1 Ikundi cia arangĩri a ihingo: kuuma kũrĩ andũ a Kora maarĩ: Meshelemia mũrũ wa Kore, ũmwe wa ariũ a Asafu.
For the courses of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
2 Ariũ a Meshelemia maarĩ: Zekaria, na nĩwe warĩ wa irigithathi, na Jediaeli aarĩ wa keerĩ, na Zebadia aarĩ wa gatatũ, na Jathinieli aarĩ wa kana,
And Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 na Elamu aarĩ wa gatano, na Jehohanani aarĩ wa gatandatũ, na Eliehoenai aarĩ wa mũgwanja.
Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 Ariũ a Obedi-Edomu maarĩ: Shemaia, na nĩwe warĩ wa irigithathi, na Jehozabadu aarĩ wa keerĩ, na Joa aarĩ wa gatatũ, na Sakaru aarĩ wa kana, na Nethaneli aarĩ wa gatano,
And Obed-edom had sons: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,
5 na Amieli aarĩ wa gatandatũ, na Isakaru aarĩ wa mũgwanja, na Peulethai aarĩ wa kanana, nĩgũkorwo Ngai nĩarathimĩte Obedi-Edomu.
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.
6 Mũriũ Shemaia o nake aarĩ na ariũ ake, arĩa maarĩ atongoria thĩinĩ wa nyũmba ya ithe wao, tondũ maarĩ andũ ehoti.
Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.
7 Ariũ a Shemaia maarĩ: Othini, na Refaeli, na Obedi, na Elizabadu, nao andũ a nyũmba yao, Elihu, na Semakia, maarĩ andũ ehoti.
The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.
8 Acio othe maarĩ a njiaro cia Obedi-Edomu; o hamwe na ariũ ao, na andũ a nyũmba yao maarĩ andũ ehoti, na maarĩ na hinya wa kũruta wĩra. Njiaro cia Obedi-Edomu othe maarĩ andũ 62.
All these were of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service; threescore and two of Obed-edom.
9 Meshelemia nĩ aarĩ na ariũ ake na andũ a nyũmba yao, arĩa maarĩ andũ ehoti, othe maarĩ andũ 18.
And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.
10 Ariũ a Hosa ũrĩa Mũmerari maarĩ: Shimuri na nĩwe warĩ mũtongoria wao (o na gũtuĩka tiwe warĩ irigithathi, ithe nĩamũthuurĩte atuĩke mũtongoria wao),
Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief (for though he was not the first-born, yet his father made him chief),
11 Hilikia aarĩ wa keerĩ, nake Tabalia aarĩ wa gatatũ, na Zekaria aarĩ wa kana. Ariũ a Hosa na andũ a nyũmba yao othe maarĩ andũ 13.
Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
12 Ikundi icio cia arangĩri a ihingo ciĩtanĩtio na anene ao, ciarĩ na mawĩra ma gũtungata thĩinĩ wa hekarũ ya Jehova o ta andũ arĩa angĩ a nyũmba yao.
Of these were the courses of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brethren, to minister in the house of Jehovah.
13 Andũ ethĩ na andũ akũrũ o ũndũ ũmwe nĩmacuukĩire o kĩhingo mĩtĩ kũringana na nyũmba ciao.
And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.
14 Mũtĩ wa Kĩhingo kĩa Irathĩro wagwĩrĩire Shelemia. Ningĩ magĩcuuka mĩtĩ nĩ ũndũ wa mũriũ Zekaria, ũrĩa warĩ mũheani kĩrĩra mũũgĩ, nake akĩgwĩrwo nĩ mũtĩ wa Kĩhingo gĩa Gathigathini.
And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a discreet counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
15 Mũtĩ wa Kĩhingo gĩa Gũthini wagwĩrĩire Obedi-Edomu, naguo mũtĩ wa nyũmba-ya-kũigwo-indo ũkĩgwĩra ariũ ake.
To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the store-house.
16 Mĩtĩ ya Kĩhingo gĩa Ithũĩro, na Kĩhingo gĩa Shalekethu mwena wa njĩra ya rũgongo, yagwĩrĩire Shupimu na Hosa. Arangĩri maaikaraga metanĩrĩire.
To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goeth up, watch against watch.
17 O mũthenya gwakoragwo na Alawii atandatũ mwena wa irathĩro, na Alawii ana mwena wa gathigathini, na Alawii ana mwena wa gũthini, na Alawii eerĩ mahinda mothe nyũmba-inĩ ya kũigwo-indo.
Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the store-house two and two.
18 Nayo nja ya mwena wa ithũĩro, Alawii ana maikaraga njĩra-inĩ, na Alawii eerĩ maikaraga kũu nja.
For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.
19 Icio nĩcio ciarĩ ikundi cia arangĩri a ihingo arĩa maarĩ a njiaro cia Kora na Merari.
These were the courses of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
20 Alawii arĩa angĩ nĩo maarũgamagĩrĩra igĩĩna cia nyũmba ya Ngai na igĩĩna cia indo iria nyamũre.
And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
21 Njiaro cia Ladani, arĩa maarĩ Agerishoni na ũndũ wa Ladani, na maarĩ atongoria a nyũmba cia Ladani ũcio Mũgerishoni, maarĩ: Jehieli,
The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ [houses] belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22 na ariũ a Jehieli, na Zethamu, na mũrũ wa nyina Joeli. Acio nĩo maarũgamagĩrĩra igĩĩna cia hekarũ ya Jehova.
The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Jehovah.
23 Kuuma kũrĩ andũ a Amuramu, na Iziharu, na Hebironi, na Uzieli maarĩ:
Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:
24 Shubaeli wa rũciaro rwa Gerishomu mũrũ wa Musa, na nĩwe warĩ mũnene wa kũrũgamĩrĩra igĩĩna.
and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.
25 Andũ a nyũmba yao kuuma kũrĩ Eliezeri: maarĩ mũriũ Rehabia, na Jeshia aarĩ mũriũ wa Rehabia, na Joramu aarĩ mũriũ wa Jeshia, na Zikiri aarĩ mũriũ wa Joramu, na Shelomithu aarĩ mũriũ wa Zikiri.
And his brethren: of Eliezer [came] Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
26 Shelomithu na andũ a nyũmba yao nĩo maarũgamagĩrĩra igĩĩna ciothe cia indo iria ciarĩ nyamũre nĩ Mũthamaki Daudi, na indo iria ciarĩ nyamũre nĩ atongoria a nyũmba arĩa maarĩ anene a ikundi cia ngiri ngiri na ikundi cia igana igana, na ikaamũrwo nĩ anene arĩa angĩ a mbũtũ cia ita.
This Shelomoth and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ [houses], the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
27 Indo imwe cia iria ciatahĩtwo mbaara-inĩ maaciamũrĩire wĩra wa gũcookereria hekarũ ya Jehova.
Out of the spoil won in battles did they dedicate to repair the house of Jehovah.
28 Na rĩrĩ, indo ciothe iria ciaamũrĩtwo nĩ Samũeli ũrĩa muoni-maũndũ, na ikaamũrwo nĩ Saũlũ mũrũ wa Kishu, na Abineri mũrũ wa Neri, na Joabu mũrũ wa Zeruia, na indo iria ingĩ ciothe ciaamũrĩtwo-rĩ, ciamenyagĩrĩrwo nĩ Shelomithu na andũ a nyũmba yao.
And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whosoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth, and of his brethren.
29 Kuuma kũrĩ andũ a Iziharu: Kenania na ariũ ake nĩmaheirwo mawĩra na kũu nja ya hekarũ matuĩke anene na aciirithania a Isiraeli.
Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 Kuuma kũrĩ andũ a Hebironi: maarĩ Hashabia na andũ a nyũmba yao, andũ ehoti 1,700; nĩo maarũgamĩrĩire wĩra wa Jehova wothe kũu Isiraeli mwena wa ithũĩro wa Jorodani, o na wĩra wa gũtungatĩra mũthamaki.
Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valor, a thousand and seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of Jehovah, and for the service of the king.
31 Kuuma kũrĩ andũ a Hebironi, Jeria nĩwe warĩ mũnene wao kũringana na maandĩko ma njiarwa cia nyũmba ciao. Mwaka wa mĩrongo ĩna wa ũthamaki wa Daudi nĩ gwatuĩririo maandĩko-inĩ, na gũkĩoneka thĩinĩ wao andũ ehoti o kũu Jazeri ya Gileadi.
Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ [houses]. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.
32 Jeria aarĩ na andũ a nyũmba yao 2,700 arĩa maarĩ ehoti na maarĩ atongoria a nyũmba, nake Mũthamaki Daudi akĩmatua arũgamĩrĩri a andũ a Rubeni, na a andũ a Gadi, na nuthu ya mũhĩrĩga wa Manase maũndũ-inĩ mothe marĩa maakonainie na Ngai, o na marĩa maakonainie na ũhoro wa mũthamaki.
And his brethren, men of valor, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of fathers’ [houses], whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
