Roemers 2
1 Darum kannst du dich, o Mensch, wer du auch bist, der da richtet, nicht entschuldigen; denn indem du den anderen richtest, sprichst du dir selbst das Urteil, weil du, der du richtest, dasselbe tust.
Therefore you are without excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
2 Wir wissen aber, daß Gott über die, welche solches tun, gerechtes Urteil spricht.
Now we know that the judgment of God is in accordance with truth against those who practice such things.
3 Denkst du aber, o Mensch, daß du, der du richtest die, so solches tun, und dasselbe tust, dem Gerichte Gottes entfliehen werdest?
And do you think this, you who judge those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?
4 Oder achtest du gering den Reichtum seiner Güte, Geduld und Langmut, indem du verkennst, daß die Güte Gottes dich zur Buße treibt?
Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
5 Du aber häufst nach deiner Verstocktheit und deinem unbußfertigen Herzen dir selbst Zorn auf den Tag des Zorns und der Offenbarung des gerechten Gerichtes Gottes,
But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Welcher einem jeglichen geben wird nach seinen Werken,
who "will pay back to everyone according to their works:"
7 Denen, die durch Beharrlichkeit im guten Werk nach Herrlichkeit, Ehre und Unvergänglichkeit strebten, ewiges Leben; (aiōnios g166)
to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality -- everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
8 Denen aber, die parteisüchtig sind und der Wahrheit nicht gehorchen, gehorchen aber der Ungerechtigkeit, Zorn und Entrüstung;
But to those who are self-seeking, and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness -- wrath and anger,
9 Drangsal und Angst über alle Menschenseelen, die Böses tun, zuerst den Juden und den Griechen;
affliction and distress, on every human being who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
10 Herrlichkeit aber und Ehre und Frieden einem jeglichen, der das Gute tut, den Juden zuerst und den Griechen;
But glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
11 Denn es ist kein Ansehen der Person bei Gott.
For there is no partiality with God.
12 Denn alle, die ohne das Gesetz gesündigt haben, werden ohne das Gesetz verlorengehen, und alle, die unter dem Gesetz gesündigt, werden durch das Gesetz gerichtet werden;
For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
13 Weil nicht die Hörer des Gesetzes vor Gott gerecht sind, sondern die Täter des Gesetzes werden gerechtfertigt werden;
For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.
14 Denn so die Heiden, die das Gesetz nicht haben, von Natur tun, was das Gesetz will, so sind diese, die das Gesetz nicht haben, sich selbst Gesetz,
For when the non-Jews who do not have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves,
15 Als die da zeigen, des Gesetzes Werk sei in ihre Herzen geschrieben, weil zugleich ihr Gewissen ihnen Zeugnis gibt und ihre Gedanken sich untereinander anklagen oder auch entschuldigen],
since they show the work of the law written on their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them,
16 An dem Tage, da Gott das Verborgene der Menschen durch Jesus Christus richten wird, laut meines Evangeliums.
in the day when God will judge the secrets of people, according to my Good News, by Meshikha Yeshua.
17 Wenn du nun ein Jude heißest und dich auf das Gesetz verläßt und dich Gottes rühmst,
But if you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the law, and boast in God,
18 Und kennst den Willen Desselben, und aus dem Gesetz unterrichtet prüfen kannst, was Recht und Unrecht ist,
and know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
19 Und dir getraust ein Führer der Blinden zu werden, ein Licht derer, die in Finsternis sind,
and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
20 Ein Erzieher der Unverständigen, ein Lehrer der Einfältigen, der den Inbegriff der Erkenntnis und der Wahrheit in dem Gesetz hat;
a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of children, having in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth.
21 Warum belehrst du, der du andere belehrst, dich selber nicht? Du predigst, man solle nicht stehlen, und stiehlst!
You therefore who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?
22 Du sagst, man soll nicht ehebrechen, und brichst die Ehe! Du sprichst deinen Abscheu vor Götzen aus und bist ein Tempelräuber?
You who say that one should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob temples?
23 Du rühmst dich des Gesetzes, und schändest Gott durch Übertretung des Gesetzes?
You who boast in the law, do you, by disobeying the law, dishonor God?
24 Denn euretwegen wird der Name Gottes gelästert unter den Heiden, wie die Schrift sagt.
For because of you the name of God is blasphemed among the nations, just as it is written.
25 Die Beschneidung hat zwar ihren Nutzen, wenn du das Gesetz hältst; bist du aber ein Übertreter des Gesetzes, so ist deine Beschneidung zur Vorhaut geworden.
For circumcision indeed profits, if you are a doer of the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
26 So nun die Vorhaut die Rechte des Gesetzes hält, wird ihm da die Vorhaut nicht für eine Beschneidung angerechnet werden?
If therefore the uncircumcised keep the requirements of the law, won't his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?
27 Wird also nicht die natürliche Vorhaut, die das Gesetz vollbringt, dich richten, der du bei dem Buchstaben und der Beschneidung ein Übertreter des Gesetzes bist?
Won't the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfills the law, judge you, who with the letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the law?
28 Denn der ist noch kein rechter Jude, der auswendig ein Jude ist, auch ist das keine Beschneidung, die nur auswendig am Fleisch geschieht;
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh;
29 Sondern der ist ein Jude, der inwendig ein Jude ist, und die wahre Beschneidung ist die des Herzens, im Geist und nicht im Buchstaben; ein solcher hat sein Lob nicht von Menschen, sondern von Gott.
but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, by the Rukha, not in the letter; whose praise is not from people, but from God.
