Psalm 50
1 Ein Psalm von Asaph. Der Gott, der Gott Jehovah, redet und ruft der Erde von der Sonne Aufgang bis zu ihrem Untergang.
“A psalm of Asaph.” The mighty God, Jehovah, speaketh, and calleth the earth, From the rising of the sun to its going down.
2 Aus Zion strahlt der Schönheit Vollendung, Gott.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
3 Unser Gott kommt und schweigt nicht stille; Feuer frißt vor Ihm, und rings um Ihn stürmt es sehr.
Our God cometh, and will not be silent; Before him is a devouring fire, And around him a raging tempest.
4 Er wird rufen den Himmeln droben und der Erde, auf daß Er Seinem Volke Recht spreche.
He calleth to the heavens on high, And to the earth, while he judgeth his people:
5 Versammelt Mir Meine Heiligen, die über dem Opfer den Bund mit Mir geschlossen.
“Gather together before me my godly ones, Who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice!”
6 Und die Himmel sagen an Seine Gerechtigkeit, denn Gott Selbst ist Richter. (Selah)
(And the heavens shall declare his righteousness, For it is God himself that is judge., Pause)
7 Höre, mein Volk, und Ich will reden; Israel, Ich will gegen dich zeugen, Gott, dein Gott, bin Ich.
“Hear, O my people, and I will speak! O Israel, and I will testify against thee! For I am God, thine own God.
8 Nicht rüge Ich dich ob deiner Opfer und deine Brandopfer sind beständig vor Mir.
I reprove thee not on account of thy sacrifices; For thy burnt-offerings are ever before me.
9 Ich will nicht Farren nehmen aus deinem Haus, Böcke aus deinen Hürden.
I will take no bullock from thy house, Nor he-goat from thy folds;
10 Denn Mein ist alles Wild des Waldes, das Vieh auf Tausenden der Berge.
For all the beasts of the forest are mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 Ich kenne alles Gevögel der Berge, und das Gewild des Feldes ist bei Mir.
I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are before me.
12 Sollte Ich hungern, Ich sagte es dir nicht; denn Mein ist die Welt und was sie füllt.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and all that is therein.
13 Soll Ich der Gewaltigen Fleisch essen und das Blut der Böcke trinken?
Do I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
14 Opfere Gott Bekennen, und erstatte dem Allerhöchsten deine Gelübde.
Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay thy vows to the Most High!
15 Und rufe Mich an am Tage der Drangsal, so reiße Ich dich heraus, und du sollst Mich verherrlichen.
Then call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me!”
16 Und zu dem Ungerechten spricht Gott: Was ist es mit dir, daß du Meine Satzungen erzählst, und Meinen Bund in deinem Munde trägst?
And to the wicked God saith, “To what purpose dost thou talk of my statutes? And why hast thou my laws upon thy lips?—
17 Und du hassest Zucht und wirfst Meine Worte hinter dich?
Thou, who hatest instruction And castest my words behind thee!
18 Ersiehst du einen Dieb, so läufst du mit ihm, und mit den Ehebrechern ist dein Teil.
When thou seest a thief, thou art in friendship with him, And hast fellowship with adulterers.
19 Du entsendest deinen Mund zum Bösen, und Trug flicht deine Zunge.
Thou lettest loose thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit;
20 Du sitzest, redest wider deinen Bruder und wider deiner Mutter Sohn gibst du Verleumdung aus.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
21 Das tatest du, und Ich habe still geschwiegen, da meintest du, Ich sei wie du; doch Ich rüge dich und lege es zurecht vor deinen Augen.
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Hence thou thoughtest that I was altogether like thyself: But I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thine eyes.
22 Betrachtet doch das, ihr, die ihr Gott vergesset, daß Ich euch nicht zerfleische und keiner errette.
Mark this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and none deliver you!
23 Wer Bekenntnis opfert, der verherrlicht Mich, und wer den Weg zurichtet, den lasse Ich sehen das Heil Gottes.
Whoso offereth praise honoreth me; And to him who hath regard to his ways Will I show salvation from God.”
