It is generally reported that there is incest among you; and such incest as is not even among the heathens--that one has his father's wife.
2 Na inyuĩ mũgakenera ũndũ ũcio! Githĩ mũtiagĩrĩirwo nĩgũkorwo mũiyũrĩtwo nĩ kĩeha, nĩguo mũndũ ũcio wĩkĩte ũguo mũmũingate, ehere ngwatanĩro-inĩ yanyu?
And you are puffed up, and have not rather bewailed, so that he who has done this work might be taken from among you.
Wherefore, I, indeed, as absent in the body yet present in spirit, have already, as present, judged him who committed this act.
My sentence is this: You being assembled, my spirit also being with you; in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, with the power of the Lord Jesus Christ,
5 mũndũ ũcio mũneanei kũrĩ Shaitani, nĩgeetha mehia make ma kĩĩmwĩrĩ maniinwo, naguo roho wake ũkaahonokio mũthenya ũrĩa wa Mwathani.
deliver this very person up to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Mwĩgaatho ũcio wanyu ti mwega. Kaĩ inyuĩ mũtooĩ atĩ ndawa nini ya kũimbia mĩgate nĩĩtũmaga kĩmere gĩothe kĩimbe?
Your boasting is not becoming. Do you not know, that a little leaven leavens the whole mass?
Nĩgũkorwo Kristũ, o we gatũrũme gaitũ ka Bathaka, nĩarĩkĩtie kũrutwo igongona.
Cleanse out, therefore, the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, seeing you are without leaven; for even our passover, Christ is sacrificed for us.
Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness: but with unleavened sincerity and truth.
9 Nĩndĩmwandĩkĩire marũa-inĩ makwa ngamwĩra mũtigage kũgĩaga thiritũ na andũ arĩa ahũũri maraya,
I wrote you, in that epistle, not to associate with the vicious;
10 ũguo ti kuuga mweheranĩre na andũ a thĩ ĩno, arĩa ahũũri maraya, kana arĩa akoroku, kana arĩa atunyani, o na kana arĩa ahooi mĩhianano. Mũngĩĩka ũguo-rĩ, no mũkiumire gũkũ thĩ.
but I did not mean in general the fornicators of this world, the avaricious, the rapacious, or the idolaters; seeing, then, indeed, you must go out of the world.
11 No rĩu, ndĩramwandĩkĩra nĩguo mũtikagĩe thiritũ na mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ ũrĩa wĩĩtaga mũrũ kana mwarĩ wa Ithe witũ, no nĩ mũhũũri maraya, kana nĩ mũkoroku, kana nĩ mũhooi mĩhianano kana nĩ mũndũ wa gũcambania, o na kana nĩ mũrĩĩu wa njoohi kana nĩ mũtunyani. Mũndũ ta ũcio mũtikarĩĩanĩre nake.
But now I write to you, if any one, called a brother, be a fornicator, or a covetous person, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; not to associate, not even to eat, with such a person.
12 Ũkĩrĩ wĩra wakwa gũciirithia arĩa matarĩ a kanitha? Githĩ inyuĩ mũtikĩagĩrĩirwo nĩgũciirithia arĩa marĩ a kanitha?
For what have I to do to pronounce sentence on them also who are without? Do not you judge them who are within?
13 Ngai nĩwe ũgaaciirithia arĩa marĩ nja. “Ingatai mũndũ ũcio mwaganu oime thĩinĩ wanyu.”
But them are without, God judges. Therefore, put away from among yourselves the wicked person.
