Psalm 113

1 Hallelujah! Lobet, ihr Knechte Jehovahs, lobet Jehovahs Namen!

Praise Yahweh. Praise him, you servants of Yahweh; praise the name of Yahweh.

2 Jehovahs Name sei gesegnet von nun an und bis in Ewigkeit!

Blessed be the name of Yahweh, both now and forevermore.

3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobt Jehovahs Name!

From the rising of the sun to its setting, Yahweh's name should be praised.

4 Erhöht über alle Völkerschaften ist Jehovah, über die Himmel Seine Herrlichkeit.

Yahweh is exalted above all nations, and his glory reaches above the skies.

5 Wer ist wie Jehovah, unser Gott, Der hoch macht Seinen Sitz.

Who is like Yahweh our God, who has his seat on high,

6 Der Sich erniedrigt, zu sehen in die Himmel und die Erde.

who looks down at the sky and at the earth?

7 Der aus dem Staub aufrichtet den Armen, von dem Düngerhaufen erhöht den Dürftigen,

He raises up the poor out of the dirt and lifts up the needy from the ash heap,

8 Daß Er ihn lasse sitzen mit den Edlen, mit den Edlen Seines Volkes.

so that he may seat him with princes, with the princes of his people.

9 Der die Unfruchtbare läßt im Hause wohnen, eine frohe Mutter von Söhnen. Hallelujah!

He gives a home to the barren woman of the house, he makes her a joyful mother of children. Praise Yahweh!
