Psalm 135
1 Hallelujah! Lobet den Namen Jehovahs, lobet, ihr Knechte Jehovahs!
Halleluyah ·praise Yah·! Praise Adonai’s name! Praise him, you servants of Adonai,
2 Ihr, die ihr steht in dem Hause Jehovahs, in den Höfen des Hauses unseres Gottes:
you who stand in Adonai’s house, in the courts of our God’s house.
3 Hallelujah; denn gut ist Jehovah. Singt Psalmen Seinem Namen; denn lieblich ist Er.
Halleluyah ·praise Yah·, for Adonai is good. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to his name, for that is pleasant.
4 Denn Jakob hat Jah Sich erwählt, Israel zu Seinem besonderen Eigentum.
For Yah has chosen Jacob [Supplanter] for himself; Israel [God prevails] for his own segulah ·special treasure·.
5 Denn ich weiß, daß groß ist Jehovah, und unser Herr vor allen Göttern;
For I know that Adonai is great, that our Lord is above all deities.
6 Alles, wozu Jehovah Lust hat, tut Er im Himmel und auf Erden, im Meer und allen Abgründen.
Whatever Adonai pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;
7 Er führt Dünste herauf vom Ende der Erde, macht Blitze zu Regen, bringt den Wind heraus aus Seinen Schätzen.
who causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth; who makes lightnings with the rain; who brings the wind out of his treasuries;
8 Der die Erstgeborenen Ägyptens schlug vom Menschen bis zum Vieh;
Who struck the firstborn of Egypt [Abode of slavery], both of man and animal;
9 Er sandte Zeichen und Wahrzeichen, in deine Mitte Ägypten, wider Pharao und wider alle seine Knechte.
Who sent signs and wonders into the middle of you, Egypt [Abode of slavery], on Pharaoh, and on all his servants;
10 Der viele Völkerschaften hat geschlagen und mächtige Könige erwürgte.
who struck many nations, and killed mighty kings,
11 Sichon, den König der Amoriter, und Og, den König Baschans, und alle Königreiche Kanaans.
Sihon king of the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers], Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan [Humbled],
12 Und Der ihr Land zum Erbe hat gegeben, zum Erbe Israel, Seinem Volke.
and gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel [God prevails], his people.
13 Jehovah, Dein Name ist ewig, Jehovah, Dein Gedächtnis zu Geschlecht und Geschlecht.
Your name, Adonai, endures forever; your renown, Adonai, throughout all generations.
14 Denn Recht wird sprechen Seinem Volk Jehovah, und es wird Ihn gereuen wegen Seiner Knechte.
For Adonai will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants.
15 Die Götzen der Völkerschaften sind Silber und Gold, sie sind gemacht von den Händen des Menschen.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
16 Einen Mund haben sie und reden nicht; Augen haben sie und sehen nicht.
They have mouths, but they can’t speak. They have eyes, but they can’t see.
17 Sie haben Ohren und nehmen nicht zu Ohren, auch ist in ihrem Mund kein Hauch.
They have ears, but they can’t hear; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18 Wie sie werden sein, die sie machen, ein jeder, der auf sie vertraut.
Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
19 O Haus Israel, segnet Jehovah; o Haus Aharons, segnet Jehovah!
House of Israel [God prevails], praise Adonai! House of Aaron [Light-bringer], praise Adonai!
20 O Haus Levi, segnet Jehovah; die ihr Jehovah fürchtet, segnet Jehovah!
House of Levi [United with], praise Adonai! You who fear Adonai, praise Adonai!
21 Gesegnet sei Jehovah aus Zion, Er, Der in Jerusalem wohnt. Hallelujah!
Blessed be Adonai from Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], Who dwells at Jerusalem [City of peace]. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
