Now Jesse conceived the firstborn Eliab, the second Abinadab, the third Shammah,

Now Hur conceived Uri. And Uri conceived Bezalel.

Then too, the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
28 Ariũ a Onamu maarĩ: Shamai na Jada. Nao ariũ a Shamai maarĩ: Nadabu na Abishuri.
And Onam had sons: Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29 Mũtumia wa Abishuri eetagwo Abihaili, ũrĩa wamũciarĩire Ahabani na Molidi.
Truly, the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, who bore to him Ahban and Molid.

Now the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.

Truly, the son of Appaim was Ishi. And Ishi conceived Sheshan. Then Sheshan conceived Ahlai.
32 Ariũ a Jada, mũrũ wa nyina na Shamai, maarĩ: Jetheri na Jonathani. Jetheri aakuire atarĩ na ciana.
But the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. Then Jether also died without children.
33 Ariũ a Jonathani maarĩ: Pelethu na Zaza. Acio nĩo maarĩ njiaro cia Jerameeli.
And Jonathan conceived Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Sheshani ndaarĩ na aanake, no airĩtu. Aarĩ na ndungata ya kuuma Misiri yetagwo Jariha.
Now Sheshan did not have sons, but only daughters, and an Egyptian servant named Jarha.
35 Sheshani akĩhe Jariha ndungata ĩyo yake mwarĩ ĩmũhikie, nake akĩgĩa mwana wetagwo Atai.
And so he gave to him his daughter as wife, who bore to him Attai.
36 Atai nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Nathani, nake Nathani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Zabadi,
Then Attai conceived Nathan, and Nathan conceived Zabad.
37 nake Zabadi nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Efilali, nake Efilali nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Obedi,
Also, Zabad conceived Ephlal, and Ephlal conceived Obed.
38 nake Obedi nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Jehu, nake Jehu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Azaria,
Obed conceived Jehu; Jehu conceived Azariah.
39 nake Azaria nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Helezu, nake Helezu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Eleasa,
Azariah conceived Helez, and Helez conceived Eleasah.
40 nake Eleasa nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Sisimai, nake Sisimai nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Shalumu,
Eleasah conceived Sismai; Sismai conceived Shallum.
41 nake Shalumu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Jekamia, nake Jekamia nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Elishama.
Shallum conceived Jekamiah; then Jekamiah conceived Elishama.
42 Ariũ a Kalebu, ũrĩa warĩ mũrũ wa nyina na Jerameeli, maarĩ: Mesha irigithathi rĩake, na nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Zifu, na mũriũ Maresha ũrĩa warĩ ithe wa Hebironi.
And the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mesha, the father of Hebron.
43 Ariũ a Hebironi maarĩ: Kora, na Tapua, na Rekemu, na Shema.
Now the sons of Hebron were Korah, and Tapuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44 Shema nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Rahamu, na Rahamu nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Jorikeamu. Rekemu aarĩ ithe wa Shamai.
Then Shema conceived Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem conceived Shammai.
45 Mũrũ wa Shamai aarĩ Maoni, nake nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Bethi-Zuru.
The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.
46 Nake Efa, thuriya ya Kalebu, nĩwe warĩ nyina wa Harani, na Moza, na Gazezi. Nake Harani nĩwe warĩ ithe wa Gazezi.
Now Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez. And Haran conceived Gazez.
47 Ariũ a Jahadai maarĩ: Regemu, na Jothamu, na Geshani, na Peleti, na Efa, na Shaafu.
And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Nake Maaka, thuriya ya Kalebu, nĩwe warĩ nyina wa Sheberi na Tirihana.
And Maacah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.

Then Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, conceived Sheva, the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea. Truly, the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50 Acio nĩo maarĩ njiaro cia Kalebu. Ariũ a Huru, irigithathi rĩa Efiratha, maarĩ: Shobali ithe wa Kiriathu-Jearimu,
These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratha: Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;
51 na Salima ithe wa Bethilehemu, na Harefu ithe wa Bethi-Gaderi.
Salma, the father of Bethlehem; Hareph, the father of Bethgader.

And from the kindred of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these, the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites went forth.
