Psalm 132

1 Gedenke, Jehovah, an David, an all sein Elend.

A Song of Ascents. Yahweh, remember David and all his affliction,

2 An ihn, der Jehovah schwor, gelobte dem Gewaltigen Jakobs:

how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 Ich gehe nicht hinein in meines Hauses Zelt, steige nicht hinauf auf das Ruhebett meiner Lagerstätte.

“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 Ich gebe meinen Augen keinen Schlaf, den Augenwimpern keinen Schlummer;

I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,

5 Bis ich gefunden habe einen Ort für Jehovah, Wohnungen für den Gewaltigen Jakobs.

until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 Siehe, wir hörten von Ihm in Ephratha, wir fanden Ihn in dem Gefilde des Waldes.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar.

7 Laßt uns zu Seinen Wohnungen eingehen, anbeten zu Seiner Füße Schemel.

“We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.”

8 Mache Dich auf, Jehovah, zu Deiner Ruhe, Du und die Lade Deiner Stärke.

Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength.

9 Laß Deine Priester sich kleiden in Gerechtigkeit, und jubeln Deine Heiligen.

Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!

10 Um Davids, Deines Knechtes willen wende nicht zurück das Angesicht Deines Gesalbten.

For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

11 Jehovah hat dem David Wahrheit geschworen. Nimmer wird Er davon zurückgehen: Von deines Leibes Frucht will Ich dir setzen auf den Thron.

Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

12 Wenn deine Söhne halten Meinen Bund und Mein Zeugnis, das Ich sie lehre, sollen auch ihre Söhne fort und fort sitzen auf deinem Thron.

If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”

13 Denn Jehovah hat Sich Zion erwählt, zum Wohnsitz für Sich ersehnt.

For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

14 Dies ist Meine Ruhe fort und fort, hier will Ich wohnen; denn Ich habe es ersehnt.

“This is my resting place forever. I will live here, for I have desired it.

15 Ich werde seine Zehrung mit Segen segnen; werde seine Dürftigen sättigen mit Brot.

I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 Und seine Priester will Ich Heil anziehen lassen, und seine Heiligen sollen jubeln.

I will also clothe her priests with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

17 Da will Ich David sprossen lassen ein Horn, will Meinem Gesalbten eine Leuchte zurichten.

I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

18 Seine Feinde will Ich Scham anziehen lassen, aber auf ihm soll erblühen sein Diadem.

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”
