Psalm 66

1 Es juble zu Gott die ganze Erde.

For the Leader. A Song, a Psalm. Shout unto God, all the earth;

2 Singt Psalmen der Herrlichkeit Seines Namens, machet Sein Lob zur Herrlichkeit.

Sing praises unto the glory of His name; make His praise glorious.

3 Sprechet zu Gott: Wie furchtbar sind Deine Taten! Dir huldigen Deine Feinde ob Deiner vielen Stärke.

Say unto God: 'How tremendous is Thy work! Through the greatness of Thy power shall Thine enemies dwindle away before Thee.

4 Alles Land bete Dich an, und singe Dir Psalmen, Deinem Namen singen sie Psalmen! (Selah)

All the earth shall worship Thee, and shall sing praises unto Thee; they shall sing praises to Thy name.' (Selah)

5 Kommet her und sehet die Werke Gottes! Furchtbar ist Sein Tun an den Söhnen des Menschen.

Come, and see the works of God; He is terrible in His doing toward the children of men.

6 Das Meer hat Er ins Trockene verwandelt; zu Fuß zogen sie hinüber durch den Fluß. Da sind wir fröhlich in Ihm.

He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there let us rejoice in Him!

7 Ewiglich herrscht Er in Seiner Macht. Sein Auge erspäht die Völkerschaften. Nicht mögen die Aufrührer sich erhöhen. (Selah)

Who ruleth by His might for ever; His eyes keep watch upon the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)

8 Segnet unseren Gott, ihr Völker, und laßt hören die Stimme Seines Lobes.

Bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of His praise to be heard;

9 Der unsere Seele setzt unter die Lebendigen, und unseren Fuß nicht wanken läßt.

Who hath set our soul in life, and suffered not our foot to be moved,

10 Denn Du hast uns geprüft, Gott, uns geläutert, wie man Silber läutert.

For Thou, O God, hast tried us; Thou hast refined us, as silver is refined.

11 Ins Garn hast Du uns gebracht, hast Trübsal gelegt auf unsere Lenden.

Thou didst bring us into the hold; Thou didst lay constraint upon our loins.

12 Du ließest den Menschen reiten über unser Haupt, wir kamen ins Feuer und ins Wasser; doch hast Du uns herausgeführt ins Weite.

Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; but Thou didst bring us out unto abundance.

13 Ich will mit Brandopfern in Dein Haus kommen, will meine Gelübde Dir bezahlen,

I will come into Thy house with burnt-offerings, I will perform unto Thee my vows,

14 Was meine Lippen ausgesprochen, und mein Mund geredet hat in meiner Drangsal.

Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in distress.

15 Ich will Dir markige Brandopfer aufopfern, mit der Widder Räuchwerk, will Rinder Dir samt Böcken darbringen. (Selah)

I will offer unto Thee burnt-offerings of fatlings, with the sweet smoke of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. (Selah)

16 Kommt, höret alle, die ihr Gott fürchtet, und ich erzähle euch, was Er an meiner Seele getan hat.

Come, and hearken, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.

17 Mit meinem Munde rief ich zu Ihm, und Erhöhung ist unter meiner Zunge.

I cried unto Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue.

18 Hätte auf Unrecht ich gesehen in meinem Herzen, nicht hätte der Herr gehört.

If I had regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear;

19 Allein Gott hörte, Er horchte auf meines Gebetes Stimme.

But verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Gesegnet sei Gott, Der mein Gebet nicht wegnahm, noch Seine Barmherzigkeit von mir.

Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.
