Psalm 16
1 Michtham Davids. Behüte mich, Gott, denn ich verlasse mich auf Dich.
A miktam of David protect me O God for I have taken refuge in you.
2 Ich spreche zu Jehovah: Du bist mein Herr, mein Gutes reicht nicht an Dich.
You [fem] said to Yahweh [are the] Lord you good my not [is] on you.
3 An den Heiligen, die im Lande sind, und an den Herrlichen, an ihnen habe ich all meine Lust.
To [the] holy [ones] who [are] in the land they and [the] majestic [ones] [whom] all delight my [is] in them.
4 Sie mehren ihre Schmerzen, einem anderen eilen sie nach. Nicht gieße ich ihre Trankopfer von Blut, und trage ihre Namen nicht auf meinen Lippen.
They will increase sorrows their [those who] another [god] they hurried after not I will pour out drink offerings their from blood and not I will take names their on lips my.
5 Jehovah, mein Anteil bist Du am Teile und mein Becher; Du erhältst mein Los.
Yahweh [is] [the] portion of possession my and cup my you [are] holding lot my.
6 Mein Los ist mir aufs Lieblichste gefallen, ja, mein Erbe ist hold.
Boundary lines they have fallen to me in pleasant [places] also an inheritance it is beautiful on me.
7 Jehovah segne ich, Der mich beraten hat, ja, in den Nächten züchtigen mich meine Nieren.
I will bless Yahweh who he has counseled me also nights they have instructed me kidneys my.
8 Jehovah habe ich beständig vor mich gestellt. Weil Er mir zur Rechten ist, wanke ich nicht.
I have placed Yahweh to before me continually for [he is] from right [hand] my not I will be shaken.
9 Darum ist fröhlich mein Herz, und frohlockt meine Herrlichkeit; ja, mein Fleisch wohnt in Sicherheit.
Therefore - it is glad heart my and it rejoiced honor my also body my it will dwell to security.
10 Denn nicht läßt Du in der Hölle meine Seele, Deinen Heiligen gibst Du nicht hin, die Verwesung zu sehen. (Sheol h7585)
For - not you will abandon life my to Sheol not you will permit faithful [one] your to see [the] pit. (Sheol h7585)
11 Du machst kund mir des Lebens Pfad, Fülle der Fröhlichkeit ist vor Deinem Angesicht, Lieblichkeit in Deiner Rechten immerdar.
You will make known to me [the] path of life abundance of gladness [are] with presence your pleasant [things] [are] at right [hand] your perpetuity.
