Psalm 86
1 Jehovah, neige Dein Ohr, antworte mir; denn elend und dürftig bin ich.
Yahweh, listen [IDM] to what I say and answer me, because I am weak and needy.
2 Behüte meine Seele, denn ich bin heilig; rette Du, mein Gott, Deinen Knecht, der auf Dich vertraut.
Prevent me from dying now, because I (am loyal to/continue to believe in) you; save/rescue me, because I serve you and I trust in you, my God.
3 Herr, sei mir gnädig; denn zu Dir rufe ich den ganzen Tag.
Lord, be kind to me, because I cry out to you all during the day.
4 Mache fröhlich die Seele Deines Knechtes, denn zu Dir, Herr, erhebe ich meine Seele.
Lord, cause me to be glad, because I (pray to/worship) [IDM] you.
5 Denn Du, Herr, bist gut und vergibst, und viel ist Deiner Barmherzigkeit gegen alle, die Dich anrufen.
Lord, you are good [to us], and you forgive [us]; you faithfully love very much all those who (pray/call out) to you.
6 Nimm zu Ohren, o Jehovah, mein Gebet, und horche auf die Stimme meines Flehens.
Lord, listen to my prayer; hear me when I cry out to you to help me.
7 Am Tage meiner Drangsal rufe ich zu Dir; denn Du antwortest mir.
When I have troubles, I call out to you, because you answer me.
8 Keiner ist wie Du, Herr, unter den Göttern, und keine Taten wie die Deinigen.
Lord, among all the gods [whom the heathen nations worship], there is no one like you; not one of them has done [the great things] that you have done.
9 Alle Völkerschaften, die Du gemacht, werden kommen und anbeten, Herr, vor Dir, und Deinen Namen verherrlichen.
Lord, [some day, people from] all the nations that you have established will come and bow down in front of you and they will praise you [MTY].
10 Denn groß bist Du und tust Wunder, Du bist Gott allein.
You are great, and you do wonderful/marvelous things; only you are God.
11 Weise mir, Jehovah, Deinen Weg, ich will in Deiner Wahrheit wandeln, einige mein Herz zur Furcht Deines Namens.
Yahweh, teach me what you want me to do in order that I may conduct my life according to what you say, which is true. Cause/Teach me to revere you.
12 Ich bekenne Dich, Herr, mein Gott, von ganzem Herzen und verherrliche Deinen Namen ewiglich.
Lord, my God, I [will] thank you with all my inner being, and I will praise you forever.
13 Denn Deine Barmherzigkeit ist groß über mir, und Du hast errettet meine Seele aus der untersten Hölle. (Sheol h7585)
You faithfully love me very much; you have prevented me from [dying and going to] the place where dead people are. (Sheol h7585)
14 O Gott, Vermessene sind aufgestanden wider mich, und eine Rotte Trotziger trachtet mir nach der Seele, und setzen Dich nicht vor sich.
But God, proud men are [trying to] attack me; a gang/group of cruel men are wanting to kill me; they are men who do not have any (respect for/interest in) you.
15 Du aber, Herr, bist ein Gott, erbarmungsvoll und gnädig, langmütig und von großer Barmherzigkeit und Wahrheit.
But Lord, you always are mercifully and kind; you do not become angry quickly, you faithfully love us very much and always do for us what you have promised to do.
16 Wende Dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, gib Deinem Knecht Deine Stärke und rette den Sohn Deiner Magd.
Look down toward me and be merciful to me; cause me to be strong and save/rescue me who serves you [faithfully] like my mother did.
17 Ein Zeichen tue an mir zum Guten, daß es sehen, die mich hassen, und sie sich schämen. Denn Du bist mein Beistand, Jehovah, und tröstest mich!
Yahweh, do something to show me that you are being good to me in order that those who hate me will see that you have encouraged me and helped me, and as a result they will be ashamed.
