1 Thuutha wa mahinda macio, Daudi nĩatharĩkĩire Afilisti na akĩmatooria biũ, na agĩtunyana Gathu na matũũra marĩa maarĩrigiicĩirie kuuma watho-inĩ wa Afilisti.
And it came to pass after this, that David smote the Philistines, and humbled them; and he took Gath and its dependent towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 O na ningĩ Daudi nĩahootire andũ a Moabi, na magĩtuĩka a gwathwo nĩwe, makamũrutagĩra igooti.
And he smote Moab, and the Moabites became David's servants, bringing presents.
3 Ningĩ Daudi nĩahũũranire na Hadadezeri mũthamaki wa Zoba, akĩmũingata akĩmũkinyia Hamathu, rĩrĩa mũthamaki ũcio aathiiaga gũtũma wathani wake ũrũme wega ndwere-inĩ cia Rũũĩ rwa Farati.
David also smote Hadar'ezer the king of Zobah, at Chamath, as he went to establish his dominion at the river Euphrates.
4 Daudi akĩmũtunya ngaari ciake cia ita ngiri ĩmwe, na andũ a gũcitwara ngiri mũgwanja, na thigari cia magũrũ ngiri mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ. Nake agĩtemenga mbarathi icio cia mbaara magũrũ, agĩcithuithia ciothe tiga o igana rĩmwe.
And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand men on foot; and David hamstringed all the chariot-teams, but reserved of them a hundred chariot-teams.

And the Syrians of Damascus came to aid Hadar'ezer the king of Zobah, when David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

Then did David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and the Syrians became unto David servants, bringing presents. And the Lord helped David withersoever he went.
7 Daudi nĩatunyanire ngo cia thahabu iria ciarĩ na anene a Hadadezeri, na agĩcitwara Jerusalemu.
And David took the quivers of gold that were on the servants of Hadar'ezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 Kuuma matũũra ma Teba na Kuni marĩa maarĩ ma Hadadezeri, Daudi agĩtunyana gĩcango kĩingĩ mũno kĩrĩa Solomoni aahũthĩrire gũthondeka Karia ga gĩcango, na itugĩ, na mĩthemba mĩingĩ ya indo cia gĩcango.
And from Tibchath, and from Kun, cities of Hadar'ezer, did David take exceedingly much copper; thereof made Solomon the copper sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of copper.

And when To'u the king of Chamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadar'ezer the king of Zobah:
10 agĩtũma mũriũ Hadoramu kũrĩ Mũthamaki Daudi akamũgeithie na amũkũngũĩre nĩ ũndũ wa kũhoota Hadadezeri ũrĩa wakoretwo akĩrũa na Tou. Hadoramu agĩtwarĩra Daudi indo cia mĩthemba mĩingĩ ithondeketwo na thahabu na betha na gĩcango.
Then did he send Hadoram his son unto king David, to ask him after his well-being, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadar'ezer, and smitten him: for Hadar'ezer had been engaged in wars with To'u; and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and copper.
11 Mũthamaki Daudi akĩamũrĩra Jehova indo icio o ta ũrĩa aamũrĩte betha na thahabu iria aatahĩte kuuma kũrĩ andũ a ndũrĩrĩ ici ciothe: Edomu, na Moabi, na kuuma kũrĩ Amoni na Afilisti, na Amaleki.
Also these did king David sanctify unto the Lord, with the silver and the gold that he had carried away from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of 'Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from 'Amalek.
12 Abishai mũrũ wa Zeruia nĩooragire andũ a Edomu 18,000 o kũu Gĩtuamba-inĩ gĩa Cumbĩ.
And Abshai the son of Zeruyah smote of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand [men].
13 Nake akĩiga mbũtũ cia kũrangĩra kũu Edomu nao andũ a Edomu othe magĩtuĩka a gwathagwo nĩ Daudi. Jehova nĩaheire Daudi ũhootani kũrĩa guothe aathiiaga.
And he put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became servants unto David. And the Lord helped David withersoever he went.
14 Daudi nĩathamakire Isiraeli guothe, akahũthagĩra kĩhooto, na akahingĩria andũ ake othe maũndũ marĩa maagĩrĩire.
And David reigned over all Israel, and he did what is just and right unto all his people.
15 Joabu mũrũ wa Zeruia nĩwe warĩ mũnene wa ita, nake Jehoshafatu mũrũ wa Ahiludu nĩwe warĩ mwandĩki wa maũndũ ma ihinda rĩu.
And Joab the son of Zeruyah was over the army, and Jehoshaphat the son of Achilud, recorder.
16 Zadoku mũrũ wa Ahitubu, na Ahimeleku mũrũ wa Abiatharu maarĩ athĩnjĩri-Ngai, nake Shavisha nĩwe warĩ mwandĩki-marũa;
And Zadok the son of Achitub, and Abimelech the son of Ebyathar, were [the] priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17 Benaia mũrũ wa Jehoiada nĩwe warĩ mũnene wa Akerethi na Apelethi; nao ariũ a Daudi nĩo maarĩ atongoria na anene a gũikaranagia na mũthamaki.
And Benayahu the son of Jehoyada' was over the Kerethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were the first at the side of the king.
