ngʼaragu;
in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in toilings, in watchings, in fastings,
6 ningĩ nĩ ũndũ wa gũtũũra na ũthingu, na ũtaũku, na gũkirĩrĩria, na gũtugana thĩinĩ wa Roho Mũtheru, na kũgĩa na wendani ũtarĩ na ũhinga;
in sanctity, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in graciousness, in Holy Spirit,
7 o na kwaria ũhoro wa ma, na gũkorwo tũrĩ na hinya wa Ngai; nĩgũkorwo tũnyiitĩte indo cia mbaara cia ũthingu guoko-inĩ kwa ũrĩo na kwa ũmotho;
in love unfeigned, in discourse of truth, in power of God; through the weapons of righteousness on the right hand and left,
8 rĩmwe tũheagwo gĩtĩĩo, na rĩrĩa rĩngĩ tũgaconorwo, rĩmwe tũgacuukĩrwo maũndũ mooru na rĩngĩ mega; ningĩ o na tũrĩ andũ a ma, tũgatuuo a maheeni;
through glory and dishonour, through bad report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true,
9 rĩmwe tũgatuuo nĩtũũĩkaine, no rĩrĩa rĩngĩ tũgatuuo ta tũtoĩkaine; ningĩ tũkahaana ta tũraakua, no tũrĩ o muoyo; tũhũũragwo, no tũtiũragagwo;
as unknown, and yet well-known, as dying, and lo! we live, as disciplined, and yet not put to death,
10 o na tũngĩonwo ta tũrĩ na kĩeha, ithuĩ tũkoragwo tũkenete hĩndĩ ciothe; tuonekaga tũrĩ athĩĩni, no nĩtũtuaga andũ aingĩ itonga; tũtuagwo ta tũtarĩ kĩndũ, no indo ciothe nĩ ciitũ.
as grieving, yet, ever, rejoicing, as destitute, yet making, many, rich, as holding, nothing, and yet firmly holding, all things.
11 Akorinitho aya, tũramwarĩria hatarĩ ũndũ tũkũmũhitha, na tũkamũhingũrĩra ngoro ciitũ biũ.
Our mouth, is opened unto you, O Corinthians! our heart, hath become enlarged:
12 Ithuĩ nĩtũmuonetie wendo witũ kũna no inyuĩ mũtiratuonia wendo wanyu.
Ye are not straitened in us, but are straitened in your hearts’ affections;
13 O ta ũguo tũmwĩkĩte-rĩ, ndĩramwarĩria ta ciana ciakwa, o na inyuĩ hingũrai ngoro cianyu biũ.
Howbeit, by way of the like recompense—as, unto children, I speak, be enlarged, even, ye.
14 Mũtikae kuohanio na arĩa matetĩkĩtie ta mwĩkĩrĩtwo icooki rĩmwe nao. Tondũ-rĩ, ũthingu na waganu ingĩgwatanĩra atĩa? Kana ũtheri na nduma-rĩ, ingĩgĩa na ngwatanĩro ĩrĩkũ?
Be not getting diversely yoked with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness?
15 Kristũ na Beliali-rĩ, marĩ na ũiguano ũrĩkũ? Nake mũndũ ũrĩa wĩtĩkĩtie na ũrĩa ũtetĩkĩtie-rĩ, marĩ na ngwatanĩro ĩrĩkũ?
And what concord hath Christ with Beliar? Or what part hath a believer with an unbeliever?
And what agreement hath a shrine of God with idols? For, we, are [the] shrine of a God, that liveth: —even as God hath said—will dwell in them, and walk, and will be their God, and, they, shall be my people.
17 “Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, umai kũrĩ o na mwĩyamũranie nao, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani ekuuga. Mũtikahutie kĩndũ kĩrĩ thaahu, na niĩ nĩngũmwamũkĩra.”
Wherefore come ye forth out of their midst, and be separated, —saith [the] Lord, —and, one impure, do not touch; and, I, will give you welcome,
18 “Nĩngũtuĩka Ithe wanyu, na inyuĩ mũtuĩke ariũ akwa na aarĩ akwa, ũguo nĩguo Mwathani-Mwene-Hinya-Wothe ekuuga.”
And will become your Father, and, ye, shall become my sons and daughters, saith [the] Lord Almighty.
