Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel.
For the king had taken counsel, and his officials, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.
3 Matiahotete kũmĩkũngũĩra ihinda-inĩ rĩayo tondũ gũtiarĩ na athĩnjĩri-Ngai a kũigana arĩa meetheretie, na andũ mationganĩte Jerusalemu.
For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
4 Mũbango ũcio nĩwonekire wagĩrĩire harĩ mũthamaki o na harĩ kĩũngano gĩothe.
The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.
5 Nao magĩtua atĩ gũthiĩ kwanĩrĩrwo Isiraeli guothe, kuuma Birishiba nginya Dani, andũ meetwo moke Jerusalemu makũngũĩre Bathaka ya Jehova Ngai wa Isiraeli kuo. Ndĩakoretwo ĩgĩkũngũĩrwo nĩ andũ aingĩ kũringana na ũrĩa kwandĩkĩtwo.
So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.
6 Kũrũmanĩrĩra na watho wa mũthamaki, atwari a marũa magĩthiĩ Isiraeli na Juda guothe marĩ na marũa kuuma kũrĩ mũthamaki na kuuma kũrĩ anene ake, marĩa maandĩkĩtwo atĩrĩ: “Andũ a Isiraeli, cookererai Jehova Ngai wa Iburahĩmu, na Isaaka, na Isiraeli, nĩguo nake amũcookerere inyuĩ arĩa mũtigaire, inyuĩ mũhonokete kuuma guoko-inĩ kwa athamaki a Ashuri.
So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his officers throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, "children of Israel, turn again to Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant of you who have escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
7 Mũtigatuĩke ta maithe manyu kana ariũ a maithe manyu, arĩa maagire kwĩhokeka harĩ Jehova Ngai wa maithe mao, nake akĩmatua kĩndũ kĩa magigi ta ũrĩa mũreyonera.
Do not be like your fathers, and like your brothers, who trespassed against Jehovah, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.
8 Mũtikoomie ciongo cianyu ta ũrĩa maithe manyu meekire; mwĩheanei harĩ Jehova. Ũkai handũ-harĩa-haamũre, harĩa we aamũrĩte nginya tene. Tungatĩrai Jehova Ngai wanyu, nĩgeetha marakara make mahiũ mamweherere.
Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves to Jehovah, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Jehovah your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.
9 Mũngĩcookerera Jehova-rĩ, hĩndĩ ĩyo ariũ a maithe manyu na ciana cianyu no maiguĩrwo tha nĩ arĩa maamatahire, na nĩmagacooka bũrũri ũyũ, nĩgũkorwo Jehova Ngai wanyu nĩ mũtugi na nĩ mũigua tha. Mũngĩmũcookerera ndakamũhutatĩria ũthiũ.”
For if you turn again to Jehovah, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Jehovah your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him."
10 Atwari a marũa magĩthiĩ itũũra o itũũra kũu Efiraimu na Manase, o nginya Zebuluni, no rĩrĩ, andũ makĩmanyũrũria, na makĩmathekerera.
So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun: but they ridiculed them, and mocked them.
11 O na gũkĩrĩ ũguo-rĩ, andũ amwe a Asheri, na Manase, na Zebuluni makĩĩnyiihia na magĩthiĩ Jerusalemu.
Nevertheless some from Asher and from Manasseh and from Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.
12 Ningĩ o na kũu Juda guoko kwa Ngai kwarĩ igũrũ rĩa andũ, nake akĩmahe ũrũmwe wa meciiria ma gwathĩkĩra ũrĩa mũthamaki na ndungata ciake maathanĩte, marũmĩrĩire kiugo kĩa Jehova.
Also in Judah came the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the leaders by the word of Jehovah.
13 Kĩrĩndĩ kĩingĩ mũno gĩkĩũngana kũu Jerusalemu nĩguo gĩkũngũĩre Gĩathĩ kĩa Mĩgate ĩtarĩ Mĩĩkĩre Ndawa ya Kũimbia mweri wa keerĩ.
Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.
14 Makĩeheria igongona iria ciarĩ kũu Jerusalemu o na makĩeheria igongona cia gũcinĩra ũbumba, magĩthiĩ magĩciikia Gĩtuamba gĩa Kidironi.
They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the Kidron Valley.
Then they killed the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into the house of Jehovah.
16 Ningĩ makĩambĩrĩria ũtungata wao wa o mũthenya o ta ũrĩa kwandĩkĩtwo Watho-inĩ wa Musa mũndũ wa Ngai. Athĩnjĩri-Ngai makĩminjaminja thakame ĩrĩa maanengereirio nĩ Alawii.
They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 Na tondũ nĩ kwarĩ na andũ aingĩ kĩrĩndĩ-inĩ kĩu mateetheretie-rĩ, Alawii nĩo maaheirwo wĩra wa gũthĩnja nginya tũtũrũme twa Bathaka twa andũ acio othe maarĩ na thaahu, tondũ matingĩamũrĩire Jehova tũtũrũme twao.
For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves: therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Jehovah.
18 O na akorwo andũ aingĩ arĩa mookĩte kuuma Efiraimu, na Manase, na Isakaru, na Zebuluni matietheretie-rĩ, nĩmarĩire Bathaka matekũrũmĩrĩra ũrĩa maandĩko moigĩte. No Hezekia akĩmahoera, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Jehova, o we ũrĩa mwega, arorekera mũndũ o wothe
For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, "May the good Jehovah pardon everyone
who sets his heart to seek God, Jehovah, the God of his fathers, even if they aren't clean according to the purification of the sanctuary."
20 Nake Jehova akĩigua ihooya rĩa Hezekia, akĩhonia andũ acio.
Jehovah listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 Nao andũ a Isiraeli arĩa maarĩ kũu Jerusalemu magĩkũngũĩra Gĩathĩ kĩa Mĩgate ĩtarĩ Mĩĩkĩre Ndawa ya Kũimbia marĩ na gĩkeno kĩnene mĩthenya mũgwanja, nao Alawii na athĩnjĩri-Ngai makainagĩra Jehova o mũthenya marĩ na inanda cia kũgooca Jehova.
The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised Jehovah day by day, singing with loud instruments to Jehovah.
Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Jehovah. So they completed the seven days of the feast, offering sacrifices of peace offerings, and making confession to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.
23 Kĩũngano kĩu gĩothe gĩgĩcooka gĩkĩiguanĩra gĩkũngũĩre gĩathĩ kĩu mĩthenya ĩngĩ mũgwanja; nĩ ũndũ ũcio magĩkũngũĩra mĩthenya ĩngĩ mũgwanja makenete mũno.
The whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days; and they kept another seven days with gladness.
For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the leaders gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep. And a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
25 Kĩũngano gĩothe kĩa Juda gĩgĩkena hamwe na athĩnjĩri-Ngai na Alawii na andũ arĩa othe monganĩte moimĩte Isiraeli, hamwe na andũ a kũngĩ arĩa mookĩte kuuma Isiraeli o na arĩa maatũũraga Juda.
All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.
So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
27 Athĩnjĩri-Ngai na Alawii makĩrũgama, makĩrathima andũ, nake Ngai akĩmaigua, nĩgũkorwo ihooya rĩao nĩrĩakinyire o igũrũ, gĩikaro gĩake gĩtheru.
Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.
