1 Bringt her Jehovah, ihr Söhne Gottes, bringt her Jehovah Herrlichkeit und Stärke!

Ascribe to Jehovah, O ye sons of the mighty, ascribe to Jehovah glory and strength.

2 Bringt her Jehovah die Herrlichkeit Seines Namens, betet an Jehovah in der Pracht der Heiligkeit!

Ascribe to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Worship Jehovah in holy array.

3 Die Stimme Jehovahs ist auf den Wassern, der Gott der Herrlichkeit donnert, Jehovah auf vielen Wassern.

The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters. The God of glory thunders, even Jehovah upon many waters.

4 Die Stimme Jehovahs ist mit Kraft; Jehovahs Stimme ist mit Ehre.

The voice of Jehovah is powerful. The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 Die Stimme Jehovahs zerbricht die Zedern und Jehovah zerbricht die Zedern des Libanon.

The voice of Jehovah breaks the cedars. Yea, Jehovah breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 Und Er läßt sie hüpfen wie ein Kalb; den Libanon und den Sirjon wie den Sohn der Einhörner.

He makes them also to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.

7 Die Stimme Jehovahs haut die Flammen des Feuers.

The voice of Jehovah splits the flames of fire.

8 Jehovahs Stimme erschüttert die Wüste, Jehovah erschüttert die Wüste Kadesch.

The voice of Jehovah shakes the wilderness. Jehovah shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 Jehovahs Stimme macht die Hindinnen kreißen, und entblößt die Wälder. Und in Seinem Tempel sagt alles Herrlichkeit!

The voice of Jehovah makes the hinds to calve, and strips the forests bare. And in his temple everything says, Glory.

10 Jehovah sitzt bei der Flut, und Jehovah sitzt als König in Ewigkeit.

Jehovah sat as King at the Flood. Yea, Jehovah sits as King forever.

11 Jehovah wird Seinem Volk Stärke geben, Jehovah wird Sein Volk im Frieden segnen.

Jehovah will give strength to his people. Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
