1 Rĩrĩa mũthamaki-mũndũ-wa-nja wa Sheba aiguire ngumo ya Solomoni, agĩũka Jerusalemu kũmũgeria na ciũria nditũ. Agĩkinya arĩ na mũtongoro mũnene ma, wa ngamĩĩra ikuuĩte mahuti marĩa manungi wega, na thahabu nyingĩ mũno, na tũhiga twa goro, agĩthiĩ harĩ Solomoni, akĩaria nake maũndũ mothe marĩa maarĩ meciiria-inĩ make.
And the queen of Saba heard [of] the name of Solomon, and she came to Jerusalem with a very large force, to prove Solomon with hard questions, and [she had] camels bearing spices in abundance, and gold, and precious stones: and she came to Solomon, and told him all that was in her mind.
2 Nake Solomoni agĩcookia ciũria ciake ciothe; gũtirĩ ũndũ o na ũmwe aaremirwo nĩkũmũtaarĩria.
And Solomon told her all her words; and there passed not a word from Solomon which he told her not.
3 Rĩrĩa mũthamaki-mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio wa Sheba onire ũũgĩ wa Solomoni, o na nyũmba ya ũthamaki ĩrĩa aakĩte,
And the queen of Saba saw the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had built,
4 na irio iria ciarĩ metha-inĩ yake, na ũrĩa anene ake maikaraga metha-inĩ, na ũrĩa ndungata iria ciatungataga ciehumbĩte, na ũrĩa akuui ikombe mehumbĩte nguo ndaaya, na maruta ma njino marĩa aarutagĩra hekarũ-inĩ ya Jehova, agĩkĩgega mũno.
and the meat of the tables, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their raiment; and his cupbearers, and their apparel; and the whole burnt offerings which he offered up in the house of the Lord; then she was in ecstasy.
5 Akĩĩra mũthamaki atĩrĩ, “Ũhoro ũrĩa ndaiguire ndĩ o bũrũri-inĩ wakwa ũkoniĩ maũndũ marĩa wĩkĩte o na ũũgĩ waku nĩ ma ma.
And she said to the king, [It was] a true report which I heard in my land concerning your words, and concerning your wisdom.
6 No ndietĩkirie ũrĩa moigaga nginya rĩrĩa ndĩrokire na ndĩreyonera na maitho makwa niĩ mwene. Ti-itherũ, ũrĩa ndeerirwo o na ti nuthu ya ũnene wa ũũgĩ waku; nĩũkĩrĩte mũno makĩria ũhoro ũrĩa ndaiguĩte.
Yet I believed not the reports until I came, and my eyes saw: and, behold, the half of the abundance of your wisdom was not told me: you have exceeded the report which I heard.
7 Kaĩ gũkena nĩ andũ aku-ĩ! Ningĩ gũkena nĩ anene aku arĩa marũgamaga mbere yaku hĩndĩ ciothe makaiguaga ũũgĩ waku!
Blessed [are] your men, blessed [are] these your servants, who stand before you continually, and hear your wisdom.
8 Jehova Ngai waku arogoocwo, ũrĩa ũkenetio nĩwe, na agagũikarĩria gĩtĩ-inĩ gĩake kĩa ũnene ũrĩ mũthamaki wa gũthamaka nĩ ũndũ wa Jehova Ngai waku. Tondũ wa ũrĩa Ngai waku endete Isiraeli, na akeerirĩria kũmanyiitĩrĩra nginya tene-rĩ, nĩagũtuĩte mũthamaki ũmathamakagĩre, nĩgeetha ũtũũrie kĩhooto na ũthingu.”
Blessed be the Lord your God, who took pleasure in you, to set you upon his throne for a king, to the Lord your God: forasmuch as the Lord your God loved Israel to establish them for ever, therefore he has set you over them for a king to execute judgment and justice.
9 Ningĩ akĩhe mũthamaki taranda 120 cia thahabu, na mahuti marĩa manungi wega maingĩ mũno na tũhiga twa goro. Gũtiakoretwo mahuti manungi wega ta macio mũthamaki-mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio wa Sheba aaheire Mũthamaki Solomoni.
And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in very great abundance, and precious stones: and there were not [any where else] such spices as those which the queen of Saba gave king Solomon.
10 (Nao andũ a Hiramu na andũ a Solomoni nĩmarehire thahabu kuuma Ofiri; o na nĩmarehire mĩtĩ ya mĩthandari na tũhiga twa goro.
And the servants of Solomon and the servants of Chiram brought gold to Solomon out of Suphir, and pine timber, and precious stones.
11 Mũthamaki aahũthĩrire mĩthandari ĩyo gwaka ngathĩ cia hekarũ ya Jehova o na cia nyũmba ya ũthamaki, na gũthondekera aini inanda cia mũgeeto o na cia kĩnũbi cia kũhũũrwo. Gũtiarĩ indo ta icio cionetwo Juda mbere ĩyo.)
And the king made of the pine timber steps to the house of the Lord, and to the king's house, and harps and lutes for the singers: and such were not seen before in the land of Juda.
12 Mũthamaki Solomoni nĩaheire mũthamaki-mũndũ-wa-nja wa Sheba kĩrĩa gĩothe eerirĩirie na kĩrĩa eetirie; akĩmũhe indo makĩria ma iria we aamũreheire. Mũthamaki mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio akiumagara hamwe na ndungata ciake, agĩcooka bũrũri wake mwene.
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Saba all that she requested, besides all that she brought to king Solomon: and she returned to her [own] land.
13 Ũritũ wa thahabu ĩrĩa Solomoni aamũkagĩra o mwaka warĩ wa taranda 666,
And the weight of the gold that was brought to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
14 ĩtataranĩirio na igooti rĩrĩa rĩarehagwo nĩ athũgũri na onjorithia. Ningĩ athamaki othe a Arabia na abarũthi a bũrũri nĩmarehagĩra Solomoni thahabu na betha.
besides what the men who were regularly appointed and the merchants brought, and all the kings of Arabia and princes of the land: all brought gold and silver to king Solomon.
15 Mũthamaki Solomoni agĩthondeka ngo nene 200 cia thahabu hũũre; o ĩmwe yathondeketwo na ũritũ wa beka 600 cia thahabu.
And king Solomon made two hundred shields of beaten gold: there were six hundred [shekels] of pure gold to one shield.
16 Ningĩ agĩthondeka ngo 300 cia thahabu hũũre, o ĩmwe yathondeketwo na thahabu ya ũritũ wa beka 300. Mũthamaki agĩciiga Nyũmba ya Ũthamaki ĩrĩa yetagwo Mũtitũ wa Lebanoni.
And three hundred buckles of beaten gold: [the weight] of three hundred gold shekels went to one buckler: and the king placed them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17 Ningĩ mũthamaki agĩthondeka gĩtĩ kĩnene kĩa ũthamaki kĩgemetio mwena wa na thĩinĩ na mĩguongo, na mwena wa na nja gĩkagemio na thahabu therie.
And the king made a great throne of ivory, and he gilded it with pure gold.
18 Gĩtĩ kĩu kĩa ũnene kĩarĩ na ngathĩ ya makinya matandatũ, na gaturwa ga thahabu ga gũkinyithia magũrũ kanyiitithanĩtio nakĩo. Mĩena-inĩ yeerĩ ya gĩtĩ kĩu yarĩ na handũ ha kũigĩrĩra moko, na nĩ haarĩ na mĩhiano ya mĩrũũthi ĩrũgamĩte mĩena-inĩ yeerĩ ya moko macio.
And [there were] six steps to the throne, riveted with gold, and elbows on either side of the seat of the throne, and two lions standing by the elbows:
19 Mĩhiano ikũmi na ĩĩrĩ ya mĩrũũthi yarũgamĩtio ngathĩ-inĩ ĩyo ya makinya matandatũ, narĩo o ikinya rĩa ngathĩ rĩarĩ na mũhiano wa mũrũũthi o mwena. Gũtiarĩ gĩtĩ kĩngĩ ta kĩu gĩathondeketwo mbere ĩyo ũthamaki-inĩ ũngĩ o wothe.
and twelve lions standing there on the six steps on each side. There was not the like in any [other] kingdom.
20 Indo ciothe iria Mũthamaki Solomoni aanyuuagĩra ciarĩ cia thahabu, na indo ciothe cia nyũmba iria ciarĩ Nyũmba ya Ũthamaki ĩrĩa yetagwo Mũtitũ wa Lebanoni ciarĩ cia thahabu therie. Gũtiarĩ kĩndũ gĩathondeketwo na betha, nĩgũkorwo betha yatuagwo kĩndũ gĩtarĩ bata mũno matukũ-inĩ macio ma Solomoni.
And all king Solomon's vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were covered with gold: silver was not thought anything of in the days of Solomon.
21 Mũthamaki aarĩ na marikabu nyingĩ cia wonjoria iria ciarũgamagĩrĩrwo nĩ andũ a Hiramu. Ciacookaga o riita rĩmwe thĩinĩ wa mĩaka ĩtatũ, ikuuĩte thahabu, na betha, na mĩguongo, na ngĩma, na nũgũ.
For a ship went for the king to Tharsis with the servants of Chiram: once every three years came vessels from Tharsis to the king, laden with gold, and silver, and ivory, and apes.
22 Mũthamaki Solomoni aarĩ na ũtonga na ũũgĩ mũingĩ gũkĩra athamaki arĩa angĩ othe a thĩ.
And Solomon exceeded all [other] kings both in riches and wisdom.
23 Athamaki othe a thĩ nĩmacaragia ũrĩa mangĩona Solomoni nĩguo maigue ũũgĩ ũrĩa Ngai eekĩrĩte ngoro-inĩ yake.
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24 Andũ arĩa mookaga kũmuona mwaka o mwaka nĩmamũrehagĩra iheo, nacio nĩ indo cia betha na thahabu, na nguo ndaaya, na indo cia mbaara, na mahuti manungi wega, na mbarathi na nyũmbũ.
And they brought every one his gifts, silver vessels and golden vessels, and raiment, myrrh and spices, horses and mules, a rate every year.
25 Solomoni aarĩ na nyũmba 4,000 cia mbarathi na ngaari cia ita, na mbarathi 12,000 iria ciaigĩtwo matũũra-inĩ manene ma ngaari cia ita, na akaiga iria ingĩ hakuhĩ nake kũu Jerusalemu.
And Solomon had four thousand mares for chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he put them in the chariot cities, and with the king in Jerusalem.
26 Nake nĩathaga athamaki othe kuuma Rũũĩ rwa Farati nginya bũrũri wa Afilisti, o nginya mũhaka-inĩ wa bũrũri wa Misiri.
And he rules over all the kings from the river even to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.
27 Mũthamaki nĩatũmire betha cingĩhe Jerusalemu o ta mahiga, nayo mĩtarakwa yarĩ mĩingĩ o ta mĩtĩ ya mĩkũyũ ĩrĩa ĩrĩ magũrũ-inĩ ma irĩma.
And the king made gold and silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars as the sycamore trees in the plain for abundance.
28 Mbarathi cia Solomoni ciarehetwo kuuma bũrũri wa Misiri, na kuuma mabũrũri marĩa mangĩ mothe.
And Solomon imported horses from Egypt, and from every [other] country.
29 Maũndũ marĩa mangĩ makoniĩ wathani wa Solomoni, kuuma o kĩambĩrĩria nginya kĩrĩkĩro-rĩ, githĩ matiandĩkĩtwo maandĩko-inĩ ma Nathani ũrĩa mũnabii, na ũrathi-inĩ wa Ahija ũrĩa Mũshiloni, na cioneki-inĩ cia Ido ũrĩa wonaga maũndũ makoniĩ Jeroboamu mũrũ wa Nebati?
And the rest of the acts of Solomon, the first and the last, behold, these are written in the words of Nathan the prophet, and in the words of Achia the Selonite, and in the visions of Joel the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nabat.
30 Solomoni aathamakĩire Isiraeli rĩothe arĩ Jerusalemu mĩaka mĩrongo ĩna.
And Solomon reigned over all Israel forty years.
31 Agĩcooka akĩhurũka hamwe na maithe make, na agĩthikwo itũũra inene rĩa ithe Daudi. Nake mũriũ Rehoboamu agĩtuĩka mũthamaki ithenya rĩake.
And Solomon fell asleep, and they buried him in the city of David his father: and Roboam his son reigned in his stead.
