< 1 Athesalonike 3 >
1 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, rĩrĩa twaremirwo nĩgũkirĩrĩria-rĩ, nĩtuonire arĩ wega tũtigwo tũrĩ ithuiki kũu Athene.
Wherefore, no longer concealing our anxiety, we were well-pleased to be left in Athens, alone,
And sent Timothy—our brother, and God’s minister in the glad-message of the Christ—that he might confirm and console you over your faith,
3 nĩguo gũtikagĩe mũndũ ũngĩagagio nĩ magerio macio. Inyuĩ nĩmũũĩ wega atĩ nĩmo twathĩrĩirio.
That, no one, might be shrinking back in these tribulations. For ye, yourselves, know, that, hereunto, are we appointed;
4 Ti-itherũ o na hĩndĩ ĩrĩa twarĩ na inyuĩ nĩtwamwĩraga kaingĩ atĩ no nginya tũnyariirwo. O ta ũrĩa mũũĩ atĩ ũguo noguo gwacookire gũgĩtuĩka.
For, even when we were with you, we told you beforehand—we are destined to suffer tribulation! even as it also came to pass, and ye know.
5 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, rĩrĩa ndaremirwo nĩgũkirĩrĩria rĩngĩ-rĩ, ngĩtũmana nĩguo menye ũhoro wa wĩtĩkio wanyu. Nĩgũkorwo nĩndetigagĩra gũtigakorwo atĩ hihi mũgerania nĩamũgeretie, naguo wĩra witũ ũtuĩke wa tũhũ.
For this cause, I also, no longer concealing my anxiety, sent, that I might get to know your faith, lest by any means he that tempteth, should have tempted you, and, in vain, should have been our toil.
6 No rĩrĩ, rĩu Timotheo nĩ okĩte kũrĩ ithuĩ oimĩte kũrĩ inyuĩ, na agatũrehere ũhoro mwega ũkoniĩ wĩtĩkio na wendani wanyu. Nĩatwĩrĩte atĩ nĩmũtũririkanaga hĩndĩ ciothe mũkenete, na atĩ nĩmwĩriragĩria gũtuona, o ta ũrĩa o na ithuĩ twĩriragĩria kũmuona.
But, when, just now, Timothy came unto us, from you, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, —and that ye have good remembrance of us, continually, longing to see, us, —even as, we also, to see you,
For this cause, were we consoled, brethren, over you, in all our necessity and tribulation, through your faith;
8 Nĩgũkorwo rĩu tũgũtũũra muoyo kũna, kuona atĩ nĩmwĩhaandĩte wega thĩinĩ wa Mwathani.
Because, now, we live, —if only, ye, stand fast in the Lord.
9 Tũngĩhota atĩa gũcookeria Ngai ngaatho cia kũigana nĩ ũndũ wanyu, tondũ wa gĩkeno kĩrĩa gĩothe tũrĩ nakĩo mbere ya Ngai witũ nĩ ũndũ wanyu?
For what thanksgiving can we render back, unto God, concerning you, on occasion of all the joy wherewith we rejoice, for your sakes, before our God?—
Night and day, making very abundant entreaties, that we may see your face, and fit in the things which are lacking in your faith?
11 Rĩu-rĩ, Ngai mwene, o Ithe witũ, na Mwathani witũ Jesũ, marotũhingũrĩra njĩra tũhote gũũka kũrĩ inyuĩ.
Now may, our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus, make straight our way unto you:
12 Mwathani arotũma wendani wanyu wongerereke na ũiyũrĩrĩre harĩ o mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ, na harĩ andũ arĩa angĩ othe, o ta ũrĩa o na ithuĩ tũmwendete.
And, you, may the Lord cause to abound and excel in your love one toward another, and toward all, —even as, we, do toward you:
13 Ningĩ aroĩkĩra ngoro cianyu hinya nĩgeetha mũgaakorwo mũtarĩ na ũcuuke, na mũrĩ atheru mbere ya Ngai, o we Ithe witũ, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Mwathani witũ Jesũ agooka hamwe na andũ ake arĩa atheru othe.
To the end he may confirms your hearts, faultless in holiness, before our God and Father, in the Presence of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
