Psalm 126

1 Wenn Jehovah die Gefangenen Zions zurückbringt, werden wir sein wie Träumende.

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like them that dream.

2 Da wird des Lachens voll sein unser Mund, und unsere Zunge von Jubelsang. Da werden sie unter den Völkerschaften sagen: Großes hat Jehovah getan.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then said they among the nations, “The LORD hath done great things for them!”

3 Jehovah hat Großes mit uns getan. Wir sind froh.

Yea, the LORD hath done great things for us, For which we are glad.

4 Bringe unsere Gefangenschaft zurück, Jehovah, wie die Gießbäche im Mittagsland.

Bring back, O LORD! our captivity, Like streams in the South!

5 Die, so mit Tränen säen, werden mit Jubelsang ernten.

They who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

6 Weinend geht dahin der den Samenwurf trägt, er kommt mit Jubelsang, er trägt seine Garben.

Yea, he goeth forth weeping, bearing his seed; He shall surely come back rejoicing, bearing his sheaves.
