< 1 Petero 5 >
Elders, therefore, among you, I exhort—[I] who am their co-elder and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also, in the glory about to be revealed, have, a share; —
2 Atĩrĩrĩ, tuĩkai arĩithi a rũũru rwa Ngai rũrĩa mwĩhokeirwo, mũgĩtungataga mũrĩ arori, na ti tondũ wa kũringĩrĩrio, no nĩ ũndũ wa kwĩyendera, o ta ũrĩa Ngai endaga mũtuĩke; mũtegũkorokera mbeeca, no mũtungatage mũrĩ na kĩyo mũno;
Shepherd the beloved flock of God, which is among you, —not by compulsion, but by choice, nor yet for base gain, but of a ready mind, —
3 mũtigetue anene a andũ arĩa mwĩhokeirwo, no mũtuĩke cionereria njega kũrĩ rũũru rũu.
Nor yet as lording it over the allotted portions, but becoming, ensamples, to the beloved flock;
4 Na hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Mũrĩithi Ũrĩa Mũnene akaaguũranĩrio-rĩ, nĩmũkaheo thũmbĩ ya riiri ĩrĩa ĩtagatheũka o na rĩ.
And, when the Chief Shepherd is manifested, ye shall bear away, the unfading crown of glory.
5 O ũguo no taguo o na inyuĩ aanake mwagĩrĩirwo nĩ gwathĩkĩra andũ arĩa akũrũ. Inyuĩ othe-rĩ, ikaragai mwĩnyiihanĩirie mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ, tondũ-rĩ, “Ngai nĩareganaga na arĩa etĩĩi no arĩa menyiihagia nĩamaheaga wega wake.”
In like manner, ye younger men—submit yourselves unto elders; —All, however, one towards another, gird on humility; because, God, against the haughty, arrayeth himself, whereas, unto the lowly, he giveth favour.
6 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio mwĩnyiihagiei, mũrĩ guoko-inĩ kwa Ngai kũrĩa kũrĩ hinya, nĩguo akaamũtũũgĩria hĩndĩ ĩrĩa njagĩrĩru yakinya.
Be made lowly, therefore, under the strong hand of God, that he may lift, you, up in due time, —
7 Na mũmũrekagĩrĩrie maũndũ manyu mothe marĩa mamũtangaga, tondũ nĩwe ũmũrũmbũyagia.
All your anxiety, casting upon him, because he careth for you.
8 Ikaragai mwĩiguĩte na mwĩhũgage. Tondũ-rĩ, thũ yanyu mũcukani ĩcangacangaga ta mũrũũthi ũkũrarama ũgĩcaria mũndũ wa gũtambuura.
Be sober! be watchful! Your slanderous adversary, as a roaring lion, is walking about—seeking to devour:
9 No rĩrĩ, mũmwĩtiirie, mwĩhaandĩte wega thĩinĩ wa wĩtĩkio, tondũ nĩmũmenyete atĩ ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe wanyu gũkũ thĩ guothe maranyariirĩka o ta inyuĩ.
Whom resist, steadfast in your faith, knowing that, the same sufferings, in your brotherhood that is in the world, are being accomplished.
10 Nake Ngai mwene wega wothe, o we ũrĩa wamwĩtire riiri-inĩ wake wa tene na tene thĩinĩ wa Kristũ, we mwene nĩakamũcookereria, na amwĩkĩre hinya, na amũtue arũmu na mũtangĩenyenyeka, thuutha wa kũnyariirĩka kahinda kanini. (aiōnios )
Howbeit, the God of all favour—who hath called you unto his age-abiding glory in Christ—when, for a little, ye have suffered, Himself, will adjust, confirm, strengthen: — (aiōnios )
11 Naguo hinya ũrotuĩka wake tene na tene. Ameni. (aiōn )
Unto him, be the dominion, unto the ages. Amen!
By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I account him, have I briefly written, unto you, exhorting and adding testimony—that, this, is the true favour of God—within which, stand ye fast!
13 Kanitha ũrĩa ũrĩ gũkũ Babuloni, ũrĩa ũthuurĩtwo hamwe na inyuĩ, nĩwamũgeithia, o nake mũrũ wakwa Mariko nĩamũgeithia.
She who, in Babylon, is co-elect, and Mark my son, salute you:
14 Geithaniai mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ na ngeithi cia kĩmumunyano iria cia wendo. Thayũ ũrogĩa na inyuĩ inyuothe arĩa mũrĩ thĩinĩ wa Kristũ.
Salute ye one another with a kiss of love. Peace unto you all who are in Christ.
