< 1 Akorinitho 4 >

1 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, andũ magĩrĩirwo nĩgũtuonaga ta ndungata cia Kristũ, na ta tũrĩ andũ arĩa mehokeirwo maũndũ ma hitho ma Ngai.
So us should regard a man as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Rĩu nĩkũbataranĩtie atĩ andũ arĩa mehokeirwo maũndũ no nginya monanie atĩ nĩ ehokeku.
(In this case *N(k)O*) moreover it is required in the stewards that faithful one may be found.
3 Ndingĩmaka o na hanini ingĩtuĩrwo ciira nĩ inyuĩ, kana nduĩrwo nĩ igooti rĩa andũ o na rĩrĩkũ; ti-itherũ o na niĩ mwene ndingĩĩtuĩra ciira.
Me myself however to [the] smallest matter it is that by you I may be examined or by a human court; In fact neither myself do I examine.
4 Niĩ mwene ndirĩ na ũndũ ingĩĩcuukĩra, no ũndũ ũcio ndũngĩtũma nduĩke atĩ ndirĩ na mahĩtia. Mwathani nĩwe ũnduagĩra ciira.
No [thing] for against myself I have been conscious of; yet not by this have I been justified; the [One] however judging me [the] Lord is.
So then not before [the] time anything do judge until when may have come the Lord, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the motives of the hearts; and then the praise will come to each from God.
These things now, brothers, I have applied to myself and Apollos on account of you, so that in us you may learn not beyond (what [things] *N(k)O*) has been written (to think *k*) that not one for one you be puffed up over the other.
7 Nĩ ũndũ-rĩ, nũũ ũtũmĩte wĩone ũrĩ na ngũũrani na mũndũ ũngĩ o wothe? Nĩ kĩĩ ũrĩ nakĩo ũtaaheirwo? Na angĩkorwo nĩwaheirwo-rĩ, ũragĩĩtĩĩa nĩkĩ ta atarĩ kũheo waheirwo?
Who for you makes different? What now have you which not you did receive? If now even you did receive [it], why boast you as not having received [it]?
8 Nĩmũrĩkĩtie kũgĩa na kĩrĩa gĩothe mwendaga! Nĩmũrĩkĩtie gũtonga! Nĩmũtuĩkĩte athamaki, ithuĩ tũtarĩ ho! Naarĩ korwo ti-itherũ nĩmwatuĩkire athamaki kũna nĩguo tũtuĩke a gũthamaka hamwe na inyuĩ!
Already satiated you are, already you have been enriched, apart from us you reigned; and I wish that really you did reign, so that also we ourselves you may reign with.
9 Nĩgũkorwo ndĩrona atĩ ithuĩ atũmwo Ngai atũigĩte handũ tũrĩonekaga tũrĩ thuutha wa andũ arĩa angĩ othe, na ta andũ matuĩrĩirwo kũũragĩrwo thĩinĩ wa kĩhaaro kĩa mathako. Nĩtũtuĩtwo kĩndũ gĩa kwĩrorerwo nĩ thĩ yothe, kũrĩ araika o na kũrĩ andũ.
I think for (that *k*) God us apostles last has exhibited as appointed to death, because a spectacle we have become to the world both to angels and to men.
10 Ithuĩ tũrĩ irimũ nĩ ũndũ wa Kristũ, no inyuĩ mũrĩ andũ oogĩ mũno thĩinĩ wa Kristũ! Ithuĩ nĩ kwaga twagĩte hinya, no inyuĩ mũrĩ na hinya! Inyuĩ nĩmũheetwo gĩtĩĩo, no ithuĩ nĩtũimĩtwo gĩtĩĩo!
We ourselves [are] fools on account of Christ you yourselves however wise in Christ; we ourselves weak you yourselves however strong; You yourselves honored we ourselves however without honor.
11 Nginya ihinda rĩĩrĩ ithuĩ tũrĩ tũtũũrĩte tũhũũtaga na tũkanyoota, na tũgatarũkĩrwo nĩ nguo, ningĩ nĩtũhũũrĩtwo mũno, o na tũgaikara tũtarĩ na mĩciĩ.
As far as the present hour both we hunger and thirst and are poorly clad and are buffeted and wander homeless
12 Ningĩ nĩtũrutaga wĩra na moko maitũ tũrĩ na kĩyo. Rĩrĩa twarumwo-rĩ, ithuĩ tũkarathima; na rĩrĩa twanyariirwo, tũkomĩrĩria;
and we toil working with [our] own hands; Being reviled we bless, being persecuted we endure,
13 o na rĩrĩa twacambio, tũcookagia ũhoro na ũhooreri. Nginya ihinda rĩĩrĩ tũtuĩkĩte gĩko gĩa thĩ, tũgatuĩka mahuti ma gũkũ thĩ.
(being defamed *N(k)O*) we entreat, As [the] scum of the earth we have become, of all [the] refuse until now.
14 Ndiraandĩka marũa maya nĩguo ndĩmũconore, no nĩguo ndĩmũtaare mũrĩ ta ciana ciakwa nyendete mũno.
Not shaming you do I write these things, but as children of mine beloved (admonishing [you]. *N(k)O*)
If for ten thousand guardians you shall have in Christ yet not many fathers; in for Christ Jesus through the gospel I myself you begot.
16 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndamũthaitha mwĩgerekanie na niĩ.
I exhort therefore you, imitators of mine do become.
On account of this I sent to you Timothy, who is my child beloved and faithful in [the] Lord, who you will remind of the ways of mine that [are] in Christ (Jesus, *NO*) even as everywhere in every church I teach.
18 Amwe anyu nĩmatuĩkĩte etĩĩi, makona ta itarooka kũu kũrĩ inyuĩ.
As to not coming now of me to you were puffed up some;
19 No nĩngũũka kũrĩ inyuĩ narua, akorwo nĩ kwenda kwa Mwathani, na hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩngatuĩria ũrĩa andũ aya etĩĩi maaragia, o hamwe na ũhoti ũrĩa marĩ naguo.
I will come however soon to you, if the Lord wishes, and I will find out not the talk of those puffed up but the power.
Not for in word the kingdom of God [is] but in power.
What desire you? With a rod I may come to you or in love a spirit then of gentleness?
